Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Many of the poems in "Blessed Are the Peacemakers" are deeply rooted in the topic of inheritance, which is discussed in the entire poetry collection. The book is very well-organised and the approach to the different topics and poems is very unique and innovative. Some poems were truly astonishing, practically masterpieces, my favourties are "Confession", "On Survival", "Pigs at the Door and a Riot beneath the Skin", "Momma", "Self-Portrait as Old Testament God" and "Self-Portrait as Autophobe". However, in other problems the writing style was rather chaotic, which made it hard to connect with the connect, as well as a bit overcomplicated. Some poems were truly rushed or prolonged too. I wish there was a trigger warnings list, because there are so many trigger warnings.
