I am so glad that this toolkit was put together. The information was easy to digest and implement. As someone who is new to professional book reviewing and Bookstagram, it's easy to become overwhelmed by all of the information out there, and the pressure to give a concise yet impactful review. This toolkit makes book advocacy easy without adding to my overwhelm.

Part of what I loved the most was the links to helpful information about using all current platforms (Instagram, TikTok and YouTube), photography tutorials, and Canva tutorials. I look forward to checking out the other toolkits on NetGalley. Thank you!

Love the in depth 101 we get into NetGalley!! When I first joined I wasn’t entirely sure how the website worked and this makes it super easy for new users.

This is such an awesome toolkit! As someone who is trying to get started with reviewing books through different mediums, this was so helpful to have to guide me. It has suggestions for how to write reviews, how to interact with the different bookish social media platforms and strategies for creating posts and content. So glad I downloaded this!

I have to admit: I wasn’t expecting this little toolkit to be as helpful as it was. You don’t even have to be a book advocate to make use of the great tips on offer here - any influencer hopeful will find information that will help them succeed.

The book offers a wide range of advice no matter your chosen social media platform(s) and explains the ins and outs of book advocacy in a way that is simple and easy to understand. I especially liked the Canva page that linked to an article with tutorials. I don’t feel so overwhelmed at the idea of trying the app anymore!

One of the most helpful and encouraging sections for me personally was the one about reviewer’s block. I sometimes struggle with finding the right words when it comes to reviewing a book I absolutely adore. My feelings are so intense, it’s hard to get them out in a way I feel does those books justice. After reading through the advice, I feel better equipped to give the books I love the glowing reviews they deserve.

This was super helpful, I thought it would just walk me through the basics of NetGalley, but it also had a bunch of helpful tips for starting a bookstagram, booktube channel or presence on other social platforms. It was very concise and to the point

I did not know NetGalley published a toolkit until I received an email on the book journal published this year. I enjoyed reading it. The Advocate Toolkit is helpful and insightful even for me who has been in the book review world for almost a decade. I haven't checked if the toolkit is available outside the NetGalley website but I hope it is so non-NetGalley members can access it. Honestly, it is good marketing material to promote the platform.

It was helpful to read through these tips! I liked the format and design of the pages as well. Not all of the information was applicable to me and my account but it was easy to navigate what information would help me and what I could skip over.
