A great summer read, I can see devouring it at on the beach! The setting sweeps you away is truly the star of the show. A great diverse set of characters that you can relate to in one way or another. I loved the family drama and the love story too!

This book had a great setting and a lot of family drama. I liked it okay. Had nine different point of view so a little hard to keep everyone straight.

6 weeks stranded on an island off the coast of New Zealand sounds pretty amazing but imagine you are with family that you love but maybe that’s a long time. Plus being in close quarters brings some issues to light. I enjoyed this one but thought it was a bit longer than it needed to be to get the point across. I did enjoy the lessons about self love and learning balance in life.

I picked up Island Times a few times and kept trying to get into the story, but it just couldn't hold my attention. Wasn't the book for me.

I had a hard time deciding if I liked this book or not. Pros: The setting, family drama (my favourite), short chapters. The biggest con was NINE different points of view. I like romance books with well written side characters, but nine different points of view was too much. I finished it, but I can't say I loved it.

I had forgotten the synopsis when I started this book because I was SHOCKED by that twist at the beginning!

While I think the loss in the event could have had more of an effect on the story, I have to say that Georgia Clark always brings such charm & humanity to their characters with their relationships with themselves & others.
We deal with a group of friends, families & strangers coping with the aftermath of a massive tsunami and having to survive; mentally, physically & emotionally until they are rescued on what was meant to be a private island vacation. If that isn't an interesting way to discover yourself and re-spark moments within you, I don't know what is.

I requested this one after absolutely loving It Had to Be You by Georgia Clark. While this was enjoyable, I didn’t quite fall in love with the characters or plot like I did in her earlier book. Appreciate the LGBTQ+ love rep, but it all went a but long & I was overwhelmed by the many story lines. Overall, I think Clark is a talented writer even if this story didn’t resonate for me. Would love to read more from her in the future.

I thought this was going to be a rom com (because I judged the book by its cover of course!). It was more than that in a good way! This story had a little bit of everything in it. But it’s mainly a frankly drama story and a good one. Thank you for the arc!

This book had a lot going on. There were multiple characters with story lines and early on I knew it would be a lot to take in. I may give this book another try at another time, but right now just wasn't that time for me.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I'll be honest, I saw this cover, and immediately requested, because anything fun and bright is for me.

There was ALOT going on in this one, and at some points it made it hard to keep track of what traits and problems belonged to which characters, and my ADHD brain got really overwhelmed.

I felt like the description of queer love in this one just wasn't it.

This was my first Georgia Clark book! Definitely put me in vacation mode. I loved it! I would love to read more books by this author.

I loved It had to be You by this author s I was exited to read this one. Unfortunately, this book wasn’t for me. I didn’t enjoy any of the characters and the multiple POV’s was confusing at times. I had a hard time staying interested in the plot and it was way too long.

This one was definitely way different than my typical book picks. The cover was stunning, and I won’t lie.. I picked it up because of that. But the inside… it just lacked. The constant switching of POV kept my head on a swivel, the characters and their personalities were just… meh. And the drama was so plentiful that it took away from the rest of the story. The writing was great and flowed smoothly, but the plot just fell flat for me. I’d definitely recommend if your sense of humor is dry and you love drama (not so much romance). Thanks for the ARC!

The juice was not worth the squeeze on this one. Felt unrealistic, and the characters were hardly worth paying attention to.

This just didn’t work for me. I didn’t like the story or the characters. I found most of the main ones to be extremely unlikeable and annoying.

I loved It Had To Be You by the same author, and so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately it fell a bit flat for me. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad by any means but it wasn't great either. I felt it was a bit long at 400 pages {which says something about me as I prefer books around 300ish pages} and I felt like there's was lots happening with so many characters, it was hard for me to keep up. I assumed, based on the cover, it was more of a lighthearted book but don't be fooled as it does go into some heavier topics.

I do look forward to what she writes next though.

This book was fantastic - so fun. The setting was absolutely beautiful (the cover is what drew me in!) Funny moments and heartfelt moments as well. It was a great summer beach read!

I loved the first Georgia Clark book I read and I was in an author chat when she talked about this book Island TIme and it sounds amazing. Maybe it was because it was written during covid but I just found it so unrealistic. I also really did love most of the characters? I found them pretty unlikeable and frustrating throughout the story. The major plot point is them gettin stranded for months on end on this island and while it mimics us getting stranded in our homes I just don’t think there is any way this would have happened and it really affected all the realtsinhips with the people on the island.

Honestly this is a skip for me. There is some great diversity in relationship structures but beyond that there are better books out there. Try her book ______________. That is structured similarly with lots of different characters and relationships to follow.

Thank you Netgalley and Atria books for the ecopy of this. However, I ended up DNF-ing. There were too many characters and story lines to keep my interest.

I don't know that I'd consider this book a romance—it falls more on the side of contemporary fiction with romantic elements sprinkled in. I didn’t enjoy the execution as much as I hoped to, though I did find the book enjoyable overall.

Many thanks to the publisher, the author, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
