This was a fav of mine from Rochon. I have liked/loved her series she's created with these books, this being her third, but this one was definitely my favorite. I mean, it might just be me being biased toward second chance romances, but I also love London. She's a badass doctor and she's hilarious. I think the romance in this was super steamy and I was obsessed with the universe (sans her dad, we don't stan.) I'm def sad that it seems like this trio of friends all got their HEA's but I loved reading through all of them, this one being a great way to wrap it all up.

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.
The Hookup Plan is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series by Farrah Rochon. These are connected books that can be read as standalones, but I recommend reading the other two first because I just love this series!
- In The Boyfriend Project, we got Samiah’s story!
- In The Dating Playbook, we got Taylor’s story.
- Finally, in The Hookup Plan, we get London’s story, which I have been waiting for!
I really enjoyed the first two books, but London’s story was definitely my favorite. I loved the high school rivals hookup at their 15-year reunion, and then find out they have to work together storyline!
I liked how London’s character developed and grew in different ways throughout the story while still holding true to who she was. She is a strong female character, a badass pediatric surgeon, and knows what she wants in life, at least she thinks she does. Drew was such an endearing character, and I absolutely loved the way he genuinely cared about London.
If I had one complaint about this book, it’s that it could have use a little more steam! While there are some mild sex scenes, with a title like The Hookup Plan, I wanted more spice!
My favorite part of all of these books was the friendship between London, Samiah, and Taylor though. I was happy to see all of the ladies back in book three and loved the chapters with them. The banter between them was on point, and some of their scenes had me laughing out loud.
I’ve really enjoyed this series, and I look forward to reading whatever Rochon comes up with next!

I love Drew and London, I love this series and I’m so sad to see it end! I especially loved the healthcare aspect of what London goes through as a female surgeon, especially a black female surgeon. “Enemies” to lovers is a favorite troupe that never gets old

Okay hear me out, sometimes I find rivals-to-lovers stories frustrating because the characters are not fully developed and I don’t get WHY they aren’t together. Sure, fun banter or whatever, but it can get old and annoying.
THE HOOKUP PLAN is NOT like this, it really dove into some great issues, and had wonderful character development. By the end, I felt like I really understood London (and Drew). I found the health and family issues fresh and interesting.
I loved the friendship dynamics. I missed that this was the third in the series, and I assume the others are about these friends, but I was able to grasp what was going on despite not having read the others (which I want to asap!).
How London was handling the business and stress of her job as a paediatric surgeon, and the workplace dynamics, was really intriguing to read about.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever for the eARC!

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is the third book of The Boyfriend Project. Pediatric surgeon London Kelley needs to de-stress. Her friends Samiah and Taylor suggest she find someone to casually hook up with. London takes their advice, but she unbelievably chooses her high school archenemy Drew Sullivan after running into him at the high school reunion. London is floored to see him at the hospital the next day, holding the fate of the place in his hands. London can’t believe he didn’t tell her about his involvement. She can’t deny she still wants him, but she vows she’ll never love him.
I was hooked from the first page. London and Drew have such great chemistry that explodes off the page as they trade barbs. I loved watching them fall in love.

Thank you Hachette audio for my gifted copy! I love this series and it is bittersweet to see it come to and end. I always liked London’s character and I’m so happy to finally read her story. She is a strong, extremely hard working pediatric surgeon. London runs into her high school rival, Drew at their college reunion and they strike up a hookup bargain, although it quickly becomes more than that. I loved Drew and their relationship. I especially loved how Drew pushed London to take some time for some self care.
One of my favorite parts of this series has always been the friendships between Samiah, Taylor and London. I loved all the moments they shared and what great friends they really are. I may have teared up a little bit at the end. What a great series!

I’ve enjoyed this series, and was so excited to read London and Drew’s story! THE HOOKUP PLAN features an enemies-to-lovers romance with plenty of steam.
It was so fun to see high school rivals reunite as they reconnect at a high school reunion and decide to hookup at the end of the night. That angsty chemistry was off the charts, and I loved their competitive banter.
Not only was this a fun, sexy romp of a romance, but I loved that it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows as each character had plenty of challenges that they are trying to overcome. Drew with the emotions following the death of his Mom, and London as she tries to finish her residency while dealing with the complicated relationship with her Father.
It was so refreshing to see a strong female friendship featured with the women that London is surrounded by, as they cheer each other on and really love and support one another.
I listened to the audiobook ALC and really enjoyed it!
*many thanks to Forever/Hachette Audio and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

