I love this series and I’m so glad this one had just as great banter and chemistry. Simiah and Taylor where in this book as well, but they didn’t seem to have as big or frequent of scenes as the other two books. I love a romance with spice especially in one like this where you really see the relationship develop. While there was a good amount of spice, it didn’t seem to have as much as the other two from what I remember (but I could be wrong) which was a little weird for it being a FWB trope. I loved how passionate London was for her patients and the relationship she had with her coworkers. Drew and London challenged each other but had great communication. It was just the right balance of rom-com elements mixed with some more serious topics.

Thank you @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the gifted copy.

Reconnecting with an old nemesis at her high school reunion and getting a chance to sleep with the enemy is the catch for this enemies to lovers romance. I found the characters charming and the chemistry between London and Drew to be on fire. There is witty banter, romantic gestures and strong female friendships that make this read a winner. I just realized this is part of a series and I will need to find and read the previous installments.

London’s stress has been rising - her job as a paediatric surgeon is rewarding, but constant, and her friends suggest she get out from under her stress by getting under someone else. So when the opportunity arises with someone she knows but won’t have to see around, she takes it. Except he’s her high school rival, and head of the company now auditing and reviewing her hospital for a potential private sale. And since he’s been attracted to her since high school, he’s not looking to just destress.

I love London!! Her drive and passion for her work is incredible, and the empathy she shows to her coworkers is inspiring. Her stress level is also so relatable - I’m glad that her health was explored, even as someone who helps others.

I really loved that Drew had a little crush on London since high school - I loved their history as rivals and co-valedictorians and how each of them viewed their interactions differently.

That history helped give them foundation for London’s sexy stress relief, and I loved that Drew was all in, whatever he could get from her, from the beginning.

The conflict of him working to assess her hospital’s finances gave the perfect amount of tension, and I could’ve read about them for much longer!

I’m so happy that this is the book that rounds out this series, and that the friendship between London, Samiah and Taylor is still a pivotal part of this book. I’d highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series.

Every time I pick up a Farrah Rochon novel I know what I’m getting — great character dynamics, low angst, and the power of friendship. This was such a nice way to end the series — the dynamic between the main couple was almost more threatened by whether or not to take it to the next level than whether or not to stay together once they were in it. If you’re looking for a really great rom-com series with emphasis on both elements, plus a feel-good story that doesn’t play on too much angst, you’ll want to check out the Boyfriend Project books. Eager to see what her next series will be!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 stars, rounded to 4. The Hookup Plan is an enemies to lovers romance, featuring a strong black woman, London, who is a pediatrician in Austin, Texas. When she organizes her high school reunion and her arch nemesis, the very handsome Drew, appears, sparks fly. Not in the romantic sense, but in the zingers and one-liners that London unleashes on him. There is a simmering fire between them though, and London decides she can let go of some of her stress and anxiety by taking her friends advice to find someone to hook up with, and decides Drew will do. Drew is a gentleman at heart, and he has his high school infatuation with London come true by agreeing to her hookup plan, while trying to show London that it’s ok to want and need more.

This book is oooh so steamy, and is a perfect book for the February romance season. Although London’s attitude was somewhat annoying at times, by the end of the story she softened and we got to know her character more intimately. I liked how the story had a strong, professional woman at the core who learns early on in her life that money and professional fame isn’t all its cracked up to be. It is so important to have relationships and love as well.

I have read Ms. Rochon in the past and enjoyed, I unfortunately did not get around to reading this one possible maybe in the future.

My favorite of the series, hands down. I love London and her attitude, and I love this trio of unlikely friends. London gets a blast from the past in her high school rival who shows up to their high school reunion, and of course they casually sleep together and he was in love with her the whole time because OF COURSE *swoon*. BUT there is also a catch, Drew is there to decide if London's hospital will keep it's doors open or not. Cue the drama.

Both these characters also have incredibly difficult family backgrounds and there is so much growth in the two - and they help each other through them as they go. I love the books where one or both characters just fight against their feelings for so long, but also can't stay away. The tension and pull is elite in my opinion and these two have that.

Definitely recommend this one, along with the first two in the series. These ladies are the best of friends to each other and it's so pure.

This was a super adorable book! I loved the story line as a whole and Drew is a 5 star book boyfriend. He was absolutely perfect! I am in the medical field so listening to London’s story was easy for me to relate to and understand what was going on. The friendship dynamics and strong female roles was also a highlight of this story for me. Highly recommend if you like

As someone who was an early fan of "Grey's Anatomy" you know I go out of my way to read medical stories. Especially romance. So when I saw The Hookup Plan, I may have let out a shrill hooray. Having enjoyed this series so much, I loved that the friendship between London, Samiah and Taylor have remained a core of the story. This friendship, even as their lives have all changed and evolved since we first met them, warms my heart. London might be my favorite though.

I hate that I waited this long to read this one! The final book in The Boyfriend Project series, I loved every single minute of (listening) to this one. Even though I'd received an advanced digital copy of this, I wanted to wait till it was released and I could get the audiobook to read this one, since that's how I read the rest of the series as well.

London was an absolute powerhouse and it was so much fun watching her lowering her defenses against Drew's UNDENIABLE charm. This book gave me the best rom-com feelings I've had in a while, à la No Strings Attached.

I totally flew through the audio of this and I'm so glad I waited. I can't wait to see what Farrah Rochon writes next!

Here's what I loved about this book:

The friendship between these women started in the most unconventional way, but its rock-solid relationship. I loved how they are portrayed.

Farrah Rochon is an exceptional writer. The plot and writing here is well executed.

The character and relationship development are the star here.

And can we just get into her flipping cute this cover is.

What else could you want? Recommended!

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon
The Boyfriend Project series #3. Contemporary diverse romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but the ending does include the women from the first two books and refers to how they met (book 1).
London and Drew were rivals in high school. When they meet again at a reunion, London decides that Drew is the perfect candidate for a casual hookup. Complications pop up when they realize he could be the person that shuts down the place she works.

I loved London’s confidence in herself and her passion. So empowering. Sharing her issues with Drew also made her approachable and his reaction was suburb.
A great wrap to the series.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley

London and Drew hookup after attending their reunion. London thinking it was a one and done situation, and Drew knowing that he would be seeing her again on Monday.

The tension between the two is perfect. I loved to see how their relationship grows and develops. This is what I loved and what made me want to keep going.

This is my honest voluntary review.

Thank you to NetGalley for my eARC of this book.

Unfortunately, I DNF'd this book. After loving the first book in this series and not liking the second one, I was hesitant to try this series again. I went in hoping I'd find the interest again, and it's just not the right book for me at this time. I may revisit it in the future, but something made me okay with putting this down for now.

That's not saying it's worth the try. Farrah writes strong characters, and they are set in my city. I just couldn't get into this one.

I love this series so much and Farrah is such an incredible author. She writes with her entire heart and I'm thrilled to have this trio of fantastic women get their HEAs.

The Dating Playbook is one of my FAVORITE romances. I recommend it ALL the time! I was so excited for this book, but unfortunately this one fell so flat for me. I wasn't invested in the characters and found myself skimming along to finish quicker. I still HIGHLY recommend book 2 (and even book 1), but will pass on this one.

This book was one of my favourite romances I read this year! The characters were both fierce and loveable.
