Usually I pass on previews but this is from one of my favorite authors, so I had to read it. And now I need the rest of this book. It was so good from the start. The attraction and chemistry from the couple was hot! I want to know more about them. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the preview.

What a book!!!!! I mean, only 5 chapters of it but still! I loved so much. I need more!!!
The characters, the interaction between them... just perfect. I'm completely in love with Simon, he's adorable and so handsome (I know that).
All I want now is to have the whole book. So of course I am looking forward to read the rest.

Amazing!! I loved these first five chapters and got so sucked in to the story! I can't wait to read the rest! Sarah Smith has such a way of writing so effortlessly and telling a great story along the way. I'm really stoked to see where Naomi and Simon's relationship leads!

Wow! This preview of The Close-Up by Sarah Smith was excellent and I can not wait to read the rest! I was pulled in on the very first page! It is an easy 5/5 for me!

I could feel the chemistry between Naomi and Simon in these first five chapters. I can already tell this will be a great read just by the character's personalities and I'm very excited to see where the story takes them.

It's an interesting start to the story...
Not sure if I understand why there was that particular kind of footage of him going around college... are we consensually doing that now?
I like the talk about mental health and the tips about women in the relationship sometimes doing more than their share. It just felt a bit rushed with how one minute she's interviewing him an the next, she's holidaying with him.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to read the first 5 chapters of this book and I'm honestly not sure how I'll be able to wait until the rest is published! Sarah Smith does an incredible job opening up the book with a scene that seems like it could come out of the movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". I was so invested in where the book was going from the start, and the characters are so personable that it was hard not to get attached. Naomi comes across as the perfect balance of awkward and endearing; not to mention Simon is absolutely swoon worthy, like who wouldn't fall in love with a hot relationship therapist who still gets embarrassed by compliments. The plot line is original, which is quite impressive with how much the contemporary romance genre has grown, and I honestly can't predict where the story will go. Overall, the author has done a really good job of balancing and pacing the chemistry between Simon and Naomi and I can't wait to see where it chemistry goes!

I absolutely loved this preview! It was witty and exactly my style. Super unique premise, though I was worried it’d fall into the hidden journalist trope at the end it did not. Great character development only five chapters in as well. Can’t wait for the full book to come out in April!

Thank you for allowing me to read a 5 chapter preview of The Close-Up! I really enjoyed this preview and the main characters. I also thought that the plot was original and super fun and I can't wait to see what happens between Naomi and Simon. It had great themes, such as mental health and the importance of therapy, and I appreciated that a lot. I do agree with some other reviewers saying that it was a bit like insta-love, but it was still super fun, and I recommend for people to try the preview.

Is it possible to fall in love with a book after reading only 5 chapters?
Not gonna lie I was hooked from the first line. I couldn't stop myself from swiping page after page. It was show stopping! The story line is smooth and well written. It had correct pacing too. Naomi's personality really connected to me and I couldn’t help but like her quirkiness and clumsiness. Then there is Simon, the perfect husband material and you know what his occupation is? He is a relationship counselor like a very hot therapist. I loved the relationship between both of them and I can't wait to see how the end turns out.

An emotionally aware love interest who is a relationship therapist?! Say less!

The Close-Up preview by Sarah Smith was fun, romantic, and hilarious. After getting cheated on by her long term boyfriend, film journalist Naomi Ellorza-Hays goes out for a night of fun that changes everything. Enter Simon Rutler, a relationship therapist with a spicy past. What seems like an instant connection late night at a bar, turns into Naomi's most intriguing work assignment to date. Will Naomi be able to keep their relationship strictly professional?

I can't wait to finish this book when it is released in April. This romance book had me laughing out loud at the Christina Lauren-esque writing and the chemistry between the main characters was definitely present. The mental health themes and emphasis on the importance of therapy was incredibly refreshing.

The book did feel a little like insta-love which is not my favorite trope. I also felt like the plot was rushed; weeks were simply skipped over to move the plot along which makes it hard to feel connected to the characters. I also felt that the author could have leaned into the humor more with this story.

Overall, I enjoyed this preview of the first 5 chapters of The Close-Up and look forward to reading the rest.

I am so glad I got the chance to read the first five chapters of The Close-Up! I was instantly hooked from the first line and I cannot wait for it to be released so I can continue reading it!

I fell in love with the Naomi and Simon as individual characters, but also how they interacted together, the jokiness and the casual flirting was so fun! I also really enjoyed the dynamic between Naomi and Harper and I laughed out loud at some of the things that Harper said and did! Overall loved all of the characters and their personalities.

I also really liked how the fact that Simon used to be a camguy was portrayed in a positive light! He was not ashamed of it and was open to talk about it instead of shying away from it, which I feel like I do not read a lot. This is such a light and fun read so far and I am looking forward to when it is published!

*Thank you #NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read 5 chapters of The Close-Up. This is my review of my own opinion*

Let me first just say the very first line made me fall in love with this book, even if it is the first 5 chapters. It leaves me wanting more, that I can't wait until the book is published so I can devour it in one day.

Naomi is such a lovely person, and I love her personality. Then there is Simon, who is sexy and talented, in more ways than one. They have so much chemistry, and I want to know the rest of their story.

I LOVED these first 5 chapters, they flowed nicely together, and it is a 5 out of 5 for me. Absolutely loved it.

Sarah Smith has a way at words that makes me want to go find some more books she has written.
