I've really loved this whole series, and this book is a great end to it! Farrah Rochon always writes great, smart heroines and relatable female friendships, so I'm glad London got her HEA. The enemies-with-benefits situation really works here, and Rochon nails the pacing of the gradual slide from enemies to lovers to friends to love. I was surprised that the bleak moment wasn't really all that bleak when I was anticipating something a bit bigger, but I'm actually okay with that because do we really need bleak these days? I think not, especially when this book is so delightful.

Hands down my favorite of the Boyfriend Project series. London Kelley, MD, is confident and successful. Her high school nemesis, Drew Sullivan, a former hedge fund manager, is just as confident and successful. After a chance run in at their high school reunion, the two frenemies end up hooking up. London is only looking for a fling to relieve the stress of her job, but Drew is determined to change her mind.

I loved everything about this book. London’s ability to be matter-of-fact about her brilliance was so cool. I was crushing hard on her awesomeness (she had my heart when she ditched a post hookup cuddle session for cupcakes). Drew is a lovely human being trying to make the world a little better by taking on social justice in a tangible way. At the core of this book is an important conversation about healthcare and poverty.

I appreciate that this was a story featuring Black love and tackling social issues without directly diving into racial injustice as well. This whole book was a play on the idea of “tell me without telling me”. I might break my book buying ban when it comes out August 2nd.

TBH, this was my first Farrah Rochon book……. And I absolutely love her writing style! I loved how genuine the characters and the story felt! While I loved this novel, I was not a fan of the plot line (The immediate hooking up troupe is not my fav). I know it’s the name of the book so I guess I should have expected it but what can I say I love a slow burning romance 😍😍 I cant wait to read the previous two books in this series after reading hints throughout the story.

London is a pediatric surgeon whose stress levels just won't quit. Drew Sullivan is a partner at his own management firm that helps struggling businesses make sense of their finances. They meet again at their high school reunion, and London decides that the best way to reduce her stress is a ransom hookup with her former school nemesis (and co-valedictorian) so she can get some and move on, without having to see him again for a longer time. Little does she know that Drew's just about to start a consulting gig at her hospital!

I really enjoyed this. London has her problems, and doesn't want to admit certain things to herself, but she's a strong person, not willing to take crap from anyone. I really liked the confidence she showed (rather than just being told how confident she was, something that's more common than it should be) and that she is pretty aware of her wants and needs. I really liked Drew, and did from the moment I met him on the page. Definitely swoony.

I appreciated that the book didn't get completely smutty instantly, because now that burn too hot too fast kind of turn me off, and turn the book from "can't put it down" to "I'm just hate reading this now" pretty quickly. Call me crazy, but I appreciate the slow burn more than the hot and heavy, almost every time.

I really enjoyed this one. The writing is thoughtful and detailed in the best ways. The characters are well-rounded and likeable. The storyline is fairly believable. Well done all around.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book. Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity!

London is finishing up her pediatric surgery residency and the pressure is getting to her. Her friends decide that a hookup with no strings is exactly what she needs to destress. The opportunity arises when she runs into her childhood academic nemesis, Drew. But no strings is out the window when London realizes Drew is heading up the audit of her hospital.

London and Drew reach a tentative truce and come up with a hookup plan for the duration of his time at the hospital. But before long, they are supporting each other through major work decisions and past traumas.

This was super cute! I loved the strong female friendships. I especially enjoyed the narrative around London’s relationship with her father and seeing her take the power back from him. I also appreciate that London and Drew’s relationship had some complexity to it and things that they needed to work through and overcome beyond the typical miscommunication trope.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the advanced reading copy!

Read this e-ARC during a flight - what a fun read! Really enjoyed this read and seeing London and Drew's story develop. Frenemies (enemies?) from high school reconnecting years later at the reunion - both successful in their careers. Steamy, sweet, and well-rounded characters brought it all to life. Family dynamics, career pressures, fear, shared history, and misunderstandings. I haven't read the others in the series but didn't feel like I missed out (although I think you would like the little updates you get on the other couples).

Looooved this one! Probably my favorite in the series. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved learning about both of their professions along the way. I I also loved their history and thought it was a perfect mix of intimacy and steam. So happy with this one!

Oh man, “the hookup plan” is such a fun read - I finished in less than 24 hours! First off, while it’s the third in a series, the other books are not required to be read in order to enjoy this one, as I realized I haven’t yet read the second one myself — it is nicely self contained (though readers of the other books will enjoy the brief updates about the other characters). It’s your classic enemies-to-lovers romance - but without the drama of misunderstandings and poor assumptions getting in the way, so it’s truly enjoyable. Our story focuses on London, a pediatric surgeon — so refreshing to read about a woman who is awesome at her job and knows it, and Drew, millionaire who still works and does good things! I don’t want to spoil anything, I’ll just say — the characters are ones I would want to be friends with, the story develops really nicely, and it keeps you engaged the whole time without knowing exactly what will happen next. I look forward to reading more from Farrah Rochon!! I very much appreciate having received an ARC so that I could write my unbiased review.

