Mark Roe has written a very good book in which he argues that corporate emphasis on quarterly performance is not a negative feature of American business. In his very persuasive book Mr. Roe debunks the crowd that claims (often with little or no hard evidence) that the US stock market is made up of countless misguided investors. Instead, the author points out with almost endless statistics and data that the critics of "short-termism" are simply far off base. My lone criticism is that this book may contain too much data and too many contrary examples which may seem like over kill to a reader.
