4.5 stars

Am I Allergic To Men? is the last book of the series The Callaghan Sisters. It narrates the story of Lucy Callaghan, who loses her memory of the last ten years after meeting with an accident, leaving her with her memories till she was 17. Lucy, along with her sisters, tries to regain her memories by revisiting old places and acquaints.

Lucy is a wild, spontaneous and energetic woman who is working as a dancer and actress. She loves exploring every single possibilities of life. I was really envies of her. I wish I was like her.

The writing style was excellent. It was absolutely hilarious. I can't recall the last time I laughed so hard. Her relationship with her sisters was just so endearing. I loved Lucy. I loved the book. The only thing is that the title was misleading. The title had nothing to do with story. I started the story thinking it was a romcom, only to know that there was no romance aspect in it. Aside from that, it was really great.

This is my first book of this series, and I would absolutely read the rest of the series, The epilogue's idea was brilliant. It was a nice way to close up the series.

The narrator was amazing. The British accent was just *chef's kiss*.
I would absolutely recommend this series and re-read the book sometime later.

OUT 3RD FEBRUARY

As a reader who is the exact same age as Lucy, losing my memory and mentally going back to 2009 would be SO BAD. I found Lucy to be so relatable to how she lived her life, the experiences she has had and how terrifying it would be to have to learn all the new technology all of a sudden.

This book is full of humor, re-self discovery, strong family relationships and a mystery that Lucy and her sisters can't quite figure out. Lucy put out such good vibes as a person and I want her to be my best friend.

It might be part of a series but this one can be enjoyed on its own! As this is the 5th book in the Callaghan Sisters Series, I'm definitely interested in going back and reading about the rest of the sisters.

Overall audio performance and writing could be improved but didn't take away from the fun of the story!

Mixed feelings

This was a very different read for me. The blurb and title were intriguing. So went in with lot of expectations.
But, I felt this did not meet the expectations.

I had not read the previous books in this series - if I had read them, maybe my views would have been different.

In the Audio version, narration was good.

This was a great audiobook. I liked the characters and they were really bought to life in my mind. Definitely one I’d recommend.

I read most of this via ebook, but when the audiobook came through I halted and enjoyed doing some household chores and the ability to continue reading the book I was consuming via text. I enjoyed this narrator. She had the right balance of giving characters voices but not overplaying it.

A freak accident - Lucy on a bicycle collided with a bus and while in the hospital her and her sisters come to find out that she has lost all her memory from the last 10 years and they must help her regain it all back.

The fifth book in a series where each book focused on a different sister in this family. At the time of reading this book, I had only read the book right before, book four and while I may have missed out on some back history with some of the sisters, it didn't make me feel lost at all while reading this one.

Before her accident, Lucy was a happily struggling artist trying to pay her bills and enjoying a life with little responsibilities. After her accident, she is grappling with where her life went and where she now wants her life to go. I loved how Lucy went back through her past and connected the dots and while she wanted to keep some of the things, she was able to reevaluate and send her life down a different path.

After finishing this book, I am motivated to read the first three in this series and continue to read Kristen Bailey as she hopefully writes more books with women at the center. Women who are trying to find their true north whether that be on their own or with a partner by their side.

Am I Allergic to Men? is not what I was expecting. I thought it would be a cute rom-com. Yes it is a comedy but there is no romance.
Lucy wakes up in the hospital after being in a coma and has no memory of the last more than ten years. She thinks she is 17 again.
There are funny moments. A lot of them. There is also a lot of talk of sex and body parts.
I loved the dynamic between the sisters. I listened to the audio version. The narrator brought the characters to life.
I loved the premise of the book but I guess I was just expecting something different. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book just not in the way I had predicted. The mystery of Oscar added to the story greatly.

Many thanks to netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the arc

Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook arc.
Am I allergic to men? is great and chock full of british humour. Following the story of Lucy trying to figure out the last ten years of her life after waking up from a coma.
I enjoyed the overall premise of the book but for me the writing style was a bit hit and miss, however the narrator of the audiobook did a great job of bringing these characters to life. Overall I enjoyed the story and recommend.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for sending an advance copy for an honest review.

I loved the narrators voice and I’m super picky about which audiobooks I will listen to.

I love the title of the story, but it doesn’t really fit the story at all. I was expecting a cute rom-com but the book is more aimed at being humorous and focuses on the sister relationships.

I wouldn’t recommend this book, especially if you’re looking for romance. Love the narrator though.

Whilst I enjoyed the premise of the book, it was not my cup of tea. The style of writing was not one I enjoyed.
The mystery element of wondering who Oscar is was fun and I liked the bond between the sisters but I will probably not pick up any of the other books.

If I could give this book more stars, I would. I listened to this book as an audiobook ARC through Netgalley, and I didn't realize it was a series. Now that I know that it is, I'm going to have to go back and read the first four in the series, because I freaking love Lucy and all her sisters.

I could tell I was going to love Lucy from the jump. I got her personality and I was into it from the very first paragraph. She is sassy, hilarious, honest, and so completely unapologetically herself.

The memory loss thing can be cliché, but I'm okay with it so long as the author does it well (I enjoyed the book What Alice Forgot). Here, the author has DONE IT WELL. I love getting to know Lucy as she rediscovers herself. I feel like I know her, love her, and want to help her through this process of deciding who was, is, and who she wants to become.

I read a review from someone else that said, "this is not a romance," and I don't agree. It isn't the traditional romance that revolves around a couple, but I don't think romance has to be that. Because what is romance if it isn't love? There is plenty of that here in this book. Sisterly love, love from her parents, and so so many friends. Like Lucy, this love story refuses be conventional, and I'm all about it.

I absolutely loved this book. It's definitely one of my favorites.

Not bad book, I was interested how will Lucy find her memory back after the accident. She does not remember anything and she is really confusing personage. I did not know this was a series of sisters. But ok I learnt anything reading this. I am not so intetested how that really happend. Fast easy read and a nice conclusion.

Thanks to Netgalley.com and Bookouture for tho alc.

Based on the book cover and synopsis, I went into this expecting a cute, stand alone rom com. Unfortunately this was none of the above. I tried to get into it but I found it silly, immature and I wasn’t interested enough to continue after 30%. I listened to the audio version and I was irritated by the narrator’s voice because I didn’t think it matched the main character’s behavior. Oh yeah, and this is the fifth book in a series which I didn’t find out until I looked at some other reviews to see if it got better. I’m sure some will absolutely love it but it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to NetGallery and the publisher for providing me the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. I had a hard time with this book. Maybe this is my fault because their are previous books in the series. Should I have read these first? As a stand alone book I found myself cringing so much the main character Lucy is a lot. I enjoyed the family dynamic between the sisters which is why I feel I would have been more invested in them had I read the first 4 stories before starting on book 5. The humor is crude humor with a lot of talk about sex if your into that. Solid 2 stars for me.
