This book was packed full of humor and romance and I really loved every single page of it. I will be reading more by Goodwin for sure.

What a story! I could not turn the pages fast enough. I was beyond captivated.

I highly recommend.

I thought this was really good. I loved Amelia’s relationship with her kids. She always said the most amazing things and you could feel her love for them jump off the page. The kids themselves were adorable. They were not without faults or trauma, but they had such wonderful personalities.

The romance was a little irritating. At some point the friendzoning when clearly you want to be more just goes on too long and that’s what happened here. Although I did really like their interactions when they were together. They were a wonderful couple and I wanted more of them.

The whole Gnomegate plot was fun. And Carla was fun to hate. I liked the direction it ended up going in the end.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.

Read this book if you like: Single mom, second chance at love, light reads, kind of rivals

This was so cute, funny, and charming. I love the banter between Amelia and Kyle. They are a bit of rivals. She just moved to the neighborhood after her divorce. Now she's at odds with the hot HOA president, Kyle. The characters are well-developed. This is a fun light read. I don't consider it enemies to lovers like the blurb. It doesn't have that feel. I highly recommend it!

A cute romance between recently divorces Amelia and HOA President Kyle. After neighbor Carla complains about a garden gnome in Amelia's front yard, a comical HOA fight ensues, and Amelia finds friendship (and maybe more?) in the unlikeliest of places.

I enjoyed this book tremendously. This mom is getting a second chance at love while taking care of her kids and standing up for herself against the hate HOA. It hilarious and endearing.

This story was cute, funny and easy to read.
We've Amelia a divorced Mother who has 2 childs (Chloe y Jacob) moving to a New City after things go bad with her ex husband. The plot goes with her having a little gnome in her Yard that cause a whole war between her and the supervisor of their neighborhood. In this process she founds Kyle the president of The HOA or "the easter bunny" and sparks flies instantly. They became best friends because she friend zones him 🤦🏻‍♀️. Even if the book has little romance between Kyle and Amelia, something that I personally enjoyed to much was the moments between Amelia and her childs. Like seriosuly she's a total mama Bear and an amazing mom in every way.
Thank Net Galley for the ARC in exchange of a honest review.

By: Tracy Goodwin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/4 stars

I really enjoyed this one because it was funny, quick and light. It was a nice story to read after reading so many thrillers/chillers. 🙂 And shhhhh, it has a happy ending 🤫.

Recently divorced, mother of two, Amelia Marsh, moves near to her parents home. Castle Rock is a suburb of Houston and she's looking for a fresh start. Somewhere that she and her children can start to heal from the devastation of what their husband/father did to them.

Little did she know that she'd be getting involved in a dispute shortly after moving in. HOA representative, Carla (bitch...🤭), immediately starts to harass Amelia over a garden gnome located in her front yard. This isn't so much the issue for Amelia, it's that every time she turns around, Carla is talking trash about her and her life. After what Amelia has just been though, she's not going to be a pushover anymore! She's taking her issues to the next HOA meeting and she will bring an army with her!

I really enjoyed this book because Amelia is such a relatable character as a mother, friend, etc. She has flaws, makes mistakes but she owns up to them and takes accountability for them but believe me, she expects that from everyone else as well! I laughed quite a bit so this one was a success!

What a cute read. The whole premise of the HOA so against the gnomes makes me smile. As someone who lives near Houston I thought that it was so fun to read a book that takes place right in my neighborhood. I think that the whole story from start to finish was just a joy to read. I will say though as an avid enemies to lovers trope lover-this did feel a bit more like friends to lovers if anything. I loved Amelia and Marsh and her children. Overall I thought this was a really sweet and quick read that I enjoyed immensely. It is such a fun pallet cleanser especially when you want to feel joy between heavier books.

This was a light, predictable rom-com that had some spiritual overtones and unrealistic depiction of the mom who does it all that made the book hard to love. Amelia is a recently divorced, single parent and Kyle is the HOA President pitted against her. While the story was billed as enemies-to-lovers (my favourite of all romance tropes!), this didn't actually have our two main characters at odds with each other. The potential tension was hardly present, and the set pieces were scenes any good romance reader / watcher will recognize.

Super cute rom-com. You don’t cross a mama bear ever. I really enjoyed the realistic characters. I will say the ending, while cute, didn’t feel final. Hopefully that means we will be seeing these characters again. There’s definitely potential for a series with the other characters being the stars.

This was a fun and quick read with lots of laugh and romance. A good story, but be warned - at times the main character can seem a little over the top.

This is a first time read for me by this author and it was quite and enjoyable read. It had great characters and was a fun and cute story. Amelia is trying to make a home for her kids after a recent divorce and finding out her husband cheated on her. She just wants her and her kids to have a normal life. But her neighbors in the community make that hard by making her the center of gossip. And then when the HOA tells her that her children's garden gnome is a violation of rules, she is having none of it. Kyle is the president of the HOA and it's his responsibility to make sure the rules are followed. While Amelia prepares herself for battle with the HOA, she has Kyle's full support. Kyle never thought much about kids, but he is attracted to Amelia and finds that he enjoys spending time with her kids. I enjoyed seeing the relationship between them blossom and grow.
The storytelling was well done and flowed nicely and the characters were fun and interesting. Kyle and Amelia were great characters and and they had an undeniable connection The story was engaging and held my interest all the way through. As with all good stories, there is a bit of drama along with the romance but it all comes to a satisfying conclusion at the end. This was a sweet and fun, romance with endearing characters that's sure to put a smile on your face. An easy and enjoyable read, and I am happy to have had the opportunity to review.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I really, really wanted to like this book. I liked the characters. I liked the story. I just felt that the writing dragged it out too much. It was overly descriptive and repetitive. It was almost a DNF but I soldiered on.

Thank you Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a fun and funny story - lots of laughs with some romance thrown in, I didn't LOVE it, but it was an easy read and I can see myself checking out more of Goodwin's work.

I might have been a too close to liking this book in the end due to the situation with the children and their father. However, i thought this was a nice way to pass the afternoon with a good book. The pros were definitely Amelia and how she went to bat for her kids and the gnome. Her relationship with Kyle felt good and genuine. Carla felt like a Karen but there was a depth there that I appreciated. The only thing that I disliked was that the narrating got annoying here and there. However, this is a solid 3 star read and I can't wait to see what the author does next.

This was a nice, relaxing book. Amelia is divorced and she and her two children move into a home with a strict neighborhood enforcement community. She deals with the kids and school, friends and the community watch and trying to make time for herself. The kids do not miss their father as he never spent time with them. Amelia is likeable and makes it easy to slip into her shoes. I thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.

Tracy Goodwin's With Neighbors Like This is an entertaining rom-com set amidst a suburban community with tons of colorful characters. Here we are introduced to Amelia Marsh, a newly divorced mom of two, who inadvertently starts a battle with the property management representative, Carla, over a forbidden garden gnome in her front yard. Through this we also see Amelia's personal struggles with coping with her divorce and her children's absentee father. While all of this occurs, Amelia befriends the HOA president, Kyle, and they start to fall for each other against both of their stipulations that they would not in Amelia's case put her children in another vulnerable position and in Kyle's case not put himself in a position to get attached to the person he's dating's children. Despite it all, Kyle and Amelia decide to give each other a chance and Amelia has Carla removed from her position as property manager representative for abusive of power. Overall, this was a quirky, lovable read and the author does an excellent job bringing through the humor and sarcasm written into the story.
