couldn’t get past 30%. unfortunately, the story is shallow and utterly boring. there is simply no way this brings joy to someone

Morgan is called upon to address a public relations crisis following a scandal. In an effort to assist Walker with his predicament, Morgan assumes the role of his girlfriend. The characters are expertly developed, and the narrative unfolds seamlessly. I really enjoyed the book.

This one was okay, but there were a few parts that just didn't sit well with me. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC in exchange for review.

This was a totally cute insta-love, fake dating, office romance book that was easy to read and easy to enjoy! I loved the billionaire plot, and the fake dating!
However, there were many parts of this book that I felt were extraneous and not necessary to move the plot forward. So many lines of dialogue were not helpful, and made the story drag. I also felt like the story was one that has been done before. While reading it, I felt like it was a book that I had already read before. I liked the characters, I liked the idea of the story (because I love Billionaire romances, and I love fake dating plots-when done well), but when rehashed again, it kind of feels like "yeah, alright, been there, done that, let's finish this up and move on to other more exciting books."

Another thing that I thought was weird was that there was such scandal surrounding the baby out of wedlock. This is 2022, and many people choose to have children and not be married, it is not quite the scandal some make it out to be. Heck, I could name a certain celebrity who has a dozen children out of wedlock, and it wasn't until about baby 8 that people started to even comment. Because no one cared what that person did with their sperm. Just like no one cares here what this person did with theirs.

Another thing that kind of bothered me was the frontloading of the world-building. When there are so many names and dates and places thrown at you all at once, they are kind of all the same. Especially when you don't give your characters "and eye patch and a peg leg" (Save the Cat reference). That is to say, none of the characters were unique enough to keep them straight in my head, and that was tough.

Even with all of my complaints, this book was average, and I didn't hate it enough to quit. It was a quick, easy read and I plowed right through it! Hopefully Stowe will write more in the future, and fingers crossed for the best for her.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the free copy in exchange for a review.

This book was really cute and it would be perfect for readers who wanted to get into the romance genre. I loved the main characters they were both so much fun to follow and realistic characters. Morgan was such a strong character and I loved her drive and her personality. Walker was the perfect fake boyfriend and I really loved reading his POV to get some insight into his mind. The slowest thing about this book was the begging, I thought it dragged getting the two characters into a fake relationship, and the begging of the fake relationship seem forced to me

Overall I thought this book was super sweet and I really loved reading it!

Complementary copy provided by NetGalley and publisher for my honest review and opinion. This was an "edge of my seat" and "oh no he didn't" romance. Don't get too comfortable with what you think transpired, but great love emerges from the turmoil.

I had really high hopes for this one because who doesn't enjoy reading a romance book with a main character that is a billionarie?

Unfortunately this book was just an okey read and didn't lived up to my high hopes and perhaps that is because I can't let go of the books Blackmail and The Fine Print which both includes a billionarie boss.

The writing altough was good and easy to understand for those who doesn't have English as their first language.

If you like reading romance books with billionaries in then this could be a book for you. Do you find the description of the book intresting and the cover is to your liking then try it out 🙂

Actually a 2,5 stars.

This was my first time reading a book by this author. I was pleasantly surprised with her writing.

The story was sweet, emotional and heart wrenching at the end.

If you need a light, heartwarming story you won’t go wrong by reading Ashley Sands “The Billionaire Chairman”.

I look forward to reading the next Bennett book.

This book was a quick read but didn't really stand out to me. I had some issues with the plot, things were added to it that made no sense to the story. The characters could have been improved as well. It wasn't a terrible book but it could have been better. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy.

I was very excited to start this book, but throughout reading, I quickly felt the opposite. I felt there were too many contradictions with the characters. They quickly went from the first day saying: Let's keep this professional to the very next day doing more than flirting. Which leads me into my next issue. Everything between them felt very very rushed. With having 513 pages, you'd think the characters would take their time to fall in love. It was way too fast for me when Walker went from: I don't date nor look at employees to I'm going to make her mine just because were fake dating. I would've understood it more if it took some time for him to break such a rule (because he's meant to be the one to do things by the book etc), but as I stated earlier, he broke it the very next day.

Another thing that bothered me was that certain characters were supposed to know certain things, but in the very next scenes with them, they didn't. For example, the father was the one who pushed Morgan at Walker, Walker tells her not to tell his father about it, but she never tells him it was his idea?? Which is also a bit conflicting with her anger at the end. But I'll say that for later. Also, Morgan said she'd fill his brother in on their situation, so there wouldn't be a misunderstanding. He and Walker even spoke about it, only for him to come and grill him the next day as if he didn't know. Walker even called him on it and that made me feel like it was where the writer remembered they'd mentioned it earlier and just threw it in to try and cover plot holes.

It was not pleasant trudging through those scenarios.

The last thing I'll say was the conflict that threw them together was never truly present.
Also, for me, it was obvious with the opening what was going on, so the reveal was lackluster. So was their quick breakup over it. Esp since his dad told her to fake date him in the first place and she never mentioned it to Walker. Everything was just too fast and didn't hit the right spots for me. I really wanted to like this book. I'm sad I didn't.

Walker was likeable though, but that wasn't enough to save the story for me.

