This book was a very fun read while also including serious topics. The high school rivals that end up working in the same hospital was a very interesting plot! I loved the dynamic between Drew and London, especially due to their rocky start! I sometimes felt that scenes had too much detail about topics that weren't very relevant to the plot. I loved the ending where all the characters were brought together, and we got to see their growth from the beginning of the book. Overall, this was a good read, and I would recommend it to fellow book lovers!

London is too busy for anything other than her patients, let alone a relationship. But when she runs into her (former?) high school nemesis, Drew, she thinks she’s found the perfect stress relief. There’s definite physical chemistry but he’s only in town for work, and they don’t even like each other, so what could go wrong.
Drew was infatuated with London back in high school. Will he win her over?
This one is good, but at almost halfway through, it’s a little too predictable and not holding my interest. So I’ll be moving on.

What a fantastic finish to this series! Have you ever read a book that makes you gobble it up in one sitting while you also want to slowly savor it because it is so good? This is that book.

London is an accomplished pediatric surgeon. She is known for being in control inside and outside of work. She has been working towards her goals since she was young.

Drew was London’s high school nemesis. Drew is in town for a short term business project and goes to their high school reunion on the spur of the moment. He reconnects with London and sparks fly.

London decides to put the antipathy aside for a short term fling with Drew. The relationship starts to blossom when Drew’s business project conflicts with London’s everyday life. I don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say the romance is top notch.

The book manages to balance the romance with heavier topics like grief, toxic family relationships, and dealing with medical issues head on. You should read this entire series if you haven’t.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

The Hookup Plan is the 3rd and final book in The Boyfriend Project series and my fav in the series! The series started out with 3 women learning they were all dating the same man...they ditched him and formed an instant friendship with one another. They even made a pact, to worry less about men and dating apps and focus on projects in their life that brought them joy instead. Book 1 was Samiah’s story, 2 was Taylor’s, and this book is London’s.

London is a pediatric surgeon with a whole lot of stress in her life…the main factor being the possible sale of the hospital she works at. Her friends have been pushing her to let off steam by ending her sex drought, so while at her 15-year high school reunion London decides to do just that with her old school nemesis, Drew Sullivan. Back in highschool, Drew was co-valedictorian and often in competition with London, while secretly crushing on her. While at the reunion, the two get to bantering and one-upping one another when London propositions Drew for one night of fun. It isn’t until the next day at work that London learns why Drew is back in Austin, Texas. Now a multimillionaire hedge fund manager, Drew has been hired to run an audit and assessments on the hospital London works at to see if it’s ready from a move to state-run to privately owned. Now their one night stand quickly turns into more when London suggests they become hookup partners while he’s in town before he goes back to NYC. London wants no-strings-attached hookups and Drew pushes her for more…he wants a weekly dinner or coffee date. But the more time they spend together, the more London finds herself enjoying herself, relaxing, opening up about family and work woes, and genuinely enjoying time with Drew.

I enjoyed London and Drew together, their history really added to their chemistry and the relationship felt natural. I liked how he had always wanted her over the years and always knew what an amazing person she was. He brings a nice balance to her busy work life as a pediatric surgeon and she’s able to open up about her lifelong struggles with her relationship with her father. London also deals with a hypertension diagnosis and trying to help out her rebellious teenage half-sister. This had just enough of the friendship moments between the 3 heroines of the series but not overwhelming where you couldn’t read this as a stand-alone. While this was my favorite read in the series, I enjoyed seeing all the couples together in the epilogue!

3.5 stars/rounded up on GR. Thank you to the publisher (Forever) for an e-ARC via NetGalley. All thoughts in this review are my own. The Hookup Plan has a pub date of August 2, 2022.

The Hookup Plan gives you everything you could ever want in a romance book. From the banter to the relationship, I really enjoyed this book. I also love how we still get a glimpse into taylor and samiah’s life while telling london’s story.

I enjoy this book the witty banter and sexy shenanigans. What told out it was different from the other two no big conflict where the main character lays around crying about how much she missed him. It was refreshing.

I loved the other two books in this series and I loved this one too. I could do identify with London and her workaholic tendencies and I love that she was good at what she does. Her relationship with Drew was great and I loved that he was his own character too. I really enjoyed this book overall and will def be recommending it.

I like this conclusion to Rochon's stand-alone series. It was my favorite of the three the books so far, with two characters who already knew each other in the past being a fun change from the typical enemies to lovers stories we are inundated with. This was sweet but also swoony, and I liked that it went into the depths with family problems and the characters were able to work together at the end instead of breaking up unnecessarily.

I had not read the previous two books in this series but because it was about a different couple it wasn't necessary that I did.
This book was about two people that went to high school together and met again at their reunion 15 years later. In high school they were both top of the class and hated each other. The night of the reunion they decide to hookup with no string attached. Little did they both realize there would be plenty of string that would come about.
I loved the relationship of these two people and I am always a fan of an enemies to lovers trope. Rochon wrote these characters perfectly and I felt like I was able to connect with them.
The main thing that I was not a fan of in this book is the frequency that it was mentioned how much money the male main character had, but it didn't take away from the overall plot.
Thank you Hachette Book Group, Farrah Rochon and NetGalley for the allowing me to read and review this book before publishing!

