I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

Cute story about finding out who you are in a city different from home. Sometimes, we just need to grow up, and that’s just what Sophia wants to do. Seeking relationships that help build her up rather than tear her down, Sophia works on herself while also working on Danny. Danny is our MMC, who seems to hook up with Sophia on the regular, but they’re not relationship territory for most of the book. Spicy, by all means, but nothing deep for most of the book. Then, Sophia decides to cut the toxic and focus on the positive, and that’s about when the book ends. Overall, a decent read! Thanks for the opportunity to review!

This was a really good read and I look forward to reading more future books by Sonia Palermo. The cover wasn't my favorite and didn't really draw me in but the story more than made up for it.

2.5 but rounding up to 3. I really wanted to like this story but it just didn't work for me. Sophia annoyed me more so much I think that's what ruined the book for me. I wish I liked this one more because the synopsis sounded promising. Unfortunately it was a miss for me.

I always like this type of book, but this time I felt disappointed. I don't know, maybe the characters, or the plot very bland. It's a very quick reading.

I just couldn't get into the book at all, I mean the characters felt bland and plain. I couldn't get into the book at all. i mean maybe it was not for me. I truly liked the whole story setting but I think author could have added more to the characters.

I really enjoyed this! It was quite a quick read too!
As someone with Italian heritage I loved the little references to Italian sweets.
I liked how some serious topics were covered while also keeping the book relatively lighthearted

This book was an interesting deep dive into the main character's inner workings in a really unique and gripping way. I like how it dissected her motivations and choices through and through, The romance throughout the book was organic and loving and I was hooked!

This fun romance follows a young party girl who is seeking to transform her life and discover her self-worth. A chance encounter with an older man at a bar may be just the thing to set this transformation into motion.
This romance ticked all the boxes and included a good storyline and many spicy scenes, but it also touched on quite a few real-world issues such as dealing with trauma and date rape. That made the book that much more realistic for me, and I appreciated their inclusion. Overall, I'd recommend this book to any romance fans! It was a good read!

I'd like to thank Netgalley and Sonia Palermo for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

In all honesty this should have been a quick read for me but I just didn't feel invested in it. I really didn't feel anything for the characters and I'm not sure what the plot was. Sophia is a party girl who really doesn't want to be anymore. She's tired of just having meaningless sex with the same people. There is a lot of drama between friends, that I'm not sure had to be there. She meets a "rock star" who is older that she falls for but Danny is sometimes in to her and pushes her away at others. In the end they do end up in a HEA but it feels like it will be toxic to me.

Ok enough of my rant. I did like the cover. I liked how it dealt with eating disorders as a hot topic.

Hot girl summer is the quick read. The story was about a 26 year old who was trying to find herself and following her dreams. Our MC sees herself as nothing more than a party girl, but later we discover that this is a protective layer. She feels she has to protect herself from heartbreak and the story evolves to how her life changes when she learns her worth and discovers what she really wants. Hot Girl Summer brings together music, love, self worth, mental illness and friendship. It wasn't an over the top read, but it was definitely one I would see myself recommending to rom-com fans. 3.5 stars.

Hot Girl Summer by Sonia Palermo features a party girl as she meets a guy who might just make her want to settle for good.

Generally, I did still like this book, but I have some issues with it. I really thought this was gonna be a hate-to-love, but soon found out it’s so not (completely my fault for ignoring the synopsis before reading, so won’t take that into consideration in my final rating).

My main issue is that, there were more atrempts at banter rather than a well-thought-of plot. I didn’t even enjoy the banters 70% of the time, but that’s maybe because I didn’t feel attached at all to the characters since hello? Where plot, where

Another issue was a rather, unpleasant use of the miscommunication trope as its final conflict. I have nothing against that trope, but when used as a final conflict? Count me out.

There will be discussions of eating disorder in the book, so mind that. I think it’s a good portrayal generally, though it added nothing whatsoever to the plot.

This has become mostly a rant review now so I’ll end it here saying I’m giving this one a 2 star rating. Some scenes were hot and great, but overall, not my thing.

I was provided with an e-arc through Netgalley in exchange for my review. Rest assured that all thoughts are my own and not influenced by this.

Absolutely loved this book!
This was a great coming of age book about a girl who is ready to not be a party girl anymore. The story line was fun and the banter between characters had me LoLing late into the night!
