Good resource for beginners or those who are looking for more information.
I wish it had more information on how to get more approved, or how often new books are added by the publisher, and when is a good time to start applying for more/another books to help with ratio.

This toolkit is very thorough, it provides everything you’d need to use NetGalley and other book sites efficiently. I particularly liked the tips on writing a book review and how to promote them, I feel more confident in my abilities now and can’t wait to use some of the new tools and ideas I got from this toolkit.

This is all really helpful information presented a digestible, user friendly document. I've been a member for a decade but am just now making reviewing a focus and this guide is extremely helpful.

Great guide for a first time eARC reviewer! I appreciated how many different topics it covered while also being easy to digest.

A great guide on how Net Galley works. It explains in detail the steps on how to request & acquire books, all the way up to how to write a good review. There is a good table of contents so you can search what you need in a timely manner. I highly recommend this read for new members AND current members, especially if you want to improve your ratio score.

I recently discovered NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit even though I’ve been on NetGalley for a few months now. I found this guide to be helpful, though I wish I knew it existed when I first started. I liked that the guide is short and sweet and easy to read. There are some great tips on how to review the books you read and also lots of good information on the social media platforms to use to share your reviews along with tips for each. I would have liked to see more information and guidance on the timing of sharing reviews. I know the publishers sometime provide their preference for when to publish a review but that information isn’t always included in the approval email. Overall, I found this to be a helpful tool for NetGalley users.

This is a really gelpful guide for getting started on netgalley, covering all the basics and then some. There are lots of tips for different online platforms and ways of sharing reviews, both on netgalley itself or a personal blog as on platforms like tiktok, instagram and youtube. I've definitely picked up some tips and tricks that i will be using in the future.

This toolkit was extremely helpful. I found a lot of tips that I wish I could have learned here instead of learning the hard way. For example, tips about keeping your feedback rate up above 80% by not over-requesting. I'm sure we're all guilty of that at one point or another but crawling out of that hole is difficult.

I found a lot of good tips about writing helpful reviews and posting them to social media as well as on NetGalley.

I also appreciated that is isn't super long and the graphics used keep it interesting, rather than feeling like you're reading a lecture.

Every reviewer should read this before they start requesting, just to give themselves the best start possible.
