This was very helpful since I just finished my first ARC item that I received to help me know best tips and tricks for reviewing and depending on the type of review I was doing. It was very detailed and went over many different review options. I very much appreciate that these types of aids are available for people who and newer to this or people who are seasoned veterans at this.

I was worried while signing up for NetGalley and becoming a member - since I had no idea how to navigate the process for requesting ARCs and book reviewing. I didn't know if I was doing things "properly" until I read the NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit.

The toolkit showcased various ways of reviewing books along with tips on how to succeed on certain platforms. The platforms I regularly use for book content consist of TikTok, YouTube, Goodreads and Instagram. I paid more attention to those sections of the digital book but the toolkit does go into details about other platforms. The content and writing was easily digestible despite the amount of content given. If you're to read this, I would set aside some time so you can read this toolkit in its entirety.

Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish for granting access to a digital copy of this toolkit.

As an avid reader and a new member of NetGalley, I looked for ways to enhance my book reviewing skills and social media presence. The NetGalley Toolkit has been an indispensable resource in this journey. It's a well-structured guide that caters to both beginners and experienced members who aim to take their book advocacy with NetGalley to the next level.

The toolkit includes practical guidelines for creating a standout member profile, which is the cornerstone of anyone’s presence on NetGalley. It then delves into maintaining a strong Feedback Ratio, which is a critical aspect that reflects one's commitment to the community.

I found the section on crafting book reviews very helpful. The toolkit provides tips for writing compelling reviews, including how to handle the delicate task of writing critical feedback without discouraging potential readers.

The toolkit even extends its reach to help you thrive on social media suggesting ways for creating engaging content and sharing reviews that are practical and easy to implement, making it a breeze to connect with book lovers and authors.

I think this is a great, straightforward tool for bookworms like myself. It’s pretty and digestible, and covers off the important aspects of book reviewing as an ARC reader and in general.

It’s short and to the point, but I don’t think it needs to be more than that. I really appreciated the call out to not tag authors in negative reviews, but I also think that not every review needs to be super lengthy, particularly if you feel very moderately about a book. However, I think the tips in this book would be really valuable for someone just starting out their book reviewing journey.

Thank you to NetGallery and We Are Bookish for granting me access to a digital copy of this great resource.

Thank you Netgalley for this copy, it was such a huge help with my ARC reading journey!! I put off ARC reading for months because I wasn’t sure how to do it or if I could. This book helped me gain confidence after I finally took the plunge and signed up:)
