This is a great book for teens and young adults. It talks about the struggles or difficulties you might face. And that it's okay to be difficult or not know what to do.

I have read Luvvie Ajaji Jones adult books, and I was so happy to see a version for teens. This book has great chapters encouraging young people to not only speak up, but believe in themselves. This would make a great gift for a highschool aged teen.

“We all need to be the challenger, but everyone is waiting on Superman, when they have red capes too.”

The world can feel like a dumpster fire, with endless things to be afraid of. It can make you feel powerless to ask for what you need, use your voice, and show up truly as your whole self. Add the fact that often, people might make you feel like your way of showing up is TOO MUCH.
BE TOO MUCH, and use it for good. That is what it means to be a troublemaker. In this book, Luvvie Ajayi Jones gives you the permission you might need to be the troublemaker you are, or wish to be. As a Rising Troublemaker, you need to know that the beautiful, audacious life you want is on the other side of doing the things that will scare you. This book will help you face and fight your fear and start living that life ASAP.

Right now the world is a scary place to live in, frankly it always has been for anyone but the straight, white cisgendered man, and Jones does not shy away from telling you how it is! Reading this novel, not only did I feel motivated to chase the life I desire but I felt motivated to start kicking ass and taking names!! Luvvie Ajayi Jones is a badass with a powerful story who has an amazing talent for inspiring others! This entire book had me absolutely hooked and was filled with insightful ways to approach difficult topics and become the change in the world you want to see.

I recommend this one to anyone looking for the little kick in the ass that they need to get up and create the life they have always wanted, fans of “I Am Malala” and “Becoming,” and anyone looking for a hilarious, motivational, and educational nonfiction!

Honestly, this may be a book for parents of teens to read as well. There are so many tough and difficult things going on around the world that this will be an essential guide to give guidance and support.

My girls are still young but I worry for the state of the world they’re growing up in. This book had some insightful ways of approaching topics. As stated the world today is a dumpster fire that’s heavily divided on politics and race. I can only hope to learn, teach, and pray they can understand and become part of a society that doesn’t keep destroying this world.
