Four years ago, Mr. Larkin, a popular young teacher at Saint Ambrose Academy was found dead in the woods. Three eighth grade students found him, all sticking to their stories that seem a little too air tight. Now, Brynn Gallagher, who moved away from shortly after the murder, returns to Saint Ambrose for her senior year of high school. After a scandal at her last school, she is determined to make a name for herself. She has secured an internship at a popular true crime podcast, and she wants them to focus on Mr. Larkin's murder. Complicating is Tripp, Brynn's former best friend and one of the witnesses from the woods. As secrets come to light, Brynn begins to question her whole investigation.

Once again, McManus weaves a taught and engaging thriller. Told in alternate points of view between Brynn and Tripp, I was rooting for them throughout the book. A lot of the twists I did not see coming, and really made this book hard to put down. This book also had a lot less mature content than some of her other thrillers, which made it easier for me to read. I think this will be another big hit from McManus and thriller fans alike.

After a couple of so-so offerings, I feel like Karen M McManus is back to the heights of One of Us is Lying with this latest book. Tense, twisty, and unnerving, I couldn't put this down. I'll be recommending it to my mystery and thriller fans.

I'm a sucker for Karen McManus books, especially ones that drop gratuitous easter eggs to previous books. This one is the first to hit a little different for me. At times it felt rushed, even to the point of seeming unplanned. There were twists that I didn't see coming, but it was more as though they weren't foreshadowed rather than just missing a clue. I didn't find myself empathizing with the characters, possibly due to having fewer PoVs than usual. I'm still a fan of her writing, just maybe not of this book.

i loved this story. i’ve read other books by Karen Mcmanus and this one did not disappoint. It’s exactly what you expect from her - likable characters, a surprising twist and a story that keeps you on your toes. One of my favorite mystery reads!!

In true Karen M. McManus fashion, this story has everything I enjoy about her work. A mystery, lots of twists and turns, and a swoon-worthy love story. I with every layer peeled back, I changed my mind about who the killer was. Constantly changing my mind about the other mysteries that arose as well. I did not see that ending coming. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good YA mystery.

If Karen McManus writes a book, I will read it. I have never been disappointed by one of her books. This book was absolute perfection. It mixed journalism, true crime, romance, and a mystery all in one. As a journalism major, I absolutely loved that Brynn was a reporter for aa true crime show. Brynn is definitely one of my top Karen characters and I loved following her story. She was strong, determined, funny, and likable - I never got tired of her POV chapters! I also was absolutely LIVING for all of Karen’s references to her previous books (one of them may or may not have made me literally yell out loud).

The mystery in this book was my favorite out of all of Karen’s books. I was guessing up until the end and I found myself constantly annotating different lines with predictions that I had. Until the end of the book, I truly didn’t have a clue who the killer was!! No one does plot twists like Karen McManus. Although the book was a bit slow in the beginning, I appreciated it because she really took her time in introducing the reader to complex and interesting characters.

If you know me, you know that Nate Macauley is my favorite character and that I absolutely adore Natewyn from One Of Us is Lying. Tripp was such an amazing and emotionally compelling character. He reminded me of Nate, but still had a different backstory and personality. His character was likable and very easy to feel bad for, since he truly was a good guy.

If there’s another thing that Karen does extremely well, it is the murder mystery plot with a romance subplot. Brynn and Tripp were everything to me!! I was rooting for them the whole time and their ending really melted my heart. They were so perfect for each other and they really had great heart-to-heart moments that pulled at my heart strings.

This is definitely a MUST READ when it is released in August! It has a strong plot, interesting characters, romance, and dual POV. Karen McManus has done it again!!!

