Wicked Beauty is the third book in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series. The story follows Helen who is looking to free herself from her family and become the next Ares. But when the night comes to join the competition to fight to become Ares, her brother, Zeus, makes her the prize.

Even though I was only allowed access to the first five chapters, I must say that this book is really good. So far the plot is very well developed and the world-building is descriptive enough to leave you engaged and not bored. I really enjoyed how the main characters were written, especially how Helen is perceived to be this spoiled women but really its all a cover so she can blend in to the high society that is Olympus. I also enjoyed how there are two love interest Achilles and Patroclus, who are in a relationship with each other, and how both are attracted to Helen but will do anything to put each other first. So, it will be interesting to see how everything will play out with the three of them.

The books pace is good, it flowed nicely and in 5 chapters I understood the main concepts of the book, who the main characters were and their personalities, and how their world operates. Overall, I am interested in continuing this story and can’t wait to see what happens next!

I’m beyond excited to read the full version of the Wicked Beauty when it’s released. These first five chapters already have me hooked and I’m desperate to finish this story as the Olympian series continues.

This is a free spoiler review and since I only read the first 5 chapters it won't contain any major detail about the book. For the same reason I'm rating this book 4 stars for now, but when I get to read it completely the rating may change.
Now, how I felt about this preview? Personally I love retellings and I adore Katee Robert as a writer and how she experiments with all of this old stories and gives them her own style. I also love greek mythology so it isn't more obvious I can't wait to read the rest of the book, the first chapters have definitely catch my attention and I'm so curious to know what happens with Helen, Patroclus and Achilles and all of this universe that the dark olympus series has built it up till now.

Very excited to see how this book ends!

Katee Robert does it again!! I was hooked from the get go, and really really want more of this story!!! Loved it from the first word to the last!

I was so happy to receive this sample of the third book in the Dark Olympus series as I loved the first two books. This new installment, judging by this short preview, is shaping up to be no exception. I enjoy this mythology inspired urban fantasy world, varied characters and interesting plot lines I can’t wait to read more of!

I was given an ARC sample of the first few chapters, and let me tell you. YES. 100% yes. I cannot wait for the rest of this book!

This entire series is so good. I can't wait until the full book comes out! I think Helen is going to be one of my favorite characters and I can't wait to buy this one too. Katee has a tone of voice that makes it easy to picture the characters talking directly to the reader.

I absolutely love Katee Robert and will read anything she writes. I got hooked on Neon Gods and love this series, and the preview for her newest book did not disappoint! I hope I love this one as much as I loved Neon Gods and Electric Idol!

I am not doing a full review due to this just being a preview, but what I will say is the fact that I am eternally excited for this book to be in my hands. This series has been a lot of fun and I have full confidence that this will continue within Wicked Beauty. Katee Robert has a way with her characters that makes me love them from the first page.

This preview, being the only one of Katee Robert's books that I've read, makes me very excited for the world of Olympia and its characters. The modern twist to well known mythological characters adds humor and fun in a way that is extremely readable, especially if like me, you devoured the mythology section of your local library at a young age. Throw in some sexy steamy scenes within this modern mythic context, and you have yourself the perfect reimagining for an adult rated guilty pleasure read!

Gahhhhhh!!! I’m so excited. This teaser wasn’t NEARLY enough. This book is going to be so good. The premise of Helen being a badass trying to fight for her own destiny? So here for it.

I downloaded the preview by mistake, I’m not normally into them, but now I’m really intrigued. The author writes pretty clearly, it wasn’t hard for me to keep track of who became who and what was going on.

Also, I’ve been avoiding the Neon Gods book, but I was clearly wrong to! So now I’m going to read that and work my way up to this one!

After reading this preview I'm looking forward to reading more. I previously have read some of Katee Robert's work and she's not afraid to push the boundaries. I am a lover of greek mythology so this is definitely a book that I will be reading. I can't wait to read the rest of the story.

Very Katee Robert-esque. Same format as Neon Gods... could be an interesting story though for sure! I'm intrigued to read more but am afraid I'll be let down as I have been with her other books.

I was expecting nothing less from Katee Robert.
Already a fan of her books, ever since I read ''Desperate Measures'' for my book club.
Her characters are great and well written.
Her descriptions of everything, from what they see to how they feel, and of course, the more intimate scenes are just amazing.
I put 4 stars, only because I got just the first 5 chapters, but I honestly believe that the story of Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus will be one of her best works yet.

Katee Robert does a great job taking Greek mythology and making it something completely new and fun. If you're a fan of Greek mythology, this is for you!

I love the multiple points of view, and after the first 5 chapters I'm very interested in where this competition is going to go! If you were a fan of Neon Gods and Electric Idol, I have a feeling you'll love this too.
