I was so excited to receive this arc that I dropped everything and devoured it in one day.

After falling in love with the bad ass ladies that are Samiah, Taylor and London who became best friends after confronting their mutual cheating boyfriend, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on London’s story.

London is a hot shot surgeon who has a lot on her plate. Her friends convince her to find a hobby to attempt to lower her stress and blood pressure. When crocheting isn’t quite doing the trick they suggest a new plan. A hookup plan.

While making sure everything runs smoothly at her high school reunion she runs into Drew, her high school nemesis who is a millionaire hedge fund manager and still pushing her buttons. After agreeing to a one night (or two as it was) fling, they end up on opposite sides of a mission to save the hospital where London works.

As London navigates her own health, her issues with her father, advocating for her patients and hospital personnel she comes to rely on Drew even though it’s just temporary.

Love an enemies to lovers story and this was a great one!! It was so fun to be back in touch with these fierce ladies!

Thank you to @netgalley and @readforeverpub @grandcentralpub for making this arc available to me to read and review!!

This was easily my favorite of the series!

Drew has had a crush on London since high school. They reconnect at their reunion and have a one night stand because she believes he’s leaving town. However, his company is auditing the hospital London works for and will be around quite a while.
This book was a lot of fun and a good story, who doesn’t love a bad b*tch woman doctor! Also all the drama was reminiscent of Grey’s Anatomy a show I love. I also loved that she brought their families into the mix with all their struggles.
I just wish there had been a little more fine tuning of the depth to the characters. It seemed like we should already know London and Drew starting the book. It also ended rather quickly and I would have liked more rounding out of their lives.

But overall for a quick easy romance for a flight this hit the spot.

This book was a wild ride. I enjoyed it but I don't think the writing style is for me. London is a brilliant, confident woman and I liked that her flaws are actually brought out, it makes her more relatable and makes the story more enjoyable. Drew's effort to keep pushing their relationship until it actually became something better. Academic rivals to lovers will always be amazing.

I can't believe this series is over :( This is really a full-circle moment because I read The Boyfriend Project right around this time a year ago in preparation for The Dating Playbook's release. I quickly fell in love with Samiah, Taylor, and London, as well as the series as a whole, and seeing the series come to a close with London's story is truly bittersweet. I loved London and Drew in The Hookup Plan and seeing them grow from former academic rivals to more. Academic rivals-to-lovers is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and it was really cool and unique to see this "adult version" where the two characters reunite fifteen years as former academic rivals. The witty banter that comes with the trope was still super prominent between London and Drew, and it just made me love them even more.

As always, Farrah never fails to thoughtfully touch on more serious themes within her romances. I really liked seeing London and Drew lean on and support one another through London's struggle to balance the stressful nature of her job and her family life, as well as Drew's journey to grow from the hardships he and his family faced when he was younger. Also the fact that there was no third-act breakup was everything. We really just got to see these two enjoy each other's company and ultimately fall in love and it was beautiful.

I think the only thing I would've loved to see is more of a natural development of an emotional connection between London and Drew. I think because these two characters already knew each other from before the story starts, a lot of their emotional connection (especially on Drew's end) occurs off-page, whereas with Samiah & Daniel and Taylor & Jamar, we got to see each pair really grow into their relationship.

Overall, I highly recommend this series for a feel-good contemporary Black romance series with themes such as sisterhood, finding passion within your career, family, and more. I look forward to Farrah's next book, which I hear is releasing next summer!

The Hookup Plan continues Farrah Rochon's series that follows three women who meet after finding out, via viral tweets, that they were all unknowingly dating the same man. Like the first two books, The Hookup Plan has strong female characters, wonderful female friendships, and complex, respectful men.

London Kelley is the focus of this book, and I appreciated how complicated her life and relationships are outside of her relationship with her former high school nemesis, Drew Sullivan. I wish there was more development of some of their internal issues, particularly Drew's, but overall I really enjoyed my reading experience.

I loved the first book in Farrah Rochon’s The Boyfriend Project series but I thought the second book was just okay - so when I started the third book, The Hookup Plan, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Let me tell you, Rochon brought the heat. The Hookup Plan is enemies-to-lovers, except that Drew has been infatuated with London since they were in high school. They have what should be a one-night stand, but are thrown back together when Drew is auditing her hospital.

What I liked: It felt like reading an episode of Grey’s Anatomy and I was super into that. I liked the medical aspect for this reason and felt like I could picture it perfectly. I also thought that Drew and London’s relationships with their families were very nuanced and interesting.

What could be better: It took me a little bit to get into this book, it was a bit slow for me, especially starting off with the reunion.

I would give The Hookup Plan four out of five stars. As I said, it was an entertaining read once I got into it with tropes that were carried out well. It has a little bit of spice but it could always be spicier! I look forward to reading Rochon’s next book as well.

