I loved Boyfriend Material and I was so excited to hear that there would be a sequel! It was really fun to dive back in with these characters. The sneak peek of the first few chapters has me hooked already and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Took me about three of the chapters to realise this was a sequel - oops! The writing is fantastically paced, the characters perfect and the humour is top-notch. I literally cannot wait to read the first book and then move to this one

I absolutely adore Luc and Oliver! I can't wait to read the sequel of laugh out loud funny, Boyfriend Material. Alexis Hall knows how to create amazing characters and stories. So excited for Husband Material to be released later this year!

I wasn’t sure if this was a correct file or what “preview” really means but I wasn’t able to read anything. I’m still VERY MUCH looking forward to reading Husband Material once I’m able to get an actual copy or Kindle book.

My only regret with this preview is that I don't have my hands on the rest of the book right now so I can continue reading! But I knew going into this that it was a preview of chapters 1-5 only, so this is on me being impatient. I actually just finished a re-read of Boyfriend Material right before starting this preview and in my head, I totally read this in the audiobook narrator's (Joe Jameson) voice for the characters. I love Luc and I love Oliver. I love all the side characters too!

This story starts off with some time having passed since Boyfriend Material (2 years!) and I think it's fun to see where the characters are now and see the book continue and picking up in the middle of their lives again. I'm dying to figure out what the deal is with Tom (IS he cheating? is it a misunderstanding?) and how Luc and Oliver hash out this latest thing once Luc gets back home. Are they going to be MARRIED by the end of the book? I MUST KNOW. Alas, the wait for the actual book itself isn't until August and I can only sadly put in a "wish" for the ARC here on NetGalley, but I can't wait to read it!

One of my favorite things is I was easily able to pick right back up with the characters from the first book. So many funny parts that had me rolling. Just wish the book was coming out sooner!

I don't want to rate this book on a sampler, but I'm thoroughly excited to see where this goes from here. I did enjoy Boyfriend Material, and I'm eager to see how I'll feel about Husband Material!

It was so good to be back with Luc and Oliver again, and to get a glimpse of how their relationship has developed since Boyfriend Material. They've come on leaps and bounds in their understanding of each other, and their communication, and yet it's clear too that Husband Material won't necessarily be plain sailing. But I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll navigate what comes their way in the full story. And excited to hear more from the various supporting characters I've grown to love (especially Odile - what a legend).

I am more than ready for more Luc and Oliver. If the rest of their story is anything like this sneak peek I can already tell it’s going to be a favorite. All of Hall’s wit and charm is back and I can’t wait to read more.

Sequel's can be kind of nervewracking, but I should've known that Alexis Hall wouldn't let us down.
If these first 5 chapters are any indication, Husband Material is packing just as many laughs and feelings as its predecessor.

5 chapters of sheer perfection! I am so excited for the full book to release! Luc and Oliver have been with me since reading Boyfriend Material so having them back with more of their story is amazing!

Honestly I didn't realize this wasn't the whole book when I downloaded it, so obviously this will only be a review for the first 5 chapters. This book does follow the same characters from the first book "Boyfriend Material" so you will definitley want to read that book first. There was so much that happened in just the first few chapters that I am invested and I need to know how the rest of this book goes! I'm definitely picking up on some drama that seems to be brewing. Can't wait to read the rest of this book when it comes out August 2nd!

This is a review for a five chapter PREVIEW of Husband Material.
Ugh, okay, so 5 chapters was not NEARLY enough of what I needed to get me back to Oliver and Lucien. The book opens with a bang—there is a “bespoke crocheted vulva hat” on page one (if that doesn’t make you want to check this out, then nothing will), and the dialogue is immediately and inherently Alexis Hall magic. Falling into Luc’s brain is so easy and effortless you feel as if you’ve known him and been friends with him for years. Bridge, Tom, Rhys, and Alex are already lined up as a familiar cast of characters and the story is placed approximately two years after the ending of Boyfriend Material. Just from the glimpse I got, if you were a fan of Boyfriend Material, Husband Material may prove to be an even wiser, smarter version, with just as excellent cast as before. Alexis Hall has once again created something special. Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for my preview ARC in exchange for an honest review.
