This is a very good summer read. I really wish that I had read this one on a beach somewhere. When I read this one it was raining outside. I loved the characters, I loved the setting, and I liked the plot. This is one that I did not think I was going to like that much. But ended up really liking. I would suggest this one.

A really enjoyable summer read filled with friendship, family and food. Set on Corfu which is so wonderfully described you can feel the author’s affection for the island,
Sun, sea, sand and … sumptuous cooking, all sizzle up a great feel-good romance, perfect for summer.

This is a great summer read the characters are likeable and the story is entertaining. By the end you will be googling flights to Corfu to sample for yourself the food, the idyllic scenery and to try and find your own Thanos!

Lydia and her friend Caroline both write for Luxe Living magazine and have came to Corfu for inspiration for a whole greek edition. While there Lydia meets Thanos a wonderful chef who restores her love of cooking and more.

I loved everything about this book. Mandy Bagggots books have added holidays in Greece to my bucket list. Her love for everything Greek just oozes through her books. This one is set in Corfu. Two friends who work for a magazine are searching authentic Greek experiences and authentic food to write feature articles.
Tonas is a Greek chef who crosses their path in various ways. He has an 80 year old neighbour who wants to enable his hopes to come true. I loved her character and the way she interfered.
You can just taste the dishes that are created and want to book a table at one of the pop up restuarants that sound amazing.
This was like taking a Greek holiday from your armchair.

I really loved this romantic, sexy read - a beautiful setting with fabulous food (made me want to go on holiday immediately!), this is a story of chasing your goals and your heart and laying the past to rest. Definitely one to take on your hols this summer!

I love Mandy Baggot, she writes fantastic light and happy reads, but not just your run of the mill cliche filled stories, these are full of heart and character, speaking of which this has a great cast of characters - Lydia and Thanos are both so wonderful , with issues and problems but that makes them more human to me. The community and family around them add so much more to the story too. As always well written, another lovely story made me smile, laugh, and left me happier than when I began.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have had a bit of a reading slump of late and this book has eased me out of it. I laughed, I cried, I swore (loudly) and I loved every minute of the book.

Lydia used to be a chef in a popular busy London restaurant, until something happened, and now she is a food writer on a magazine. Her friend and colleague (Caroline) is a lifestyle writer. Caroline manages to bag them a working holiday to Corfu where they need to combine lifestyle and food to come up with a special Greek edition of the magazine.

Join Lydia and Caroline as they experience Corfu and all it has to offer.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

When I saw the title of this book I knew i needed to get my hands on it immediately. There is just something so very magical about Greek vibes and summer time. This book definitely did not disappoint!

Not only did I ADORE Lydia but....I've also been to Corfu! I had no idea that's where they would end up in Greece but it was such an amazing surprise when I opened the book. It immediately helped me connect to this book. And then there is Thanos. He was was so supportive and sensitive to Lydia. He really helped her to reconnect with her love for cooking. Lydia in turn, helped him as she encouraged him to make a name for himself.

This book hit me exactly at just the right time and was what I needed in my heart. It was light but also heavy. Steamy but also sweet. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good summer read!

This lovely, clean romantic read is perfect for the summer. Mandy's descriptions of the area, scenery and food allow the reader to soak up the atmosphere of the island whilst enjoying a good story with realistic, interesting characters. Lydia's job as chef-turned-food-critic was completely believable and allowed readers to taste and savour their way through this unusual and superb beach read.

After a heartbreaking end to her burgeoning career as a chef, Lydia has reinvented herself as a food writer. As such, she travels to Corfu with lifestyle influencer Caroline, who is all about crisps and ouzo. The first time Lydia meets Thanos, she thinks he’s a server, not the talented chef whose food she’s eager to sample. But as she discovers his true identity, she also learns more about herself, her own past, and overcoming adversity to pursue her own destiny.

This is an evocative and transporting romance novel with an unforgettable setting and memorable characters. Too many extraneous details detract from the story a bit, but overall, it’s a fun escape. #MandyMonday #ATasteofGreekSummer #NetGalley

The story of Lydia and Thanos.

Lydia no longer cooks, only writes food reviews. On Corfu with friend and colleague Caroline, she meets Thanos when she eats at the restaurant he is cooking at. Next time they meet is a pop-up he is cooking at after losing his job. They start to spend more time together, but not everything is as it seems with her job and Thanos can't leave Corfu so where does that leave them?
Great setting and some great characters.

You can see yourself travelling round Corfu with all the sights described in the book and sampling the delights of the book.

Lydia writes for a magazine she is a reviewer for restaurants, her friend Caroline also writes for the magazine and they end in Corfu to write of things and experiences to do there. Lydia meets Thanos and there is a spark there, he works as a chef. Lydia hasn’t set foot in a kitchen since her old boss died and things came to a head.

It was a good book.

You know that it is almost Summer Holiday season when the new Mandy Baggot book lands on our bookstore shelves. Singlehandedly promoting Greek tourism her books have become the accompaniment to many a holiday break. In her newest book we are transported to the beautiful island of Corfu. Lydia Broom has been living her second best life. When her dreams of becoming a successful chef were thwarted she found herself a new career as a restaurant reviewer for Luxe Living, a high end magazine. It isn’t perfect but she still gets to dip into her passion for food.

With the magazine looking for a new direction Lydia and her colleague Caroline head over to the Greek island to plan an edition of Luxe Living dedicated to the pleasures to be found on Corfu. Caroline’s idea of culinary appreciation is adding extra chilli sauce to your gyro after more than a few local beers so Lydia has got her work cut out keeping everything on track.

Soon her path crosses with that of Thanos, the adonis of a chef who has created the most flavourful food she has tasted since her chef mentor Mario had died. Thanos’s passion for his craft really excites both her taste buds and her libido and soon Lydia is questioning the existence that she had created for herself. Perhaps it really is possible to have everything that you desire…

Lydia’s story is fun – and left me feeling quite hungry most evenings – but it didn’t quite grab me the way that most of the other books had. Perhaps I’m just not interested in the chef type – even if they are as as delicious as Thanos!

I really enjoyed this novel. The front cover gave the impression of just another one of those books you get free with a summer magazine but I was pleasantly surprised. Although the plot was more-or-less what you’d expect it was just a bit better. A well planned move, with a feel-good vibe. I’d recommend anyone who wants to enjoy a light read but NOT feel each line is just a bit cringe, lots of interesting references also.