Farrah Rochon is a no-questions-asked, must-read author for me! She is well skilled at balancing steamy romance with strong sense of self and friendships. The Hookup Plan is out August 2, 2022.

The Hookup Plan centers on Dr. London Kelley, a pediatric surgeon wünderkind at a financially-strapped county hospital. She happens to *ahem* reconnect with former classmate Drew Sullivan at (and after 😈) a class reunion, only to see Drew in her hospital’s conference room come Monday. Turns out, Drew is working to audit London’s hospital to help save it from the financial brink.

Rivals-to-lovers is close enough to enemies-to-lovers, and if there’s one rom com trope I never tire of… But this book also gave: badass, ambitious, don’t-distract-me-from-my-goals London; sweet and intelligent Drew; and, of course, grounding, hilarious, caring Samiah and Taylor. I LOVED that Drew never questioned London on her goals or aspirations. He knew from jump he needed to respect her process. London didn’t need Drew, but damn he worked to ensure she wanted him by her side!

I’m excited to read whatever else Farrah Rochon puts out next!

I went into this book absolutely blind. I hadn't read the previous two books in the series (good thing each one is about a separate friend) and I instantly loved the story.

School rivals meet 15 years later and have a no strings attached hookup at their class reunion? Great hook. Even better is finding out there's plenty of strings attached here.

I really enjoyed the writing style of Farrah Rochon and am definitely going to have to back track and read the other two books in this series now. Going backwards is fine... right? Too late now.

Thank you to Hachette Book Group, Farrah Rochon, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this hook ahead of publishing!

The best book yet in Rochon’s Boyfriend Project trilogy. This tale is a rivals-to-lovers trope that hits exactly the buttons I want while avoiding many of the pitfalls of the genre.

To start with, we have a good pairing in our heroine (London) and hero (Drew). London is a gorgeous pediatric surgeon who has nigh-rockstar status at her public hospital, and Drew is a hot, loaded hedge fund manager from humble origins. While I often cringe at romances where the female lead is career-oriented and the male lead is family-oriented, this novel updates the career-family consideration of life and relationships in a way that I think really works. London is married to her job, but not because of the prestige—rather, she honestly wants to make a difference in the lives of the children and families she serves. Drew was once married to his high-paying job, but since the death of his mother has decided to pivot his career with an aim at helping struggling public hospitals manage their budgets. He does not dissuade London from giving her career her all, just insists that she make enough time to take care of herself—and whatever else she deems important in her life—as well.

I also like the way that the ‘rivals to lovers’ storyline is undertaken. Namely, there is a lopsidedness to the antipathy in their relationship. London and Drew were rivals in high school, but for different reasons: London hated Drew because his rivalry threatened her superstar academic status, the only reason her narcissistic father ever paid attention to her; meanwhile, Drew crushed hard on London and kept up with her in classes in an attempt to impress her. Their fifteen-years-later meetup, hookup, and romance is totally believable, because old resentments can be put aside and the two are able to get to know one another as adults.

And it is a VERY adult way of knowing one another. The sex scenes in this book are great. If you like ‘clean’ romance, this is not the book for you!

I adore reading about successful, smart, driven adults finding love with one another. This book gives me exactly that.

The Hookup Plan is the perfect way to wrap up this trilogy. We pick up on London’s story right where The Dating Playbook left off - and the twists and turns as London and Drew’s romance grows from high school arch rivals to more was so fun!

Once again, Farrah Rochon creates characters that are so life like with their depth - I personally related to London’s high stress, high performing life vision and could see so many qualities in her that I have in myself. The enemies to lover trope is done so well in this book - and the major twist was not one that I can honestly say I was expecting!!

I can’t wait until 2023 to see what Farrah has next for us!

Farrah Rochon does it again, and she ends the series with perfection. What a fantastic romcom! What started in The Boyfriend Project, Farrah continues here and ties everything together. Very satisfied. As always, i cried at the ending.

This was my first time reading a Farrah Rochon story, but as soon as I began reading I could not put it down! I love how she instantly puts the reader in London’s shoes. Granted in the beginning I couldn’t stand the animosity of London towards Drew and the audacity of her to use him for sex.

But as I kelt reading, O began to understand her and loved how Drew’s character slowly helped changed her mind about him. I began reading this book for the romance but loved that other themes where prevalent throughout the story, such as Friendship, Blended family relationships, Professional/ power dynamics in the workplace.

I love how London would stand up for what she believed in and how she eventually told her feelings to her dad. Ultimately, it was for her own benefit than getting him to see the light of day. But in life that’s just how things work sometimes.

