Wicked Beauty's preview had me wondering if I could expect more action and adventure in this installment of the series than the previous ones. It obviously had me intrigued by the romance, but I am also rooting for Helen in this competition. Hooked already!

5 chapters is such a tease!! I need more ASAP! Wicked Beauty promises to be just another great addition to this series. How can it not with Helen? Achilles and Patroclus? And so many other mythology figures that are on the page. This story promises excitement and lots of steamy romance. With the title of Ares up for grabs everyone is invited to compete. Achilles has wanted the title since forever and with Patroclus on his side, he will surely win. As for Helen, she sees the title as freedom. But her plan to sign up halts when her brother announces that whoever wins will gain Helen as a wife, to her horror. But that won’t stop her. She’ll fight for her own hand. Can’t wait for this story!

I am loving this series - the complex world built for modern Olympus is phenomenal. I devoured this teaser, what an act of self torture. Now I have to wait for the rest!

**Thank you to NetGalley for this preview**

I'm beyond excited to read this story. I've become highly addicted to Katee Robert's retellings and the sneak peek I just read is no different.
I can't wait to get more of the story between Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles.
The tension between their relationships is something very interesting with many layers and I'm looking forward to seeing it unfold.
Bring on June 7th!

Welcome to the Triwizard tournament… oh wait, my bad, wrong book. The Hunger Games? Closer, but that’s not it either. Welcome to the cutthroat competition to become the next member of The Thirteen in Olympus. The position of Ares is open and it’s drawn all the wannabe power players. To add to the draw and help unite a fractured Thirteen, Zeus has made his sister Helen the prize in addition to this position of power. Only problem is Helen has no intention of being made a pawn in Olympus and Zeus’s power games, plus she planned on competing for the position herself. It means going against her family’s wishes and competing against her old childhood friend Patroclus and his boyfriend Achilles.

I would do bad, bad things to get my hands on this book beyond the first five chapters. This is a complete tease, setting us up for a hell of a book. I’m dying to see more of Achilles and Patroclus, their competition and relationship with Helen, and how Callisto as the new Hera will factor into the dynamic.

This series is SO good - especially since I'm a huge fan of Greek mythology! I really enjoyed Neon Gods and Electric Idol, and the first five chapters of Wicked Beauty really drew me in. The third instalment of this series follows Helen as she decides to compete in a tournament to decide the next Ares... and I can feel the love triangle brewing with Achilles and Patroclus. PLUS I can't wait to see more of Callisto - I really hope she's featured more in this book.

I cannot wait to read the rest of this book. June 07 needs to come faster!

Courtesy of Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgallery for allowing me to preview this book.

Maybe it is because I am not a big mythology fan, but I really loved this. I found myself stopping and searching the backgrounds of almost every character mentioned and I could not be more excited to read the full version of this in June.

Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus have my whole heart and the potential of their relationship draws me in so much. I loved how Robert crafted the family tree and I'm interested in seeing who the victor will be for the role of Ares.

Such a captivating read. Highly recommend!

I knew it was going to be good but now I CANNOT wait for the rest of this book to come out!! If the first three chapters are anything to go off of it’s going to be another home run for the Dark Olympus series!

While I have enjoyed the series thus far, this first five chapters of Wicked Beauty alone makes it the stand out. The romance and the plot are already upped to an eleven.

I did not read Neon Gods because Persephone + Hades makes me uncomfy. But THIS?? Helen + Patroclus + Achilles?! Dear god. I finished reading this sample and immediately preordered. Absolutely cannot wait for the full book.

This is such a good preview! I was enthralled with it already! Can’t wait to read the whole thing! Is it June already?!

I’m so looking forward to this book! Although I was expecting another book about the sisters (maybe Callisto?), I’m all for this premise! Not that Persephone and Psyche weren’t strong women, but having Helen fight to prevent a marriage she doesn’t want adds a whole new element! Plus, we get BOTH Achilles and Patroclus? Also shoutout to Katee Robert for the quick turnaround on books - always appreciated.

After the first two books in the Dark Olympus series I was so excited to see Katee mix up the relationship dynamics in the third installment. The premise is so smart and interesting. Just through the brief introduction, I can already tell the chemistry between our leading trio is palpable. I was also LIVING for the Callisto scene, I hope we are able to see her challenging the convention of the 13 more throughout the series.

I was given the opportunity to read the first five chapters of Wicked Beauty and I am hooked. If you have read the first two novels in this series, Neon Gods and Electric Idol, you will recognize several of the characters mentioned. However, reading her other novels isn't necessary to undersyand and appreciate this one. I loved the drama and tension that builds within the first few chapters and the solid character building that is a signature of Katee Roberts. I truly can not wait to read the full novel in June 2022!

I immediately requested this when I saw that there was a preview for one of Katee Robert’s books since I haven’t been granted any of her previous books as ARCs, so I though this was a great opportunity. This preview offers us the first five chapters of Wicked Beauty, another greek-mythology inspired story, this one centered around Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus. The glimpse into this story was very interesting and caught my attention as to what to expect for the rest of the book.

Though this was just a sampler of Katee's story, I am already hooked and am craving more! The Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles dynamic is amazing already, June needs to hurry up and get here!

UM YES! I need the rest of this immediately! The Helen, Patroclus, and Achilles dynamic is so good already. I can't wait for June!

Katee Robert's Greek mythology retellings keep getting better and better.

So I've tried more than once to get a Katee Robert book from NetGalley to no avail, so imagine my surprise when I could read this sneak preview immediately. And holy cow! I am excited for this one! This was such a steamy tease! Especially the last three pages OMG.

This was just a preview and I WANT MORE.

What I'm finding I love about the series is that the POVs are all very distinct--Helen is different from Psyche who is different from Persephone. They have their own goals and motivations and different pressures that they are dealing with.

I can't wait to read the full and see how Helen fights and (hopefully) becomes Ares, establishing a place of power of her own. But also the mmf of it all
