I really did enjoy this book and I did purchase this for my library (ebook). Suzanne Brockmann seems unable to write a bad book! And this is no exception. Way back in 2013 I was only using NetGalley for collection development not for reviews. Apologize for this very very late review

I love Suzanne Brockmann. I would love to see Seal Team 16 again. Her characters as so real. I miss her so much. There is such depth of character and emotion.

I basically love Suzanne Brockman's writing style and voice. She writes in a way that make her characters seem so real. Excellent dialogue, humor, drama and emotions . The interview was fun and different, and like I mentioned the guys sound so natural they seem real.

Ok, this definitely shouldn't be read as a standalone but I thought what the hell -I'd wanted to read this series so decided to start with a collection of stories set in the world of the Troubleshooters. And I have to say that I'm really glad I did, although I'm pretty sure my bank balance isn't!

I really enjoyed the insights in to the characters lives, and although I had no basis on which to understand how they came together or what had happened to them in the past, I felt like I could connect to them and for me to get so emotionally involved in their stories in such a short space of time just proves to me that the characters within the series as a whole must be very well written - I cried! I'm not an overly emotional person (well at least I like to think I'm not) and yet a story that I had no prior knowledge about made me cry. That was probably the point I realised I had a lot of reading in my future starting with The Unsung Hero that was already sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me.

I did find the character interviews a bit confusing but I am sure had I have read the previous books in the series I would have known who everyone was and understood their interactions better.

Overall this was an extremely well written anthology that has encouraged me to start the series from scratch as I want to know more about the Troubleshooters.

Goodness this is kind of a hard review to write. I have to say that Suzanne Brockman really wrote this book for the fans of her Troubleshooters. So instead of just doing a review of individual stories in this book and giving away their greatness, I’m going to tell you guys about this great series.

The Troubleshooters series centers on Navy SEAL team 16 and Troubleshooters INC. These are true alpha males of the biggest order!! I know you are looking at the list and saying to yourself. That is a lot of books to invest time and money in. I will tell you that you will not be disappointed if you do. She writes in a way that these characters come to life for you. You will find yourself wondering what they are up to now. This is one of the series my mom and I read together, and I will tell you we both read all of them in about a week. Each of these characters holds a special place in my heart, and for such different reasons. This series is one of the few romantic suspense series that I read and will reread.

This current anthology Headed for Trouble is a collection of short novellas that she has written throughout the series and some new ones, but she also has thrown in some great behind the scenes insight into her and her characters. Also she sits down with some of our favorites and interviews them, which is truly funny and heartwarming!! These stories had me on the edge of my seat, laughing, and even crying.

I hope you guys will pick up not only this book by this whole series. I promise you will not be disappointed. It is truly one of the first book recommendations I give out to people. 🙂