This was such an easy read! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book!!
I didn’t read the two other books in the series yet but everything made sense and was explained so well. It was nice that I didn’t feel lost while reading!

I loved seeing London and Drew’s relationship progression throughout the story! The enemies to friends with benefits to lovers was done perfectly. Drew was absolutely amazing and he was sooooo sweet to London!

It was also really nice to see London and Drew navigate their family issues and work obstacles together as their relationship blossomed. I loved the lesson that life is short and you should make the most out of the time you have with a person!

I also truly enjoyed London’s friendship with Samiah and Taylor and how they were able to support each other!

This was such a good book!

Finally! We got London's story in this one. I have loved this whole series from the first novel, because three women who meet because of a douche who dates them all at the same time - and then decide to become best friends is my cup of tea.

London has always been the busiest of the three ladies, as a pediatric surgeon. She took up knitting before she took up men again, until she went to her class reunion. And met her enemy from high school, Drew, for the first time in over a decade. Drew had grown into his body, and he seemed somewhat different from London's memories. She figured because he was in town just for the reunion, why not use him for some mutual pleasure? Only, Drew hadn't told her everything, and she soon realised he was not going to leave for a while.

Frenemies with benefit then became her new mantra, only Drew wanted more than just hooking up. And it was so cute to see all the ways London tried to justify continuing to meet up with him. Even for dinner. Or a walk. Before sex;)

Rochon's writing is spot on! Her female characters are confident and stick together, and totally have each other's backs. I wish there would be more stories in this series - I would love to see more of London, Samia and Taylor.

Enemies to lovers! And done sooo well. I absolutely loved London and Drew- they were such well developed characters and were so easy to root for. I haven’t read the others in the series but am adding them to my list now. This book was so enjoyable-a quick read with all the warm fuzzies.

I am a fan of this author and have enjoyed the previous two books in this series. I was already connected to the trio of Samiah, Taylor, and London, and I was looking forward to London’s love story.

Farrah Rochon delivers another solid novel to complete this series. I love her dual POV writing style and especially the dialogue between characters. Both main characters, London and Drew, are likeable. The story brings back together these two former rival classmates at their high school reunion, and it is definitely anything but a love story at that point… at least in London’s mind. Bring in the back stories and plot twists of London’s and Drew’s demanding professions, family/parental issues, high school memories, and current stressors to setup a path to love. Meanwhile, Samiah and Taylor remain a main source for support for London through it all. This may be a love story, but it’s also backed by a friendship story.

Some parts of this story occasionally felt like a stretch (an important life conversation in the middle of watching a youth volleyball game?), but overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend to fans of the contemporary romance genre.

Tropes: Former Crush, One Night Stand That Doesn’t Stop After One Night, Enemies to Lovers, Friends with Benefits, Medical Drama.

Thank you so much to Forever and Netgalley for sharing an eARC with me. This book releases in August 2022.

Thank you Net Galley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and thank you Forever publishing and Farrah Rochon for the "read now" designation!

Having read the first two books of the series I was eagerly anticipating Taylor's story, and it did not disappoint. Taylor is a highly driven overacheiver who comes into contact with a HS rival, Drew Sullivan, at a class reunion. By the end of the night she's having a ..relaxing, time in his hotel room while vowing it will never happen again. The next day she finds out he's in charge of an audit of the hospital where she works that could lead to it closing its doors... but that doesn't stop her from hooking up with Drew again!

I really enjoyed this story. I liked how her relationship with Drew developed, and the added family drama added more layers to the character. Samiah and London appeared just enough to add to the story while leaving the book as largely a stand-alone. The complications Drew and Taylor had were realistic and addressed well. I'm a sucker for a second chance story, especially when one member of the couple had been pining the whole time. My only quibble is I thought the hospital drama was resolved in such a way that it was almost unneccessary that it even happened? But that didn't distract from my enjoyment of the book at all. 5 stars.

After feeling lukewarm about the first book in this series yet LOVING the second book, I tried not to have my expectations too high going into this story just in case, but boy, was I happy being proved wrong!

The Hookup Plan is the final of three stories in The Boyfriend Project series. (It's important to note again that in the first book Samiah, Taylor, and London are three-timed by their mutual scheming boyfriend, Craig, and they all go viral in a YouTube video when they confront the cheater together.)

