Another great follow up! My children have read every book in the series and continue to laugh and giggle at the story. It is a page-turning, silly and fun story that leaves my kids wanting the next edition right away. Great for sibling read-togethers as there are enough characters to assign parts!

My third grader devoured this book. As a long time family fan of this series, we were all thrilled to get an early copy. It was funny. It was clever and the heist was a great twist for the Gators to solve. For both boys and girls, this book is an action packed, hilarious read for kids who love Dog Man and Cat Kid.

On the last days of school, I shared this book with my third graders and they were lining up to read it in lieu of "choice time" and other end-of-school activities. My students have devoured the InvestiGators series and this adds another title to the shelf.

Great! This is exactly the type of book that encourages my reluctant reader to pick up a book to enjoy. It was easy to follow the storyline. The story is silly but still makes sense. And the pictures relate well to the storyline.

I received a copy of this in exchange for my honest review. Thank you Netgalley!

My son is a huge fan of this series. The author makes it easy for kids with adhd, like my son, to follow around and actually enjoy reading again.

We will definitely be grabbing more by this author.

Do you love bad dad jokes, or books that play with words? If you do you are going to love Investigators. This book is fantastic for any graphic novel reader who just loves having fun. If you have a younger kid let them read it. They may not get all the word play but that is okay. As they get better at reading let them read it again! The book will take on a whole new meaning. I love books that allow kids to continuously find new fun quirks each time they read it. This book is a perfect example of that. Any one of any age can sit down and thoroughly enjoy this story and these characters. I can’t wait to talk this up with all the kids when it comes out.

Thank you so much to First Second Books and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book.

Perfect for fans of THE BAD GUYS. Children always borrow these books from our library. Many of our readers look forward to reading the next volume.

This is a great read for all kids who enjoy graphic novels. I read this with my 9-year old and he absolutely loved it. He read it in one sitting & especially liked the illustrations. Each book in this series is better than the last. I look forward to adding this to my classroom library, as well.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! This book is set to be released September 27, 2022.

Heist and Seek had me laughing out loud. Yes, there is potty humor and vomit. Lots of vomit. Just what so many young children love. There is also a good plot and engaging illustrations. The author breaks the fourth wall in very humorous ways. This will be an automatic purchase for my library.

Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A dear reading friend of mine introduced me to this series and this author. It is just the brand of cheesy and punny that I love! And the author totally breaks the 4th wall with this one and I LOVE it!

Our investigating gators: Brash and Mango are at the movies watching a detective show when they get called on to help solve an art heist mystery. Shenanigans ensue, art is critiqued and great art is revealed.

I loved all the art spoofs that were contained into this graphic novel: the Bona Lisa, Pigcasso, Panksy to name a few.

Funny, light-hearted, but still some social commentary to color the story for an older reader.

Highly recommended for fans of Dog Man, Captain Underpants and Zombie Goldfish.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest reveiw.

This reveiw was special because I told my youngest son that he was going to be reading an ARC with me and it happened to be one of his favorite graphic novel series.

As a librarian in a elementary school, these boosk are hard to keep on the shelf. Students LOVE them and Heist and Seek will be no different.

Mango and Brash are here to save the day! They take their readers on an entertaining journey full of laughs and loads of puns.

My kiddo wanted to give it more than 5 STARS.

This graphic novel twists humor and mystery together as you help 2 alligator-investigators solve crimes. The story reminded me a little bit of the Perry storylines in Phineas & Ferb -- silly, slightly incompetent, and filled with puns. The story moves pretty quickly, balancing giving enough clues and not giving away the ending. Elementary school students will enjoy re-reading, sharing the jokes, and following their new favorites in this series.

If my K-5 patron population is any indication, InvestiGators is the new Dog Man. I gave this to my eight-year-old daughter (a massive InvestiGators fan) to read. Three days later, she reported that she had read it at least five times already. She's been sharing random quotes and funny moments with me for several days now. A very fine addition to the series, which I will be reading myself if she ever lets me borrow the tablet. A must-purchase for any school library!

Rated PG 7to10 for puns and multiple references to barf and potty humor.

Agents Mango and Brash work for S.U.I.T., and they investigate crimes without dodging any puns along the way. They may travel by toilet flush, but their skills don't completely stink.

Paintings are being stolen in the city, and this may cause the museum to close (preventing future galas)! So the agents test their artistic skills to go undercover and save the artsy party.

The primary characters are animals (working along with humans), and there are a lot of older American cultural references that 7 to 10 year olds will not understand, but among the other jokes, they are unlikely to care.

It's a cheerful romp, but a typical art heist with gator detectives added. There are some cute brief detours, but it's otherwise fairly predictable. Fans of the series will enjoy the book.

3/5 Stars Good partner dynamic!
-2 Stars Potty humor, and overuse of barfing (in text and illustrations).

This is a very cute and educational comic for kids. The artwork is nicely done and the colouring is bright and vibrant which captures your attention.

My 10 year old son and I read this together and he had a lot of fun. Mango and Brash have to go undercover to to discover who the crook is who is stealing all of the art at the museum. They need to recover all of the missing art and save fundraising gala, all the while having a fun time, with plenty of silly puns and clues to follow. A great one to read that's easy to follow, with a story easy to follow and plenty of colourful images to help keep kids entertained.

Snickers, snorts and chortles are the name of the game for this cartoon cum comic-like book. There's plenty of 'gross and yuck' for kids, and amusing plays on words for adults. You won't go wrong with this InvestiGators - Heist & Seek! John Patrick Green surely painted a good one here with Mango and Brash investiGating an art theft. This is book six in Green's InvestiGator series. This one is likely indication of what those others are too: good, clean and entertaining fun that will keep the reader chuckling smiles and giving a super great lift to your day. It did, at least, for me.

My 7 year old LOVES The Investigators and was beyond thrilled when I told him he gets to read and review book 6 🙌🏼 he devoured this book in a day and can't wait to buy a hardcopy!

Below is his review, caution.. spoilers!

I really liked this book because there was a V.E.S.T. that was NOT really a V.E.S.T.!!!It was a disguise that automatically made Mango unrecognisable. The dilemma was that the paintings had been stolen and replaced.Turns out the art thief was Savanna.Oh... did I forget to mention that there was a lot of puking in the middle of the book.At the end of the book[if you recall, in the last book,Crackerdile{or whatever! you-know-who}got killed.] lots of "Crackerdiles"started forming. And also,Cilantro has her own series now!!!It's called "Agents Of S.U.I.T."
