I enjoyed the book but did not care for all the "cute" animals. Jillian had a past and moved with her son to start over. Ethan was a cop running for sheriff. Her pursues her pretty hard and she resists mostly. As they start to build a relationship her past comes back and she breaks it off so Ethan can have a chance to win his election. People rally around Jillian and in the end all is well.

Jennie Marts' latest, "Never Enough Cowboy", is a new installment of feel-good small-town cowboy romance. As usual with Ms Marts' work, the reader will enjoy a good, simple ride: an opinionated, passionate female lead; a strong, supportive male suitor; a whole cluster of friends and family to ensure the couple's wedding. My favourite bit, however, is the growing menagerie, whose quirky introduction testifies to Ms Marts' skill at inserting a bit of humour relief alongside a message of humane concern.
(Possible spoiler alert)
In this instance, new librarian and single mom Jillian (a woman with a past) and caring single deputy sheriff Ethan have to overcome the memories of past mistakes in order for their love to triumph. This time around, the added element is single parenthood and honesty in relationships. And the importance of understanding that marriage is not only about the current individuals, but their families (past and present) as well. I could nearly hear the Brad Paisley soundtrack to it.
"Never Enough Cowboy" follows a smart, simple, yet effective formula to deliver a fun, simple, tale of love. It does not try to be "woke" or anything of the like. It is unapologetic in its sexy traditional view of life in a Western small town. It is also unapologetic in its intended audience, and its honest focus on pleasing it. There is no "high brow" drama, but the anguish human idiocy brings to daily life.
I applaud this later installment in the Credence Horse Rescue series, and I look forward to the next one, which I assume will star Jillian's sister Carley, and shy hunky law enforcer Knox. Bring it on!

This is a great cowboy romance with lots of swoon worthy moments sprinkled throughout! Jillian is a single mom and is new to town when she catches of the eye of the town's sheriff. With Ethan running for sheriff, Jillian is worried that her past could hinder his chances at winning. He doesn't see it as a concern and continues his pursuit of Jillian and is all in for her. There is a mild conflict at the end, but I would say this is a low angst, sweeter cowboy romance that melted my heart!

What do you do when the cowboy/sheriff that you've been flirting with for the past few weeks asks you to marry you? Well, if I was Jillian, I would've accepted the first time. Add Ethan Rayburn to the top of my "book boyfriends" list.

Jillian is a single mom who has just moved to a small ranch town to be with her sister and volunteer at a horse rescue. Ethan Rayburn is the town sheriff who fell for Jillian the moment he met her. Worried about her past catching up to her, Jillian tries to deny Ethan's advances. With a ten year old son (who is adorable) and a new job, Jillian worries that a whirlwind romance will cast a negative light on both her and Ethan, especially as he gears up for a local town election. Jillian is a stronger woman than I am, because when Ethan pulled out the sugar cube, reminding me of Finnick from the Hunger Games only steamier, I was sold.

Their friendship and the way that they cared for one another really shined. You know on sitcoms when the writers set up two characters that you know are going to fall in love but you're going to have to wait for the next season for them to give in to temptation? Never Enough Cowboy is like that, except it drops you right in the beginning of that new season. These characters have an affectionate relationship with each other from the get go, and it is really beautiful to watch as their relationship evolves and develops as they get to know each other better.

This book has the perfect level of spice for a newer romance reader. It's steamy without being too spicy. Most intimate moments could be considered "fade to black," but I was never left feeling like I was cheated out of a moment. Ethan is so swoon worthy. I'm obsessed with any man that falls first and gets tongue tied around a woman, but isn't weak. Like the Rayburn men like to say, when you know, you know.

The book also features a fun cast of side/background characters, so if those are your favorite kinds of books (they definitely are mine) then you need to get into this series now! This is the first book I've read by Marts, but I. AM. HOOKED. I can't wait to go and binge this series from the beginning and follow with them to the future. (Maybe a Carley and Knox book?*wink* *wink*)

This story is sugary sweet. I was cranky any time I had to put it down to get any actual work done. Looking forward to all this author has coming in the future!

