I have been interested in getting a property for an Airbnb for a couple of years. I felt like this book provided an excellent framework and advice to get one going! I’m excited to get started!

This book was just okay. It has a lot of generic AirBnB information that I've seen elsewhere, offers the basics that most people can figure out just by reading other AirBnB listings. There was too little about AirBnBing out a part of your home, which is what several friends have done, and what I was interested in learning more about.

Although the authors tell you to provide very clear House Rules and list the penalties for non-compliance, missing entirely was, how do you enforce these rules? If you say, for example, no loud parties or no smoking, and a guest, once in the place, ignores you, will AirBnB get involved? Can a guest be evicted immediately for egregious offenses? The authors say that one in three (!!) hosts has to deal with rowdy partiers or people who trash things. Okay. So, then what? They have taken the rental for two weeks and they're driving the neighbors nuts. Can you remove them? How? This was a big omission.

A Google search could provide the same info as this book, but your search results would be tailored to your particular interests. The authors didn't get into AirBnB longer rentals at all, for example, which is one facet of the business that interests me. What are the pros and cons of limiting your AirBnB to 30+ days? How successful are those who do this? Although NetGalley only allows whole stars, I rate this 2-1/2 stars.

This book is a helpful primer for those considering hosting an Airbnb property. In addition to pros and cons, the author provides handy checklists where appropriate and discusses more in-depth topics such as business structure and marketing plans.

An interesting and informative read into a subject I am interested in.
A book I’m sure I’ll come back to time and time again.

Looking to get into the Rental Business this is the book that can help you begin your journey.
It covers everything in easy to understand and follow instructions.
It offers several business that can help you with major decisions when setting up your property.

This does a great job of covering all the basics. It seems like it's missing the elements that make it great, but I don't know what it is. There's no mention of costs or potential profits, which is important. I think much of this is covered in AirBnB's website. Maybe another edition will help this book.
