I really, really enjoyed this book. Emily is running away after disaster strikes at work, desperately seeking her 93 year old fathers advise. What she finds when she arrives though is 24 year old Francoise who is apparently her fathers carer. She has no idea where she has come from or why she is there, but one thing Emily is sure of and that is the fact that Francoise is hiding something and she is going to find out what.

This is not what I expected, as in place of the thriller I was expecting, was a heartfelt novel filled with the very human reactions to grief and jealousy. Told from both Emily and Francoise's perspective, it provides an incredibly full narrative of events from both sides of the story which really draws the reader in.

Overall I loved it, and would definitely recommend for a great summer read.

This is a fairly light mystery, set in a gorgeous place and is a light read. The constant switches of POV are quite hard to navigate for some reason but it’s a nice novel

I love, love, love Jane Corry novels and this is no exception. Highly recommended and definitely worthy of more than 5 stars!!

Emily is a midwife who ends up being suspended from her job due to a mistake she made whilst in the delivery suite, a hearing ensues. She decides its time to go and visit her 93 year old dad and look after him. However when she gets back to her childhood home in Cornwall, she is faced with Francoise who apparently her dad hired as a carer to help look after him! It's clear from the outset that Emily and Francoise don't get on but what secrets are they both hiding? And why is Francoise being so friendly to Harold (Emily's dad) is she after money? That's what the villagers think! But Harold has secrets of his own! will he tell Emily or will she have to find out for herself? I

Many thanks to the publishers for letting me read a copy of this novel. Please Jane keep them coming!!!! Can't wait for your next one.

What us readers really crave is a story populated with 'real' people and a cracking good plot. Jane Cory delivers on both points

Emily, a midwife has her mind on her date, and her elderly father, when disaster strikes. While in shock she retreats to her childhood home only to find an interloper. Her father has engaged a French carer who seems to be ruling the roost.

This story has many sub-plots, all fascinating and engaging and peopled by a wide-range of intriguing characters.

This was a book that I couldn't wait to return to,.

I was totally hooked on this story right from the start! I really enjoyed it, full of intrigue and mystery, you never really know who to believe. I thought the story flowed well and I was interested in the characters. It’s written from the point of view of three of the characters, although one of them is set in the past. I recommend this book, thank you #netgalley

This book was a fantastic read, not that I expected anything less from Jane Corry.
The book begins with the author introducing us to Emily, a midwife, who appears to have a “disaster” at work, for which she must face a disciplinary hearing.
Whilst on a break from work, she returns home to her 93 year old father, but she is also greeted by his new French carer, Francoise.
From the moment they meet, there is clear tension and a real atmosphere, but at the beginning it is unclear why!
The book is split into five parts, each one being told from a different perspective
Both of these have something to hide, but which one will get found out first?
The book was a very strong read, with the author dropping clues in the book as to who was hiding what
I really enjoyed the way the book came together at the end.
This was not my favourite of the author, Blood Sisters is still the top contender, but I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down
Thank you to the publisher for a gifted copy

This book follows Emily as her life completely changes when she is suddenly suspended from her job as a midwife, due to a mistake she may have made in the delivery suite.

Whilst she is on her suspension, she is desperate to get away, so she returns to her hometown to see her dad and help look after him.

When she arrives, she is shocked to find he already has employed a carer named Francois. Emily starts to have suspicions about why Francois is staying around.

When she meets up with an ex-boyfriend she wonders if there is still anything between them, but then she has her doubts on whether she can trust him.

What secrets will Emily uncover? Will Francois also uncover secrets about Emily?

This book is split into several parts and is told by the points of view of Emily and Francois. This helps get the background of both the characters, but also adds to the confusion about who is actually telling the truth.

I did find myself wondering where everything was leading which kept me reading and interested.

I liked the added storyline of Emily bumping into her ex too as I felt it lightened the mood a bit in some parts.

Overall, a domestic thriller with plenty of secrets but who is telling the truth?