**There were some grammatical errors throughout the story, which I hope get corrected on the final edits. **

Overall, this was a funny, witty, well written story that offers more than just romance. If you want to be entertained and moved at the same time I definitely recommend you to read The Hookup Plan.

The Hookup Plan was a fast, easy, and fun read. I gave it four stars because Rochon built strong side characters, showed growth for both main characters, and celebrated a strong female main character where the male main characters admires her for it and is not threatened. I also like how the series showcases a strong friendship between three women.

I admit, I actually have not read the other two books in this series, but this description caught my eye. I will now be going back to read those books now. London is a phenomenal character, being a black, female world class surgeon in the last year of her residency. She faces all kinds of personalities at her hospital, the staff that adores her since she speaks up for what is right, and then misogynistic older man who still believes in an old boys club. (Unfortunately most women have experienced this type of man at some point in their lives) London also has a strained relationship with her father, which is where I feel like London shows the most strength.

At the heart of the story is Drew. Her high school arch-nemesis. They start out enemies, turn into a not-really-friends with benefits, and then progress from there. I always love reading books where the male falls first and so resolutely and the female has to catch up. Drew was such a great leading man, and early on everyone but London could see what a good match they were. He was so patient and just so steadfast in his feelings, once he realized them. I also liked how his guilt over his mother was portrayed and how London helped them through that. This was such a fun book and I'm so glad Netgalley had this as a Read Now option so I did not sleep on it.

This was book three in Farrah Rochon Boyfriend Project Series. And I must say this book turned out to be my favorite in the series.

This book was about London of three women friendship that started when they went viral confront the same guy all three where dating. Dr London Kelley is a overworked, star pediatric surgeon in her last year of residence at a hospital going thru financial difficulties. She also got some health news that has here needing to have a healthier life style and ways to relax. Enter her old high school rival Drew Sullivan a big deal in the finance world who she meets again at their high school reunion. Turns out the reunion is not the only reason Drew is back in London’s life. Being back in each other’s lives let’s Drew and London see what’s missing in their own lives. The old rivalry turns into so much more than London expects.

I was going into this book just looking for a fun read because that’s what the other two books gave me. Well this one gave me that and so much more. I loved this and it’s one of my top reads of the year so far. It was hysterical, the banter between the main characters was amazing, chemistry and heat where also fantastic. There was also some emotional things that made me tear up. Farrah Rochon just made me feel so much in this book and when an author those that I can’t help but love it.

Highlights for me was the banter and chemistry between London and Drew. Also London is now one of my favorite heroines I ever read, She is amazing but also a flawed and she knows that. She tries to make herself better and live the lifestyle she should but it’s hard for her to find that balance with everything she does and goes thru. I related to her so much. The friendship between London, Samoan and Taylor carried the series as a whole and you still see it in this one. I also related to Drew in some ways and loved his character. The family issues I. The book hit close to home as well. They where well written and realistic. I can’t gush enough about this book. A fantastic series closer by Farrah Rochon. A five star read.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the arc.

This was the perfect ending to this trilogy. London has been my favorite character from the start of this series and Farrah definitely delivered on her behalf. The chemistry, competition, and wit between London and Drew was electric. The back stories and supporting characters were all written perfectly as well.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the final book in this 3-book series, and I was not disappointed! Loved London and Drew’s story! From high school rivals to kinda-coworkers to lovers to friends to “more” seems like an odd path… but it works so well in this book.

I also loved that London is a strong, independent woman who goes after what she wants and stands up for herself when others try to slap her down. Drew complimented her very well in this story.

What’s fun read. Of the 3 books in the series, I enjoyed this the most.

I really enjoy the friendship between London, Taylor and Samiah. And I loved that for the most part, London was honest and forthright with her friends about her feelings. So many romance novels involve a lot of internal dialogue to gain clarity. So it was refreshing that this book involved a lot of actual talking: with her friends, her love interest and her family.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for making this ARC available.

So we'll written and done! I'm huge fan of enemies to lovers stories and this one is good. The characters dynamic and the story... dude, so well done! I also liked the writing's style, it's simple but it brings all of the author has to say

Wow! Farrah Rochon never disappoints! I loved the strength of the FMC. I loved the way the MMC accepts her as she is. The family dynamics add another dimension that is “chef’s kiss”.
I will be anxiously waiting for any book by this fabulous author!!!

I love the first 2 books in this series so I was really excited to read this final book. This one is about the last woman in the trio, London. She is a successful (but overworked) pediatric surgeon. Her two other friends are now all attached and found their happily-ever-after. She meets her old high school nemesis Drew and they ended p in bed together. Of course, there are lots of complications....

Drew and London are terrific together in this enemies to lovers story. They are both smart, ambitious and successful. I love seeing them match wits and verbally spar with each other. The women's friendship and closeness are also very touching. They add so much more to the book.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