A great third installment to Farrah Rochon's trilogy! Getting to know London in the previous two books, this is exactly love story she deserves. In many ways, I feel like Rochon solved some of the problems I have with a lot of contemporary romance. London didn't have to sacrifice to get her man, he supported her being the badass that she is. Everyone was in therapy! So often I find myself yelling at characters to get professional help and Drew and London listened. The book felt grounded and realistic while also being sweet escapism.

I was drawn to this book based on the vibrant cover and the description. And if I'm being completely honest I don't think I even completely finished the full description before wanting to read this book. With that being said.. This book is absolutely fantastic! London is this strong, empowered heroine that really spoke to me...From the very first chapter I was hooked on the back and fourth witty remarks between London and Drew. I was drawn into their banter and it made me want to read chapter after chapter. This is one of those books where you keep saying just one more chapter and next thing you know it's 3am. Farrah Rochon writing style just flows so well in this book it made me feel like I was binging a romcom series. Best part is I had no clue this book was part of a 3 book series!!! So now I will be reading the others!

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Netgalley for an ARC of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Let me make this pronouncement right away: THE HOOKUP PLAN is my favorite book in Farrah Rochon’s Boyfriend Project series. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved all three books (centered around three women who find out they’ve all been dating the same man and who not only go viral when they find out and confront him, but become close friends because of it) but there was something special about Dr. London Kelley and her high school nemesis Drew Sullivan.

After reuniting at their high school reunion, London and Drew decide to embark on a friends-with-benefits situation. Her two best friends task her with hooking up with someone to relieve some of the stress she carries as a successful pediatric surgeon and Drew, in town temporarily, is a perfect candidate. However, London’s main caveat is that she does not want to sleep with someone she’ll have to see every day, and though she thinks Drew will be heading back to New York where he’s living, it turns out that he’s there for a period of time, assessing the public hospital she works at.

But while this is the perfect setup for a miscommunication or little white lie situation that ultimately leads to London and Drew’s breakup and eventual makeup, Farrah Rochon gives the reader exactly what they want: to not have to read another story where that happens. I loved how perfect these characters work together, not just literally—though, of course, that adds some conflict to the story—but physically and mentally. You could feel the passion they have, separately for their respective careers and for each other, and I loved how supportive they were with the myriad of issues both were dealing with, including the death of a close family member and the guilt that might come with that, fractured relationships and finding the strength to distance from or work harder on them, and everyday misogyny. It was incredibly refreshing to see such unwavering support between two characters.

Though I’m sad the series is most likely complete and we won’t get any more glimpses into the lives of these six main characters, I’m already looking forward to Farrah Rochon’s next novel.

"She was fucking art. She was everything. The energy and power she exuded captivated him. Her dedication and drive compelled him to want to do better. Her sensuality and that way she had of unabashedly stating what she wanted in no uncertain terms made him want to give her everyhing she demanded and more."

This is my first Farrah Rochon book, and it definitely will not be my last. I felt a little chaotic jumping into the third book in the series first, but I was too excited when I got this ARC and it did not disappoint.

London and Drew are high school academic rivals and have been apart for about a decade, so she really wasn't expecting him to be her choice in casual hookups starting at their high school reunion. Baffled by her decision to sleep with her archnemesis, she's completely thrown when she not only finds out that he's making the decisions for the future of her hospital, but that she really can't stay away from him.

These were some of the best written characters I've read all year. London's head strong attitude when it comes to not only her carreer, but her family and beliefs made her such a standout character. I love reading women who don't crumble under the weight and judgements of the men around her, which London definitely has to deal with. I loved how soft Drew was for London. Watching him fall in love with her, and pushing her to open up was heartwarming. I only wish there was a little more personal development when it came to Drew. We got so much insight on London, I would have loved a bit more of him.

I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good enemies with benefits, enemies to lovers, and a well balanced plot to spice story. I cannot wait to go back and read the first two books in this series.

Thank you so much Netgalley, Farah Rochon, and Forever for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a fun book and absolutely choc full of my favourite tropes. London and Drew were such well rounded characters and I loved their relationship as it progressed. I haven't read the other books in this series yet, but they're definitely on my tbr now!

I have read the full series of the Boyfriend Project and this book is a perfect conclusion. It is also my favourite.

Drew and London have a been long time rivals from their high school days and reconnect at their high school reunion. After a one night stand turns into a sex deal, the two can't stay a part even though they are at odds at work. London is a surgeon at a community hospital and Drew is the lead of an auditing team evaluating the hospital. Their relationship develops further when past family issues present themselves.

Overall, I loved this book both main characters have sympathetic actions and motivations and they work very well as a couple. I love London's stubbornness to develop deeper feelings and I was laughing out loud while reading some of the set up in this novel.

