I loved this enemies to lovers romance! London is driven, focused, and determined to be the best she can be in her career.with her success she hasn’t worried about taking the time to date but as her friends push her to step out of work and have some fun, she doesn’t expect to hook up with her biggest rival from high school after their school reunion. London wants to out that behind her and refocus her energy on work but is surprised to learn that Drew is staying in Austin and she’ll be seeing him every day at work. I loved the sparks between London and Drew. She doesn’t put up with nonsense and he has a way to get her to let her guard down. I really loved this book and I’d definitely recommend it to any enemies to lovers trope fans.

I’ll give this a solid three star.

The story line of London and Drew was cute. The back story of her hating him in high school because he was just as smart as her and threatened to take away all she had been working for, all while he pined for her was cute. The no string hook up never stays that way and watching in unfold was nice.

However, Drew gave me the ick with red flags sometimes. He was rich and arrogant and threw money at things to get his way. It made him unlikeable in my eyes and that took away from the story and the connection for me.

I haven't read the other books so I jumped into this one without any background from the previous books. This was a fun read. I like the couple and their relationship progression. I was a bit upset at the beginning of the book when we got a closed door scene and then are told that there was some face sitting. I feel cheated, but we did get some more spicy later in the book. It's been a couple of weeks since I read it and I gotta say that I remember thinking I liked it, but it was not a very memorable book for me. There also seemed to be a lot of loose threads at the end that were never really resolved, like the problem with that other doctor. I did like that the mmc was willing to go wherever the fmc went and there was no asking her to follow him, plus there was no third act break-up, which would have made me angry.

Thank you Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for a copy of The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon. This book is the third installment in the Boyfriend Project series. Rochon strikes gold again with this story about Doctor London Kelley and her high school nemeses, Drew Sullivan.

"Successful pediatric surgeon London Kelley just needs to find some balance and de-stress. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual hookup. A night of fun with no strings. But no one—least of all London—expected it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, owner of delicious abs, and oh yes, her archnemesis.
Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a decent guy who actually cares. But London’s not falling for it. Because while sleeping with the enemy is one thing, falling for him is definitely not part of the plan."

This book is smart, sexy, charming and hits all the right swoon notes! This series and author deserves all the flowers!!!

Absolutely loved every book in this series! London's story captured my attention from the beginning. Her chemistry with Drew was off the charts, loved finally learning more about her background and family, and of course seeing more of the original trio together.
Recommended!

This entire series was a ton of fun and the finale did not disappoint! London and Drew were the perfect pairing to finish out this trilogy.

I’ve mentioned before that I like the adversaries to lovers trope, and we get that here for sure, though the adversarial relationship was mostly one-sided.

I love how no-nonsense London is. She doesn’t mince words, she knows her worth, and she’s willing to put in the work to get what she wants, though she puts her own needs last (something I can relate to). She cares so much about her family, her friends, and her patients, but she’s also not willing to let people treat her badly either.

Drew knows what he wants, is secure in who he is, and also isn’t afraid to do the hard work. He cares about his team and his family, and knows when to slow down and treat himself right. And while he still might be a little competitive about things, everything he does comes from a place of good intentions.

Together they bring out the best in each other, whether in the bedroom or the hospital boardroom. They trust and respect each other, which is a truly valuable thing.

The best part, for me, is that the “third act drama” that always happens in a romance, was not a breakup or anything that tore London and Drew apart. If anything, it brought them closer together.

If you haven’t read this series yet, go grab it now! You won’t regret it!

I will say I have yet to read any of Farrah Rochon's other books but this one was a solid read. I did feel wordy at times and felt we reread a lot of the inner monologue of the female main character but I did like the strong female characters and how prevalent that are in the story. I liked it but wouldn't reread it ever.

My first five-star romance read of the year let's gooooooo!!!!

I absolutely adored this and I think it's a great romcom option for those who are looking. It made me laugh out loud multiple times, the love story made me swoon, and while it was lighthearted, it did have a few complicated and heavy subject matters that grounded it in reality.

I have said this before and I will say it again - I LOVE TO READ LOVE STORIES REVOLVING AROUND CAPABLE WOMEN. London is so intelligent, caring and funny. I love the reputation and goodwill she has cultivated for herself at the hospital. I love how even though she's a high-functioning and successful individual, she still has her own struggles she is facing. I love how Drew was SO INTO HER. So into her confidence, her drive, her star power. I want to read about more relationships like this!

I just think that London really got the chance to shine here and never had to dim herself for Drew or anyone like we are truly celebrating women who know what they want and I am obsessed.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever for sending me a copy of this book! All opinions are my own!

I greatly did not enjoy this book, and it was most specifically because I am in the medical field. There is so much about this book that is wildly inaccurate, and it meant that I couldn't enjoy the story itself because I kept being jarred by inaccuracies of the medical field. Some examples include pediatric surgery not being a residency that exists in the United States, a resident scheduling their own surgeries and not working weekends or nights, fellowships offering spots to people who didn't even apply to their program, and the Match (the process of applying, then interviewing, then ranking residencies/fellowships) not being described correctly. There was more but those were the biggies!

The story itself was a cute idea but wasn't very well executed. The idea of a 15 year-long one-sided grudge was very annoying, and I didn't really even like London until the character development happened for her to realize how immature she had been. There was a lot of random slightly offensive other issues such as disordered eating being just casually added with no development or discussion, this random shaming of a teen sending nudes, and the casual joking about narcissism that didn't even qualify as narcissism.