I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.

Thanks to Jane and NetGalley for allowing me to read We All Have Our Secrets before the publication date.

Jane has spun a tale which started more than 70 years earlier and which has impacted on the lives of each of the characters in the story.

A midwife on a busy, understaffed ward, Emily makes a mistake.
Now she returns to her home in a small Cornish Village.

She is shocked to find that although she has spoken with him daily, her 93 year old father George has changed dramatically since her last visit.
A retired lawyer, George has always been difficult to work with, charming one minute and cantankerous the next.
As a result, no-one in the village is prepared to work for him.

Now a young woman, Francoise, has moved in as his carer and it is not long before there is friction between the 2 women.
Emily is concerned that Francoise is there to take as much from George as she can get and Francoise seems to gloat in flaunting the gifts which George has given her.

As George’s condition deteriorates, the issues spiral out of control.

Will the truth be revealed and what will be the consequences when the secrets are revealed?

Emily returns to her family home in Cornwall after a problem at work to find that a young French woman has been hired as a carer by her 96 year old father. Told by the two women in turn, with flashbacks from a different character to wartime France, the two women prove suspicious of each other for different reasons. Well constructed and fast paced, this is an absorbing tale of family secrets, sacrificed happiness and the complexity of parent-child relationships. A thoroughly satisfying and entertaining page turner.

Another enjoyable easy read from author Jane Corry. Explores a family relationship and trust issues arising from deception on all sides leading to much tension. Who is telling the truth??? Recommended read.

The is a suspense story which evolves into an exploration of the relationship between two women, both of whom care for Harold, a second world war veteran whose experiences have shaped his moods and mental health. Daughter Emily, escaping problems at work, arrives at her childhood home to find her father being cared for by a young French woman, Francoise. Initially the two are at odds with each other over Harold and it is impossible to tell who is in the right and the truth behind the lies that are being told. Into the story steps Nick, Harold's lawyer and Emily's teenage boyfriend, who is also hiding secrets about the past. As the history behind the situation emerges, both women are forced to face their demons. This is a cleverly written story where virtually nothing is as it seems right until the end. There are moments of warmth and happiness, as well as suspicion and confrontation,. which keep the reader guessing. A first class read; perfect for the summer holidays.

I have read a few of Jane Corry's novels and I really enjoyed them so I was super excited to be accepted to read We All Have Our Secrets.

We meet disgraced midwife Emily who is suspended from her role do a mistake that she has made. She decides to head to her elderly father house to try and get some sort of respite. When knocking at the door, it is opened by a lady called Françoise, who she is told that she is her father's carer.

Both women do not get on at from the very first instance and when Emily's father passes away then this opens up a major can of worms.

The characters really start to become unravelled and it made for an entertaining read. I do not think that this is Jane Corrys best novel but it was still worth the read.

Thanks to Net Galley, Jane Corry and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

A strong 3.5 stars for me… I liked the start and how it launches straight in with Emily, but it was a bit of a slow burn after that.. maybe I’m impatient as it did get going however at a very steady pace, twists and an unexpected ending.

I have read other books by this author, this one wasn’t as gripping as the previous ones however a great plot.

Thanks to netgalley & the publisher for a digital ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I loved this! Very good plot and well written characters. I wasn't sure who to believe most of the way through. The ending was spectacular as well.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it however if you haven’t read any Jane Corry she has some bloody amazing other books out there.
This book had good characters and a readable plot however this wasn’t quite the ‘unputdownable’ book filled with suspense that I’ve read before.

Omg what a read. Nothing is what it seems in this book. Who is telling the truth and more importantly what is the truth???. I loved this book , the characters were so believable and well fleshed out. The story was intriguing and far from predictable. Heartbraking, gripping and so good. I devoured this book in one sitting and finally turned the last page in the wee hours. Yes this book is that good. Packed with misdirection and revelations. Almost five stars.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.
