I enjoyed A Spy in Casablanca - it was an easy read with a nice dash of mystery and intrigue [it is spies after all], along with a good amount of history as well. The characters [especially the main character, Riley] felt pretty flat and one-dimensional; this lacked some serious character development that had a lot of opportunity, given the setting and the little bit of backstory we do get. I did enjoy the twisty ending and really came to like some of the supporting characters like Amanda and Moshe [!]. 2.5 stars for a nice try but far from what I would call excellent historical fiction or spy fiction. Thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A good follow-up to the first book in the series. The action is not as intense, but a good spy/mystery plot makes this a good read. I enjoy the main characters and cannot wait for the next book!