All of these issues greatly took away from the chemistry of the romance and left me unable to enjoy the story.

For some reason I forgot how much I liked this authors previous books. I listened to the audiobook from my library and really just had a great time listening. It was a fun story but had serious topics and moments that were written thoughtfully. I cannot recommend this series enough.

I think London and Drew's story might be my favorite in the series. There was so much emotion, and I loved seeing London's growth in self discovery and how she learned how to accept love from Drew. It was a sweet love story of two rivals finding their happily ever after. If you enjoy books with a little spice, banter and the enemies to lovers trope then this one is for you.

DNF @ 23%

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, so I was excited to read London's book. However, it was quickly apparent this was just not the book for me. London came across to me as petty and that was a huge turn off. I normally like enemies to lovers but the "conflict" in this one was pointless and I just could not stand London or her actions.

I will be looking forward to other books this author writes, I just know this one was not for me.

I couldn’t let Black History Month pass without at least one book featuring black JOY! Yes- the heavy books (like The House of Eve & Finding Me) are important, but so are the ones that celebrate black adventures, love stories, and friendships!

The Hookup Plan is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series and super adorable! It features London, a successful pediatric surges who needs to destress. According to her friends, London really needs a casual hookup. She decides to go for it and ends up having sex with her high school arch nemeses Drew Sullivan!

This one is great for fans of enemies to lovers, strong heroines, and a millionaire heros with great hearts! I also really appreciated London’s sweet relationships with her friends! It is quite spicy, so don’t read this one unless you enjoy open door romances.

Four fun stars!

Thank you Net Galley and Forever for an eARC in return for my honest review. My review is late and this one is now available everywhere!

I am a huge enemies to lovers fan. However, I’ve never been a big fan of the academic/ valedictorian rivals versions. I’ve maybe only read those as YA books but The Hook Up Plan is the adult version with sexy times and I really enjoyed it.
I loved finally getting to London’s story. I love all three of these ladies since meeting them in the Boyfriend Project. Loved the full circle moment in the epilogue!

A really lovely novel full of complex, endearing characters, sincere friendships, and a main relationship that was worth rooting for. I'm always a fan of an enemies-to-lovers romance, and this one did not disappoint.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author. I throughly enjoyed it and now have to read the other books in the Boyfriend Project series. I loved the enemies-to-lovers plot with all the banter and chemistry.

This is my first read by this author, I read this one without having read the last two in the series. They can be read as stand-alones since they’re focused on different characters - while some of the past characters do show up.

I’m not sure if I just didn’t care for the characters or if it was because I didn’t read the last two first. I do want to eventually go back and read the previous two as I have heard so many readers rave about them. Also, I think I will enjoy those characters more.

In this one we follow London and Drew, I just didn’t really love the romance. I struggled more with London and how repetitive she got. I wish she would have gotten over the past and moved on. I will say I enjoyed Drew a bit more. I think his character was better written and didn’t have as many flaws.

I get the title is self-explanatory, but I wish these characters would’ve worked more on their chemistry instead of just sleeping with each other without growing their relationship.

Overall, if you enjoy rivals-to-lovers and this series then I would recommend reading it. Some scenes were great, but I just wish the book itself had a different impact on me. It was still a fine romance, but not what I was expecting.

London Kelley is a pediatric surgeon who pours her heart into her work, literally. In fact, besides her weekly night out with her girlfriends, the rest of her work/life balance has truly flatlined.

While at her fifteen year high school reunion, London runs into Drew Sullivan, her biggest competition as a teen. As predicted, both have gone on to live up to their “most likely to succeed” monikers, yet they can’t help but to fall back into their old, competitive ways in present day. However, this time around, London flips the script and gives into the long, simmering sexual tension with Drew, heading back to this hotel room for the night.

But what Drew knows London is about to find out- he’s not only back in town for the reunion, he’s a major player in deciding if her hospital can afford to stay open or not. Needless to say, when London finds out Drew’s connection to her workplace, her old feelings of hate rear their ugly head. Now Drew is not only on the hook to save the hospital, he has out to prove to London he’s more than just a hookup.

The Hookup Plan is the third installment in the series devoted to London and her friends in their quest to find self sufficiency and true love. While at times I felt this story rehashed some details more than was necessary, I still enjoyed the banter between London and Drew, and even London and her friends. The medical backdrop, as well as the complicated relationship London had with her father, helped add depth to London’s character. I’d like to go and read the other installments one day to see how they measure up.

The Hookup Plan was my first Farrah Rochon and I thought it was a cute read.

Admittedly, I found the FMC character's actions frustrating at time, but I still enjoyed the story.

I look forward to reading the first two books in the series.

I love this series and I’m so glad this one had just as great banter and chemistry. Simiah and Taylor where in this book as well, but they didn’t seem to have as big or frequent of scenes as the other two books. I love a romance with spice especially in one like this where you really see the relationship develop. While there was a good amount of spice, it didn’t seem to have as much as the other two from what I remember (but I could be wrong) which was a little weird for it being a FWB trope. I loved how passionate London was for her patients and the relationship she had with her coworkers. Drew and London challenged each other but had great communication. It was just the right balance of rom-com elements mixed with some more serious topics.