As a HUGE fan of the Boyfriend Project series, reading this book was a bittersweet experience for me. I am so sad it is the end of the series cause I've loved getting to know these amazing women in the city I call home but excited to get to learn more about London. And of course it was just as good as I hoped it would be.
What I loved:
- Austin, as an Austinites I am always love reading books set in my city and I love how it is portrayed in this book. I can tell that a good amount of research was done about the city and the true love and respect is evident.
- Enemies to lovers, if you don't love this trope then WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? The relationship between Drew and London is even more enjoyable cause only one sees the other as their enemy.
- Drew, for so many reasons this man is for sure one of my new book boyfriends. So many swoon worthy moments from him that just......I wish he was real
- Hill Country, Drew and London spend some time out in the Hill Country west of town and it just reminded me why I love going out there and how I need to plan a trip soon
This was a great final book of this series, London has been the backbone of this crew through the other two books and I just loved getting to learn what makes her tick. There are so many good nuggets in the books from the enemies to lovers, to family drama and just personal growth as a person and doctor for London. I would say if you have any interest in a great romance novel set in an amazing city with a near perfect book boyfriend please run to walk to get your hands on this book!

Fantastic book!! I started this book early on NetGalley but ran out of time to finish it (work for crazy busy). As soon as it was available, I bought it because I couldn't wait to finish it.

This is definitely my favorite book in Farrah Rochon's The Boyfriend Project trilogy. London and Drew are such compelling characters; Rochon outdid herself here. London is career-driven, a pediatric surgery resident who always puts her patients first. Drew is her high school nemesis, her co-valedictorian who reenters her life as a consultant hired to evaluate whether London's hospital should be sold.
The sparks between these two are hot, hot, hot. Watching them navigate their growing attraction while also trying to find a way to work together effectively was truly a joy. Drew was definitely my favorite character; he cares so deeply about London and works so hard to win her over, and it absolutely melted my heart.
I appreciate that the book also features London's close female friendships as central to her life, and also shows her navigating complicated family dynamics. It helps to show her as a well-rounded character, which makes her development over the course of the novel so much more enjoyable to read.

In book three of the Boyfriend Project series we learn more about London. The classic overachiever who became a pediatric surgeon.
London always at the top of her class in high school until Drew Sullivan showed up and then it was war! She hates him immediately, and she was sure to let him know it. So at their reunion she wasn’t expecting to see him or being so annoyed at how good looking he turned out to be.
Drew Sullivan always had a secret crush on London, impressed by how smart she was, but her jabs at him made him work that much harder to beat her when he could, becoming co-valedictorian with her.
London needs to keep her stress and blood pressure levels down, and her friends suggest she find a friends with benefits. Could drew be that benefit without the friends?
What she wasn’t expecting was for him to show up at her hospital on the team that’s deciding to sell the hospital or to save it by making cuts.
The backstory on London’s drive was sad but made a lot of sense. Drew also had such a sad upbringing and dealing with his mothers passing.
My only negative on this one was that we didn’t really get resolution on Coleman, the doctor who was very combative and manipulative. Otherwise this was my favorite book of the series, and really enjoyed the friendships with the other women in the group!

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is the 3rd book in the series starting with The Boyfriend Project. I love this series because it follows three strong and independent women who meet after they have been duped by an online dater. It is a fantastic example of the friendships we develop later in life due to random circumstances.
This 3rd book follows renowned pediatric surgeon London Kelley who needs to destress due to the high stress demands of her job. Samiah and Taylor (from books 1 and 2) encourage London to find a casual hook-up to help.... and London finds it with her high school nemesis Drew Sullivan. Is Drew really the jerk she thought he was in high school? And is the hook-up plan a success or a failure?
Thank you to Forever for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion!

London is stressed out at work. She is in her last year of residency and the hospital is undergoing an audit to help with the financial loss it has been going through. On top of that, she has been organizing her high school reunion and has her siblings that need her help.
When she runs into her nemesis, Drew, at the high school reunion, she wants to tell him off. While she does that, she also makes a "hookup plan." Soon, she finds that Drew is on the team auditing the hospital and she has mixed feelings about it. For the first time in her life, she is not sure what to do.
Opinion
This is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series and to my dismay, the first one I've read. After reading this book, Rochon will be on my radar for a good read. I loved the way she was able to portray the characters struggles with each other while resolving them so sweetly.
While this book missed the big climax that most have, the climax it did have was just perfect. I look forward to more books in the future by this author.
Many thanks to Net Galley and Forever for providing me with an ARC of this book.