Why is it a chairman? I’m so confused as to what this word has to do with any of the story. The MC is a ceo… the FMC is a PR employee. There IS NO CHAIRMaN.

Anyway, besides that annoyance, this story was a quick read with its cute plot. It has a tiny bit of fake dating and slight insta love. I would have rather there been more tension, maybe some banter between them.

Anyway, 3.5 out of 5. Decent spice scenes, decent writing, just lacking the tension of a plot. In all honesty, I’m more interested in reading Bailey’s story now.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I’m sad to say that I have mixed feelings about this book. While I like the premise of the story and the approach it took to a lot of tropes it didn’t reach its full potential.

Throughout the whole book it felt like we were being told and not shown what was happening, in and almost analytical and disjointed way.

That being said, I can honestly say that it may have turned me around on my previous thoughts of the fake dating trope because of its unique take.

Characters 4/5
Setting 3/5
Premise 4/5
Execution 2/5

Overall 3/5

After Walker gets roped into a big scandal, Morgan and Walker decide to start a fake-relationship to help improve Walkers image. While they start as a fake couple, they quickly fall in love with each other.

The characters were respectable and it was nice to read about the relationship between Walker and his brothers. I loved Morgan with her down to earth, strong and savvy personality. Unfortunately, there wasn't much character development and the reason they started a fake relationship was a bit far-fetched too.

I did enjoy reading The Billionaire Chairman and finished it quickly.

While I enjoyed the overall premise of this book, I do feel that the execution was lacking. The story itself was cute and had some good steamy scenes, but grammatical errors and odd phrasing detracted from the reading experience. I do feel that with some editing, this story will fit well in the billionaire boss romance subsection. The characters were lovable and the possibility for a bunch of interconnected stand-alones is definitely there.

I found it hard to care much, because the characters lack character development and character at all. Their chemistry were nonexistent and too insta-lovey for my taste. What Remy did i found just plain wierd and awkward.

This book was enjoyable. A romance with a billionaire usually is! The characters were lovable., but like other reviews mention, it did seem a little rushed. I would have liked some more buildup to see more of the chemistry between them. I would recommend though because it is enjoyable and easy to read.

This was a quick read and a decent book. At times I had trouble following the dialogue. My biggest concern with the plot is that the major problem doesn’t happen until 90% into the book. There is a lot of good character development but it tends to drag out when all I really wanted was some good plot points.

Unfortunately, I did end up having to DNF this book 50% through it.

Now, I don't DNF books very often, and usually, I will just power through them so that I have more to talk about in my review. However, with this book, the dialogue was written in a way I could just not bring myself to continue reading. It felt very formulaic, one character would say something and the next sentence would be a response to that. And this is fine if it's not the structure of every discussion in this book.

There was either too much use of dialogue tags or none at all throughout the chapters and this really made the conversations between characters hard to follow and it made me want to skip them even though I know they are integral to the book. I understand that this is an ARC and not a final copy, but a lot of these conversations could have been edited out.

There were also several chapters where I felt that the chapter could have been erased from the book and it would still be readable, which is a sign that the chapter didn't need to be there in the first place.

The setting of this book was also a little unbelievable as well. Now, I do understand that this is fiction so not everything resembles the real world, but this book is set in 2022 I believe, so it's hard to believe that somebody being accused of having a baby out of wedlock is a huge PR issue for a company that sells liquor of all things. I mean, look at all of these celebrities that we idolize, some of them have 2 children or more with different women and we don't really think of it as that big of a deal right? So why would it be this big scandal for a man to get a woman pregnant on a one night stand, even if he's well known?

There was also a lot of worldbuilding and backstory packed in at the very beginning that made it very hard to keep my focus in the book, which is critical in the start of story. There was almost an entire chapter dedicated to Walker and Mac's relationship on the third chapter and this made it hard to remember that this is supposed to be a romance book.

Also, there was way too much time spent with Walker's father, Remy, he was in the prologue of the book as well as having multiple chapters dedicated to him and honestly it got kind of tiresome. This is supposed to be a fake dating romance between Morgan and Walker, so almost every chapter after the introductions should have an interaction between them at some point. There was an inappropriate comment made to Morgan from Remy at the beginning of the book that really didn't sit right to me, and to my knowledge it wasn't resolved or brought up again, which is concerning.

Again, I did dnf this book halfway through so take this review with a grain of salt, Usually I'm really into fake dating and billionaire romances but maybe this is just not in my wheelhouse right now. Since I did not finish it, I will give this book and obligatory 3 stars.

Public Relationships Representative Helps The CEO Billionaire
Walker is a billionaire and he is set to be the CEO of Bennett Liquors. Morgan works for Walker and he is very much attracted to her but hasn’t acted on his attraction because she is his employee working PR for the company. Walker’s father Remy wants his boy to settle down, get married and start families. A scandal arises with Walker and Morgan gets tasked with improving Walker’s image. Walker and Morgan agree to a fake date with a fake relationship. Fake relationships have a way turning into the real thing.

Can Morgan improve Walker’s image or has Walker and Morgan bargained for more than they can handle, will the relationship go from fake to real, will it make his Walker’s father Remy happy?
