Minnie Driver has written a collection of essays highlighting moments in her life. This is not your typical tell-all. She provides the reader a look into her life, but doesn’t share much about her life as a Hollywood actress or her romantic relationships. An excellent storyteller, she is honest, vulnerable, relatable, and hilarious. She writes beautifully. I would love to read more of her stories. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection of autobiographical essays and I highly recommend it.

Thank you to Netgalley and to the publisher for providing me with an advanced review copy in exchange for an honest review.

I expected something entertaining and interesting I'm sure it's a wonderful book, but I only read a few chapters

It turns out that Minnie Driver is a great story teller in addition to being a great actress. I read this in one sitting, and am still thinking about it days later.

It’s absolutely true that the heartbreaking and embarrassing experiences shape us the most, and for the best if we allow ourselves that mindset. Minnie Driver clearly has that mindset. She shares tales from childhood through the recent loss of her mother in a highly readable manner.

This book is not a standard biography, but rather a collection of vignettes from her lifetime. She shares enough to invite you in, yet allows herself the dignity of privacy. It’s bratty, funny, brave, and heartbreaking.

Overall, I quite enjoyed it. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperOne for access to this ARC.