I had a feeling going into this that The Hookup Plan would be my favorite in this series and I was right. London was always my favorite of the three friends and I love academic rivals to lovers. Well, if we're being technical, it's more like former academic rivals to friends with benefits to lovers but still.
London was a wonderful character to follow, even if I did think she was being overly stubborn at times. I loved her passion for her work and I just thought she was relatable. Drew was also a wonderful guy and I wish we'd seen more of him outside of his relationship. I really would have liked to see more of him at work or something because I just enjoyed his character so much. That being said, both London and Drew were so cute together. I love to see a man become obsessed with his girlfriend.
The Hookup Plan showed me a whole new subgenre that I think I'm going to love: medical romances. I loved the surgical/medical talk in this book, which shouldn't have been a big surprise considering I loved Grey's Anatomy. I definitely have to find more medical/hospital centered romances if this book was any indication of how much I enjoy that genre.
I'm glad this series ended on such a high note considering I found the first two books to be so average. I just think a lot of things worked for me in this book that weren't in the first two. I will definitely be reading more from this author now.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is book three in The Boyfriend Project series, and while you could read it as a stand-alone I definitely recommend reading all these books in order if you can. They are so much fun - with witty banter, gorgeous men and lots of spice, and well developed female main characters that are smart, strong, and loyal to the amazing friendship that they built as the result of a very unusual situation!
While I loved all three books, London & Drew’s story in The Hookup Plan was my absolute favorite. When I tell you I couldn’t put it down, I mean it! I love the enemies-to-lovers trope and this one brought the humor and lighthearted fun of a romance balanced with really well developed characters, strong friendships, and unresolved family issues. You will want to be besties with London by the time you finish reading, and will be sad to finish reading. I loved the representation of a successful and gorgeous Black woman in STEM (London is a renowned surgical resident!) who finds love and joy in her own decisions.
Seriously, grab this book (or the audiobook - I listened to it as well and Marissa Hampton is an incredible narrator! - and throw it in your beach bag for this weekend, you won’t regret it! Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for your generous gifts of the finished copy, the ARC, and the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a satisfying end to this series. I was the most excited for London's book and it didn't disappoint. Rochon has a way to writing in complex subplots while her main characters are trying to figure things. This rivals to lovers from high school started off rocky 🤭 but I appreciated their relationship progression. Oh and thank god there was no third act breakup it would have ruined it for me. My only critique was the book just ended and I thought it was odd that we didn't find out what happened to Dr. Coleman. Other than those two I really enjoyed this entry, so sad the series is over.

What a great enemies to lovers romance! The writing is fantastic. This is my first book by this author (the book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone), her writing is engaging and her characters are awesome. The chemistry between London and Drew is hate-love and they make it work in the sheets!

Many thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for a gifted copy of The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon. It's number 3 in The Boyfriend Project trilogy and is focused on London.
I have to admit, I'm kind of disappointed in this one. There were a couple of plot points that didn't get wrapped up as neatly as I had hoped or really at all and made me wonder why even include them in the first place. I also felt like I was being lectured about diet and exercise but that may just be because I'm sensitive to that topic.
I did enjoy watching London let her guard down a little and let someone in but overall, I just wasn't a huge fan of the series in general which makes me sad because it had such a great start. The first book is by far the best in my opinion.
In any case, I will miss these three women and I loved getting to know them.
Content warnings for asshole fathers, death of a loved one and cancer (in the past), asshole doctors, sick children

Thanks to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC of this!
I’m enjoying this series so much, and this was no exception. Loved the rivals/enemies to lovers, love the friends, and I really enjoyed the subplots going on. For fans of The Hating Game and Grey’s Anatomy.

London is a pediatric surgeon with a stressful professional life and no personal life to speak of. Urged by her best friends, she seeks some stress relief by hooking up with Drew, her former archnemesis, at her high school reunion. Things get complicated when she learns his firm has been hired by her hospital to decide how to become more financially solid. Can she trust him to do the right thing when her future is in his hands?
London and Drew are fully fleshed characters dealing with major life decisions. They're fun and well-matched with tons of chemistry. This compelling story kept me guessing until the end.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