Nothing More to Tell caught my attention from the very beginning. I was curious about Brynn and Tripp. I was also curious about what happened to Mr. Larkin. I was curious about Shane and Charlotte. Basically, I was curious about EVERYTHING. And I was worried about what Brynn was getting herself into with this podcast and her teacher's murder. All these feelings right from the start had me hooked. I didn't want to put the book down. That feeling continued throughout the entire book. McManus kept me guessing and even when I thought I knew the murderer I wasn't completely sure I knew the murderer. It was a fun mystery to be wrapped up in. The only little complaint I have is the very ending. I needed a little more there. In the scheme of things, that isn't a huge deal because the twists and turns were excellent. Fans of McManus' books are going to enjoy this one.

I received a free arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Karen McManus does it again with another murder story set at an elite high school. The characters are similar to those in previous books she has written, but they don’t feel formulaic or like caricatures.

The true crime documentary angle made this plot feel fresh and unexpected, and the alternating viewpoints and timelines moved the plot forward quickly. I was hooked until the very end, and really hope there’s a sequel in the future because I still have unanswered questions. I can’t wait to see what Karen McManus comes up with next!

This was a really good book. It centers on Brynn, who is returning to her hometown halfway through her senior year of high school; and Tripp, Brynn’s former best friend. Both are still reeling from the murder of a well-liked teacher when they were in 8th grade. The chapters alternate between the POVs of these 2 characters. Brynn gets an internship to work on a true crime documentary and wants to explore what really happened, and Tripp is hiding a secret related to the murder.

The story is fast paced and the author gives the reader a number of different threads to pull to figure out what might have really happened. Even minor story lines all tied back together and there was no part of the plot that wasn’t resolved by the end. I found myself pretty sure I had it all worked out a couple of different times.

The only thing I found a little odd about the book was how mature these teenagers seemed, even down to Brynn’s 14 year old sister. Grown-up decisions were made and there was essentially no teenage drama within the families or friend groups. If I didn’t know that the characters were teenagers I would have pegged them as older. This didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book but was just something that was in the back of my mind as I read.

Overall, I enjoyed this book (as I have enjoyed others by this author) and would definitely recommend it for those who like mysteries. Even if the YA genre isn’t your thing, I think you’d enjoy the read. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received this novel as an advanced reader copy from NetGalley and exchange for an honest review. I have enjoyed all of the teen mysteries by Karen Mcmanus and have found that students do too. This latest is no exception, it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time and I truly think that the intended audience of teenagers will love it!

Y’all know I am a forever Karen M. McManus stan so I will always enjoy her books no matter what. But unfortunately, NOTHING MORE TO TELL wasn’t one I was absolutely in love with.

I really enjoyed the premise that hooked us and had us become invested almost immediately - but then what? We get fun characters who are sometimes selfish and trying to do their best by their own moral compass. We have amateur sleuths (which is my new fave YA trope) trying to figure out while at the same protecting the people they believed needed protecting.

Tripp and Brynn were very interesting characters! Having this book be a dual POV was great because we got to see into both of their heads and just see for ourselves what their thought process was.

The ending in this one was a letdown. It was just really rushed? And it felt like we just weren’t given the resolution that we were looking for. It was one of those situations where it just seemed that every person of interest had a convenient explanation for their involvement which was then written off.

Anyways! Definitely not a fave of mine but still enjoyable for what it was!

Thank you so much to Delacorte Press for the opportunity to read this e-ARC!

Brynn cannot forget the death of her favorite teacher that happened while she was in middle school. After her family moves away shortly after, Brynn still continues to think about what happened to him. When she returns to her hometown during the middle of her senior year, Brynn wants to investigate his death. What follows is a twisted who dunnit and why. This book kept me turning the pages to find out who was responsible for his death and if Brynn would survive finding out the truth.

Karen M. McManus is an auto buy author of mine, and this is probably her best work yet.
With One of Us Is Lying, i felt like it was lacking true mystery vibes but this book really solidified that.
This reminded me why I love YA mystery so much. It was mind twisting, heart breaking and deep.
I enjoyed the true crime podcast aspect - it made it feel real and modern but not in a cringe way.
The characters were all fleshed out very well, which stood out to me because I rely on good characters for a book.
I think this will be even more popular than One of Us is Lying

Nothing More to Tell was such a good book. The story alternates between two characters. The book had a good storyline, interesting characters, and a good setting. The book was a fast read because I wanted to know what happened! I had a hard time putting it down. However, I would have liked a better ending, more wrapped up.