This book picks up after both Samiah's and Taylor's love stories and focuses on London Kelley, a pediatric surgical resident in her fifth and final year at Travis County Hospital in Austin, TX. Her story picks up at her 15-year high school reunion where she runs into her old high school nemesis and co-valedictorian, Drew Sullivan. At the advice of her friends that she needs to de-stress and try a casual hookup, she and Drew have a one night stand. When London realizes he'll be in town for about a month because his firm's audit of her struggling hospital, they decide on a casual friends-with-benefits arrangement. What once was competition and animosity between teenagers blossoms into something more between the pair as they spend time together.

I was definitely charmed by how their relationship bloomed and warmed throughout the book! Both London and Drew knew they had major flaws in themselves and in the relationships they've had with others, but seeing them work through them on the page so that they could be better people in the future as well as consider a relationship together was what cinched it for me. There's also some major navigation of family dynamics here that is super satisfying to watch unfold. All together, this is a very satisfying ending to a great series.

Definitely sign me up for Farrah Rochon's future books!

In the third and final installment in Farrah Rochon's romantic comedy trilogy, we see our girl London finally get her happily ever after. When she runs into her high school nemesis, Drew, at their reunion, her hatred of him doesn't prevent her from spending time with him for a little one-time "stress relief." But when it turns out she has to see him every day at work for the next six weeks, she can't decided whether to stay away or turn in his direction.

London's book was perhaps the one I was most looking forward to. I appreciate seeing a high-achieving pediatric surgeon trying to figure out if and how she wants to integrate a man into her life. And in having one of my favorite tropes--enemies-to-lovers--I knew it was going to be a winner, and it didn't disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am so sad to see the series conclude, but I definitely caught a teaser title for a 2023 book that I wish I knew more about because I can't wait!

Thanks to Forever for my eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this one! London and Drew were amazing characters - and everything from the tension between them at the beginning to the love between them at the end was absolutely perfect. I also love reading about women in STEM, so the fact that this story shined a light on London’s job as a surgeon in residency was an additional, exciting plot for me.

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is spectacular! Enemies to lovers. Sex only with no feelings. Wait! We caught feelings!

I read romance for the happily ever after, or happily for now. So I know there will be love. I know that even if the characters fight it, love wins out. And I am OK with knowing how a trope ends up. It's comforting. What makes it not boring is how each author tells their story. Each story is unique. So even though you have a trope, you still don't know how these characters are going to react.

London and Drew are wonderful and I loved reading their story.

I received an advance review copy for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Brief synopsis: London works a very demanding job as a pediatric surgeon. She’s super stressed and her friends suggest a casual hookup is what she needs. She didn’t plan for that hookup to happen with her high school rival Drew. To make things more complicated, Drew is in town deciding whether or not her hospital will stay open as is or be sold to a private company. He’s also showing her a different side of him than what she perceived in high school—a good side.

The third book in The Boyfriend Project series did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this story. I read it so fast.

One thing I love about this book, and this series in general, is the emphasis on strong female friendships. London, Taylor, and Samiah are friendship goals and bring such a great element to this story, something that I think sets it apart from typical romances.

I also loved that London’s love interest was someone she had known since her teenage years. I like stories where longtime friends-or in this case “rivals”-fall in love.

I love that Farrah Rochon has side stories apart from the romance that are intriguing and deal with more in depth/serious issues. I think it’s one of the reasons I enjoyed the first book, The Boyfriend Project, so much—because it had a storyline I was not expecting at all. One theme I especially loved in this book was the theme of self care. I feel like our culture places so much emphasis on “the grind” and constantly being on the go, when the reality of it is that constantly doing can lead us to neglect our friends, family, and ourselves. Taking time to decompress and de-stress is important and I liked that this was addressed in the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. Each girl’s story was so good and it’s hard for me to choose which one was my favorite.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. This is the first book that I’ve read by this author. While it was fun to watch London and Drew get together I felt like the story wasn’t finished. There’s not a HEA but the impression of it. You know that they are happy in their relationship but it kind of just ends. I liked the fact that there was no middle story break-up or misunderstanding that is often found in romance novels but I guess I as expecting another chapter. All and all it was an enjoyable read.

Unfortunately I do not enjoy this style of rom-com, and while I can appreciate the story and atmosphere the author was trying to create, it didn't work for me. London is our pediatric doctor, and Drew is her arch-enemy from high school that is now in charge of her employer's future. There are such good bones to this story, and I really wanted it to work, but all of the banter, "comedic" plot points, and overall drama were very exaggerated and over the top. Everything felt very blunt and in your face. I also think it read quite juvenile, for characters that are supposed to be a millionaire business man and a doctor. There were some sweet moments, and I think there are plenty of people who would love this style of romance, this wasn't for me.
