The resource is constantly being updated, and provides enough guidance, in order to help with requesting, promoting, and simply using NetGalley.

There are some good tips in this toolkit that I thought were helpful. I especially liked the book review and bookstagram tips. I also liked the advice on how to keep up your feedback ratio (something I struggle with since I tend to go on request sprees!). This is a useful toolkit to keep on hand.

This is an excellent intro to NetGalley! The info is presented in a digestible format with cute graphics. For more complex topics (best practices for writing a critical review, for example), it’s convenient to simply click an embedded link and be taken to a more comprehensive blog post on that specific topic. This toolkit answered all of my initial questions and more.

Really appreciate this quick, simple resource from NetGalley's We Are Bookish team and know I'll be referencing this again in the future when I want a getting-back-to-basics refresh.

This is a lot more helpful than I originally expected. There’s plenty of tips and tricks & dos and don’ts to be aware of. There’s even tips to help you post successfully for each individual social media platform, so you can make good content no matter which platform you share on. Highly recommend for anyone who is exploring Netgalley or even just posting their book content on social media.

This is a great tool for both those who are new to NetGalley and/or book reviews in exchange for copies of books as well as having helpful tips and refreshers for those of us who have done this type of thing before!

I hadn't really explored many of the newer social media avenues for sharing book reviews such as Booktube and BookTok and I found the tips in the second half of the guide extremely helpful for someone looking to expand the areas in which I can share about the lovely books I am reading and am lucky enough to receive through my beloved NetGalley account!

This is a wonderful resource for all users and something I will not only share with others, but will certainly go back to again and again myself!

The only opportunity to improve I would suggest is one of the fonts used on a few of the little side notes (the one with exclamation points for the letter "i") was extremely hard to read. I'm sure it looked cute when selected, but I struggled to be able to read any of those little tips.

Very helpful for a first time user! I've reviewed so many books now and have even been approved for some books that I never thought I'd get a first look at.

The Book Advocate Toolkit has a lot of helpful information and I will definitely be referencing it again in the future. As someone who is new to the NetGalley platform, I appreciated the tips and advice on writing book reviews and running a Bookstagram account as well.
Something I would add to the guide would be an example of a book review on each platform so beginning reviewers could have a sample of what is typically expected.
Overall, I would recommend this resource to anyone who is looking to improve their NetGalley experience.

This was a perfect resource for first-time Netgalley users like myself. What I love about it is how comprehensive it is: the toolkit goes over the logistics of using Netgalley and provides valuable tips for promoting your book platform.

Since this is a living document, my only recommendation for the next update is to add examples of a good, bad, and great book review. There is a section that includes tips on how to write a review and links to blog posts that discuss Netgalley review writing. However, as a beginner to the platform, I would have loved to see some examples of good and bad reviews.

Overall, this is a comprehensive document perfect for beginning your Netgalley journey.

This book is super helpful for when you’re starting out. There’s some nuances I didn’t know until reading this guide—like publishers list their preferred hashtags! I think everyone should read this before requesting their first book.