Overall, a very good read and solid writing. I would recommend this book and the author. I would read more from this author as well.

This book had me right up until the end — I’m not totally on board with the conclusion, but it was such a thrilling ride to get there! Finished this in two sittings.

Wow!
This is truly one of these books that I had no clue who "Did It" until the very, very end!
OH- There were lots of times when I was absolutely positive I knew who killed the favorite teacher at this private school.
I was always wrong!
The novel is an intense YA mystery that is filled with suspense.
It kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through the book!
If you like mystery, suspense and a student who is looking for truth, then you will love Nothing More to Tell!

How lucky I am to find this as a read now! I FLEW to that download button. So thanks to Netgalley and Delecorte Press for really coming through for that :)

I loved this one. I thought the characters were all very well written, none of them felt unnecessary (except for maybe one towards the end) and I thought the twists were really great. I read McManus' previous release You'll Be the Death of Me and tbh was not a fan. BUT THIS, this is why I love her. All these teenagers, teachers, parents and cops that seem a little sketchy - my love language. Brynn was a great MC, Tripp was equally as great, and I really enjoyed them rekindling their friendship after some time apart. Tell me why I was not only on the edge of my seat for the mystery, but also the romance? FOR TEENAGERS. Karen gets me I tell ya.

MY COMPLAINT: The ending seemed to go off the rails a little bit with some dude wearing a you know what showing up at you know where and taking off with you know who. I just didn't see why this was necessary.

Mark your calendars for 08/30/22 because you will want this YA thrill to put you in the FALL MOOD.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!

Guys...I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If you haven't read a Karen McManus book yet, what on earth are you waiting for!? She's hands down my favorite YA thriller writer. Every single one of her books provides something different, yet they're all consistent in that they're absolutely fantastic and you feel yourself feeling everything the main characters are.

This one provided a little bit of everything I love - Dual timelines, multiple POVs, and a little bit of YA romance. How is it that every time McManus writes a stand-alone I'm begging for a sequel? She just leaves me wanting more, each and every time. I loved the character development in this one, and the unique podcast plot. I always appreciate and love seeing LGBTQ+ characters in my books, too. 💕

My favorite part of this book is all of the Easter-Egg references to her other books. I spotted at least 3 but there's probably more! If you haven't read her other books no worries, I don't see it spoiling anything for you. However, I'd recommend it because they're all different yet great.

Thanks for another 5⭐️ read Karen!

Ah she strikes again!!! I’ve been a KMM fan since her “One of Us is Lying” days and “Nothing More to Tell” definitely gave me OOUIL vibes. It had the classic KMM dual POV, mystery, romance and all in such engaging ways. I ended up finishing this in a single read and I have zero regrets about it.

Without giving too much away I loved the blend of high school detective meets true crime podcast that McManus has in NMTT. The characters are well developed and the plot was very fast paced (a bit too much towards the end). I did find that I would have liked the ending to be slowed down a bit as (no spoilers) all the twists came one after another. That being said, I have to say I didn’t quite figure out truth and appreciated the way it played out in full McManus Mayhem.

Definitely another hit for KMM and I’m so glad I got to experience her magic once more! Definitely a great read for any mystery fans as the twists kept coming!

Thank you to Netgalley, Karen M McManus and Random House publishing for the advanced read of “Nothing More to Tell” in exchange for an honest review.

I swear Karen just keeps getting better and better!
Nothing More to Tell was a prominent story.
With very personable and an outstanding group of characters I just couldn't get enough of.
This pulsating read kept me on my toes and my eyes glued to my Kindle.
I found NMTT very addictive, I didn't want it to end. And to me that is worth every star rating possible.
I think her books are so unique and riveting.
This was just a phenomenal book. Karen is an absolute favorite of mine.
She could write a shopping list and I'd still buy and read it!