This novel is heartfelt when dealing with the death of a parent to the point where I was crying when Drew and London were dealing with the death of Drew's mother.

If you are looking for a fun, contemporary that pulls on the heart muscle, I would recommend giving this romance a try. However, it is not necessary, but to get the full experience of the friendship dynamics, I would suggest starting at the beginning of the series.

The Hookup Plan is a fun, contemporary romance. If you enjoy reading rivals to lovers, this one may be for you!

We follow Dr. London Kelley, a perfectionist and overachieving surgeon in her final year of residency, and her high school rival and co-valedictorian Drew Sullivan. Drew is a very successful ex-hedge fund manager and now consultant whose company is tasked with auditing the hospital that London works at. To put it simply, he and his partners hold the future of this public hospital in their hands, which London is not too thrilled about.

This book is written in dual POV, which I absolutely love as we get to read about this one-sided rivalry from one character and absolute adoration from the other. I really enjoyed this book and will have to get my hands on the previous two books!

The Hookup Plan wraps up Farrah Rochon's Boyfriend Project series, but with solid proof that last is NOT least.

London has been an overachiever her whole life, always trying to get her father's attention and approval with her accomplishments. And the moment Drew Sullivan rolled into Barbara Jordan High, she finally had some academic competition, which instantly made him her enemy. Fifteen years later, they meet up again at their class reunion, and the old animosity is still there, despite London now being a successful pediatric surgeon.

Workaholic, pre-hypertensive London needs to blow off some steam (and find some work/life balance) and Drew is just the guy to do it with. What's meant to be a one-time thing turns into month-long hookup and these two can't help but peel back the layers on the last 15 years along with their clothes.

This rivals-to-lovers, friends-with-benefits story is EVERYTHING.

The friendship between Samiah, Taylor, and London is stronger than ever and you'll be wishing you had a standing invite to their girls' nights and emergency breakfasts. The professional and personal plotlines for both London and Drew are rich, nuanced, and for some of us very relatable. Who knew hospital politics and sexism could be so interesting without the Grey's Anatomy drama?

What I have loved about this series and is front and center again is that it's about Black women being successful, finding love, and living their best lives. The road there isn't always smooth, everyone has baggage, but it's what makes this series, and the Hookup Plan in particular, such a satisfying read. The epilogue is exactly the final scene I needed (but it's so hard to say goodbye!!). But maybe one day Farrah Rochon will gift us a one-shot for Craig. :D

Heatwise, it's on par with the previous two books. Though it's friends-with-benefits, there's not a lot of on-page detail for the early hookups, and one major on-page scene around 70%.

CW: narcissist parent; alcoholic, abusive parent; early death from cancer (at 53).

Thank you netgallary for this ARC.
I LOVED this entire series but this one may have been my favorite. I loved seeing their relationship develop over the pages. Going from enemies to lovers is one of my favorite reads. I love that the lead female is a surgeon.
I'm so sad that this series is over now.

Hate turned into love. It was like watching an episode of Girlfriends, loved the friendships in this book. The steamy romance was like extra cheese on a pizza, lol. Looking forward to reading more from the author. This is for Jasmine Guillory readers. I am happy to have representation of black love in these romance novels.

Yes! This is absolutely a big winner and my favorite book of Boyfriend Project series!

I was really curious to read accomplished, ambitious pediatric surgeon London Kelly’s story since main three heroines’ fates intercepted on a date at restaurant with a scumbag Craig who is fishing three of them at the same time!

London’s under a lot work related stress: the hospital she works can be closed because of financial struggles and she has to deal her own health issues thanks to her narcissistic dad’s worst genes she’s inherited. Best way to relax and forget all of her worries is getting laid as her best friends Samiah and Taylor ( we already met them at the previous books and read their stories) advised her to do.

And she gets what she’s wished for: A high school reunion ends with having sex with her 15 years long nemeses Drew Sullivan- a successful, ultra rich hedge fund manager, he has dreamy abs and charming smile!

No strings attach and one night and one daytime hook up later, she thinks she can move on her life after getting Drew’s sex charm out of her system. But eventually she finds out the real reason of Drew’s sudden visit to Austin: he’s the head of the audit team who will decide the future of hospital she’s working!

But now she has to cooperate with her long time enemy to save her hospital. And the man she’s detested for years wasn’t the man she thought he was. Drew seems like patient, caring, easy to talk and helpful.

Drew has also long time crush for her and he’s adamant to be her friend or more than that!
And London is stubborn enough to keep her professional life out from their fling! Or is it more than that? Palpable attraction, undeniably high sexual chemistry between them won’t make things easier! Game on!

I loved both characters and easy to empathize with their emotional struggles. As Drew misses the chance of having a family, London deals with her daddy issues and rebellious step sister!

Overall: I had great reading time and if you enjoy the previous books of the series, I highly recommend this book! It’s absolutely the BEST!

Special thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts.
