This was a nice story. The characters were good, and the descriptions were believable, I have been in a reading slump for months and this book has taken me a long time to read.
Loved reading about Greece. My home from home. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

Warning: This book contains loads of delicious sounding food and will make you hungry!

Ensure you have snacks nearby while reading this utterly gorgeous escapist romance.

Lydia's descriptions of food and of Thanos' cooking in particular is mouth watering.

And the descriptions and locations being used in Corfu were absolutely stunning and I loved through Lydia and Caroline's eyes, being taken on a tour of Corfu.

I loved both of Lydia and Thanos' back stories, and getting to know them both was a pleasure.

This is pure escapism at its finest from the queen of the Greek romance. Utterly brilliant as I have come to expect from Mandy Baggot.

Thank you to Embla Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Ideal as a holiday read or for a bit of escapism when you want to imagine a bit of warmth without having to think too hard to get into the story.

Another fabulous Greek summer sizzler from Mandy Baggot! It's Corfu again this time, and what a great backdrop for a heady romance between Lydia and Thanos. Lydia, a lovely and, often amusing, protagonist and Thanos, a quite heavenly Greek God. Between them Baggot has cultivated an amazing frisson and chemistry interspersed with warmth, sunshine and heavenly Greek food.
When it comes to heartwarming, quite delicious romance, Baggot never fails to deliver!
The absolutely perfect must read beach novel for Summer 2023.!

I love this author's books and I was delighted to see that she had a new release out!

I thought that it had a great storyline with a well developed plot

I loved the writing style and the flow was very good but there were a couple of places where it became a little slow. It had some wonderful characters that were well developed and fun to get to know too

It was a lovely slow burn romance on a wonderful greek island

It is 4.5 stars from me for this one, which I have rounded up to 5 stars for Goodreads and Amazon - another fabulous read from Mandy and can't wait to read what she releases next! Very highly recommended!!

Mandy Baggot does it again. Greek beaches, hunky men, lots of delicious food, what's not to love. Add a teenage wannabe boy band, a couple of feisty octogenarians and even a pig and you have the perfect holiday read. If you're not already on a sunlounger this book will make you feel as if you are.. Just close your eyes and you'll be there.

A lovely sunmmer read. If you can not get abroad then this will transport you to Corfu and give you a yearning for Greek food. If you are going to Corfu then it will suggest lots of amazing places to vist.

Lydia and Caroline have a busy "work" trip to Corfu, which results in love, healing, good food, friendship and family.

A great feel good story full of inspiring and liakeble character.

A perfect beach read.
Escape to sunny Corfu, beautifully described scenery, interesting characters, plenty of romantic interest and of course the food. All beautifully written - a gem!
I would highly recommend this book

All the right ingredients for a delightful summer read. Lydia and her friend go to Corfu on a last minute business trip to research travel and food articles for a magazine. Lydia used to cook, but had issues, so now writes about food instead. She comes across Thanos on her culinary excursions, who loves to cook, but is frustrated by having to stay in his small village and be restricted in becoming the chef he dreams to be. Together they connect and dare to explore their dreams and try to work through issues from their pasts that are holding them back. Great characters including a glorious old woman, a cheeky young brother, a lush of a best friend, and scenery written about like you can see it, this is a well rounded menu that does not need anything other than a beach chair, a glass of wine, and the do not disturb sign

What's going on, I should have loved this book as the premise sounded amazing! But I did not love it, sadly.
The backdrop is pretty and interesting, but I really failed to connect to the characters. They were nice, but so forgetablle.

Another laugh out loud romcom from a great author.
I loved the setting in Corfu, so many interesting facts and places were described and I could really picture it all.
All of the food talk had me constantly hungry! I like it when an author does research like Mandy clearly has, in order to build the career of her characters in the readers mind.
Ismena and Onassis were the stars, and Nuno of course. I love a Yiayia and Ismena embodied everything about one.
I was glad to see all loose ends tied up in the epilogue, I am always glad when a book ties everything up nicely.
A quick, summer read perfect for light romance fans.

OMG a nice summer read with loads of gorgeous foods and Greek warmth.

I was a little sus about food and Greek food in particular when I picked this up because I'm half-Turkish half-Greek and food in our culture is BIG - and these characters trying to better those recipes.... well it was touch-and-go for a bit there! But overall it was delicious to read about these two characters passionate about food, and share in that passion together.

- 'work' summer in Greece (chef, learning different ways to cook)
- workplace romance (kinda)
- shared passions
> clean romance (meaning some kissing and tension, with spice-s*x- behind doors/off page) --- as a spicy reader, it would've been better to have on page spice!

Cute summer love story for those with love of the cullinary arts.

A sizzler! Mandy's books always transport you right to the heart of the place her stories are set and this one is no exception.
A light summer holiday read intermixed with emotion, sizzling romance and wonderful characters.

This is the eight book by Mandy that I have read and knowing how much Mandy loves Corfu and cooking I had no doubt that I would enjoy this book.
Lydia's dreams of being a chief have bitten the dust and instead of creating wonderful dishes and running her own restaurant she now has a job as a restaurant critic for Luxe Living. In the course of her job she is sent to Corfu to create a special edition specifically about the island. This is where she meets Thanos, a young chief and swiftly falls in love with his cooking, and (not so swiftly) with the chief himself.
Mandy's love of Greece and Greek food certainly shine through in this book. It is full of charming characters, top tips about hidden gems to find in Corfu and of course, romance.
Another perfect holiday read from Mandy.

I love reading a book about another culture. I loved the characters in this book and the way it portrays Greece. It really made me want to visit, all that talk about yummy food.

There were some very amusing moments in this book and I think my favourite Character would have to be Lydia because shes kind, adventurous and a little bit unsure of her abilities. She's very relatable.

I really enjoyed the off the cuff kind of cooking and doing what they wanted, good food speaks for itself and doesn't need the fanfare.

I really enjoy Mandy Baggott's writing style, it's a very easy going kind of read and it's just perfect for me. I've loved all the books of hers I've read.

When Lydia's sent to Corfu on an assignment, she's excited to see what culinary delights the island has to offer, but nothing seems to tickle her fancy - until she tastes the creations of local cook, Thanos Nicolaidis.

After one sizzling afternoon in the kitchen together, Lydia and Thanos both allow themselves to dream of the futures they desperately want. And as they grow closer, sharing secret ingredients and family recipes, Thanos begins to realise he has to show Lydia the parts of him he's done so well to hide...

Get ready for the hottest Greek meze on the menu as Lydia and Thanos discover that amid the sirtaki dancing and the smashing plates, they might just be cooking up their very own love story.

~~~ I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ~~~
A Taste of Greek Summer is the first book by Mandy Baggot that I've read and I really enjoyed it. This was a fun, romantic book following the budding relationship between Lydia and Thanos after meeting while Lydia is on a work trip to Corfu, Greece. Thanos is a chef, Lydia is/was a chef and now writes about food. The chemistry between them is very believable and compelling, and the setting sounds amazing! I wanted to read this book because I am taking a trip to Greece and some of the Greek Isles next month (though I won't be visiting Corfu unfortunately). Overall, this is a great summer-beach-read type of book. I look forward to reading more books by Mandy Baggot in the future.