Jillian is the town librarian helping out at her friend’s animal rescue farm when a marauding goat steals her skirt and traps her in the hayloft. Luckily, deputy Ethan Rayburn happens along to fetch the ladder and help her down. They are pretty interested in each other and actually go some dates. Kinda steamy sexy dates! But…Jillian’s ex, her son Milo’s father, is in jail for robbery and Ethan is running for sherif. And people are digging for dirt to stop Ethan’s bid for that position. Jillian is worried her one-degree of separation for a criminal info might hurt Ethan’s campaign so she keeps backing off. But Ethan is realizing he’s in love with her so he keeps pursuing.

There’s that marauding goat, horses to rescue, and a pig and a miniature horse who think they are family pets who get to sleep in Milo’s bed along with the dog and cat. It is a cute, sweet story with a nice helping of sexy times.

A sweet. but also steamy romance. Not a fan of intimate details, but the couple had me caring about them from the beginning. Add in a young boy and a variety of animals and it is winner. I haven't read the first three in this series. Not a problem, but I wish I had as the other couples mentioned in this book would have had more meaning. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

Jillian and her son moved to town for a fresh start. Jillian is the new head librarian at the town library and a single mom. Her backstory is tough - but Jillian is a seriously hardworking fighter. She's not interested in any kind of romantic relationship - she wants to focus on her son and job - nothing more. Ethan is a sheriff's deputy who truly wears his heart on his sleeve. He is pretty much totally adorable - and I loved how he was all in with Jillian from pretty much the moment he met her.

I also loved the menagerie of animals in this book - they always steal the show - along with the kids (who often seem smarter than their grownups). The found family of women who all support each other is an integral part of the book and something that just makes me happy. Women supporting other women is pretty much the best thing ever.

This would have been a total five star read for me <i>except</i> for the final drama between Jillian and Ethan. <spoiler> I just didn't feel Ethan response or extreme overreaction to Jillian's possible pregnancy was consistent with his character or even the story. The men in this series have all acted dumber than a box of rocks towards the end of the book - and I thought maybe it wasn't going to happen this time - but it did and it felt forced. I know his backstory set him up for this type of thing - but the way it happened just felt really inauthentic to me. </spoiler>

That being said overall - I have loved all the books in this series and hope there will be more!

I received this as an ARC via NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Never Enough Cowboy, the fourth book in the Creedence Horse Rescue series by Jennie Marts is an endearing, feel good romance that’ll literally leave you smiling…the authentically relatable characters will capture your heart from the onset of Ethan and Jillian’s story.

The Creedence Horse Rescue Ranch series continues, with beloved characters from the preceding stories continuing their own journeys, and with more quirky characters (two and four legged alike)…you just never know when you’ll find a flower wearing pig making herself at home on the living room couch watching television.

This has been a truly enjoyable series, I can only hope there are more stories to come.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Sweet! This is a funny, sweet and completely beautiful story. Jillian and Ethan have been flirting for a while now but who knew it would take a goat to bring them together?

Read this cute story and find yourself smiling pretty much the entire way through.

Never Enough Cowboy by Jennie Marts is a touching story.
This is a well-written sweet, romance with relatable characters.
The character's problems felt real, making it easy to get lost in the story.
Jennie has created a story full of realistic situations and amazing characters going through life one day at a time.
The characters were charming and heart-warming.
It was an amazing book and was beautifully written.

Loved this book! Sexy and fun, this one is a winner! Jillian is a single mom with a nightmare of an ex. She has relocated to Colorado to be near her sister and get a fresh start. Ethan is a sheriff's deputy who is running for sheriff. The sparks between them begin to fly and before long they are both smitten, however, they are each carrying some baggage into their new relationship.

The author made me care about the characters and feel invested in their story. Fans of the genre will love this one. Put it on your TBR list. The author is on my my must read authors' list.
