Great preview! Aries' position is vacant at the moment among the elusive Thirteen that rule the city and many are vying to claim the power that comes with it. Helen, daughter of Zeus, is one of them. She wants to get out from under her brother's thumb by competing in the trials for Aries. However, her brother puts her in a tough spot by announcing to all the contenders that Helen will be the prize. Whoever wins not only becomes Aries but will marry Helen.

Wicked Beauty is already giving me lots of Hunger Games and Brave vibes. Helen seems like the female main character who will fight for her own hand and I'm here for it. I'm curious to see how her relationship with fellow champion Achilles and former friend Patroclus will bloom.

I was beyond excited to read a preview of this book from NETGALLEY. I have always loved mythology so I knew it would be in my field house. After reading the preview, this is now my most anticipated book of this year! It is a retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus and I cannot wait to read the story in its entirety!

This was my first time reading a Katee Robert novel, and while she’s very skilled at utilizing words to create dynamic characters and worlds, I’m not sure I would read another. Don’t get me wrong - I know she’s skilled and good at what she does, it’s just not the particular flavor that I’m looking for.

Cannot wait to read the full version of this book. I liked Helen a lot in Electric Idol and I can already tell I'm going to love her more. This book is bringing on the spice big time, and the preview is leaving me wanting more. There's going to be more politics and power moves and most importantly so much steam. Can't wait to read the full thing!

Great introduction! I love Katee's writing style and I have loved following the Dark Olympus Series thus far. I enjoyed the way everything was set up, and that we're starting to see more of The Thirteen outside of the Dimitriou family.

I want to say thank you to the author, publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to review this ARC with honesty. (Disclaimer: This is only towards a Preview of the first 5 chapters. I have not read the entirety of this book.)

Also to clarify, I haven't quite finished reading the two previous books in this world but that being said, it wasn't all that confusing to jump in without the previous knowledge.

This takes place around the Greek Gods mythologies (loosely) as many liberties were taken in order to build the story into the plot the author was going for. From what I gathered, the original 13 Gods are either dying or retiring and so replacements take their place as the "new" Zeus or Hera.

Enter Helen who wishes to take on the role of Ares in order to find her place in this world of power and scandals. Her brother - the new Zeus - has created a competition that others will throw their name into and only one victor will be able take on the mighty name - Ares.

The only problem? Perseus "Zeus" has complicated things a bit by creating her as the prize along with the title. So what's a girl to do? Why compete for her own hand!

I found Helen interesting because she seems to be the celebrity who always seems to find trouble. Or more specifically, she always seems to be in trouble. So to find a way to out of the bad light of her past, she wants to prove herself worthy and take her place within the royalty of the 13 Gods and Goddesses.

Achilles and Patroclus both enter the competition with a game plan to make sure Achilles wins at all costs. The only problem? Helen seems to be making the game a bit difficult. Achilles find her attractive. Hell, even Patroclus does and they're in a relationship which seems to cause a jealously to rise in the man.

The air of a trio - relationship is almost certainly screaming off the pages and I'm finding it compelling enough to keep reading *pre-order already in* this trio's adventures together.

This isn't my favorite from the author but that doesn't stop me from being entertained by it by a long shot. I will update this review once I get my hands on the finished copy.

Katee Robert did it again.
I liked Wicked Beauty because it was dazzling, sexy, and everything I didn't know I needed.
Achilles, Patroclus, and Hellen make a stunning triad, one that only Robert could come up with. I'm totally into the Dark Olympus series, and I'm reading everything that comes from it.

5 chapters is too short! I need to finish this! I want more! If you're a fan of the first 2 books of the Dark Olympus Series (Neon Gods, Electric Idol) then you should definitely check this out!

There was so much already packed in this taste, I'm hungry for more. I'm already a big fan of Katee Robert and the Dark Olympus series. This new entry is taking it to the next level. I like Helen when I met her in Electric Idol but now getting to know her and her ambitions is a great turn in the series. I can't wait for this book to come out.

Alright, third book in the Dark Olympus series. This is Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus this time. I loved the multiple tropes that can be found in this one; and its Katee Robert. Hello! We all know it’s going to be hot and spicy, and Gods this one was.
But I absolutely loved the message in this one especially for women and young girls about being powerful and strong. The writing, details, and emotions are always on point for Robert, and she left a really good cliffhanger for something to come. I am really excited for the next books.

This is either going to be people's favorite book or least favorite book of the series. Unfortunately I fell into the latter. There is definitely more of a plot, but because of that, I think the romance suffers a little. I wanted more from the poly relationship, and some of their conflict felt too young, and almost YA in its angst. Still love these books, but Hades and Persephone will remain my favorite

Because this was Katee Roberts and I am a fan, I had to get this preview! Anything by her is a must read! Just good!

Katee Roberts is an amazing author, there's so other way to say ti. every book i've read by her has been magic. This preview was no different. Amazing plot line.

I was so so excited to be able to read the first few chapters of this book! I already know that the spice is going to be top-notch! This was a fantastic insight of what’s to come in book 3 of the Dark Olympus series and what a way to tickle my taste buds! I’ll definitely be reading the whole book, that’s for sure!
