This is a good one short read picture book by Susie and Steven. They had done a good job covering different countries in snapshots.

Here with this, they covered Haiti, a North American country with majority of African-Americans. Even led by one. They have their history to tell and their daily chores that made up their cultural tacts.

Apart from know facts on Haiti, I enjoyed illustrations so keen. I would like to read more from other such small countries which are rarely taken into account while discussing world's geography.

Another Search and Find book! Haiti is on a Caribbean Island shared with the Dominican Republic.
The language is based in French with lots of Americanisms.
Places to see, interesting spicy foods, celebrations, wonderful scenery including caves, and native animals! The music is fast and perfect for dancing.
The illustrations are busy, brilliant, and fun!
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Encantos Media Studios/Encantos via NetGalley. Thank you!

We loved visiting Haiti in this Tiny Travelers book. We absolutely enjoyed learning about Haiti and it’s celebrations, their jungles, and their delicious looking foods. There’s so much to learn but these tiny glimpses are perfect for little travelers. We always finish these books looking forward to the next. I’m always recommending this series to families with young children.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

The storytelling was interesting to read, specially because of the rhymes and curiosities within the book - not to mention the wonderful illustrations!

I definitely recommend Tiny Travelers Haiti Treasure Quest by Steven Wolfe Pereira & Susie Jaramillo to all parents of young travelers (3 or 4 yo) who want to explore more about a country and its culture or whenever they'll get a chance to visit it! The young ones will certainly learn while having fun with the book.

Thank you, NetGalley for this ARC.

I thought that this was a fabulous book!!

I love the books that are in the Tiny Travelers series, they are some of the best books available to children that want to learn more about other countries and what it is like for other kids around the world

The illustrations in the book are lovely and they read bring the different pages to life. I love the way that the cultural elements are introduced, it is a delightful book all-round

It is five stars from me for this one – very highly recommended and a great way for younger readers to learn about other cultures and countries

Review to come September 18th to blog/goodreads/etc.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I saw this book (and also a few others in the series) on Netgalley and was instantly curious. I thought I would try this one out as Haiti sounded the most interesting country + it has been a country that I have been more curious about to learn more. For now (writing this August 30th) I am a bit full, but hopefully later this month the books are still there, because I definitely want more!

In this 32 book we learn all about Haiti. From festivals to food to music to much more. We travel through all of Haiti. From colourful houses to markets. Each page has something new! Next to some main facts we also have a Did You Know shaped like a ticket on the bottom left and a treasure stamp that asks you to find something. I learned SO MUCH about Haiti thanks to this book and I greatly enjoyed reading it. I love the format, that it isn't crammed with information, but instead you get a few small bits.

Bonus points to pronunciation of words. I always love it when books add that. For most it was easy for me as a lot words were French and I had a few years of that in school. But there were also other words. Plus, this book is for kids, so it is even more perfect they add the pronunciation.

I loved that at the end we get a sort of passport/postcard along with a checklist for treasures. I am wondering if those treasure (which look like stamps) are actually stickers in the physical version? Now that would be fun! Then kids could stick the stamp in the right place.

The illustrations were so fun, so colourful, playful, and fitted wonderfully with the book.

All in all, do you want to learn more about Haiti? Curious about festivals, foods, and more? Be sure to check out this book. This is perfect for kids (and adults like me).

This is a stunning, brightly coloured and beautifully illustrated children's book, which focuses on Haiti, and all that Haiti has to offer those who wish to explore there. It is like a little travel manual for children, which is easy to read, with fun facts about different areas in Haiti, and how the people there live. It is very interesting and gorgeous to look at. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cute little book, and good addition to the other books in this collection. Nice to teach kids about different parts of another country.

Tiny Travelers Haiti treasure Quest by Steven Wolfe Pereira and Susie Jaramillo was a great little explorers book. It is an easy to read children's book filled with colorful pictures to go with the explorations of the unknown island. It uses a sing song narrating voice to impart facts and show off monuments and historical sites. I love the fact that the book also gives words from the native speakers of the island leaving one feeling as if they're being enriched with knowledge. I will certainly purchase other books in this series as I think it is a great way for children to learn about different places and cultures. This review was given on the ARC copy received from the Publisher via NetGalley in return for my honest opinion

It was interesting learning about Haiti through this book. I discovered that there are more things to do than to see (that is probably because of the two devastating earthquakes in the last 20 years). Looks like it would be a fun place to immerse yourself in the culture.

Another fun-tastic book from Tiny Travelers.

A country in America who speaks also french, a rare one it is. When all I know is the disaster that befell them, now I know more. Their colorful way of life is one mesmerizing thing I found: tap tap, carnival, even their town. And surely Haitian got scrumptious food that makes me drool. This is another must have book for your library.

This book is fun. It is an interesting and engaging way for young children to find out about places throughout our world.

It is different from many such book as it ask questions and allows the reader and child to engage in the story that it is tell about the country which is being explored.

I would recommend this book. I have been to many places around the world, but Haiti is not one of them, I learn some things I didn't know about Haiti even although the book is set up for children.

I would recommend this book if you have young children in the house! The publisher recommends age 4-8, I say that a 3 year old could cope with this book, if they are used to books, it would be less engaging for the upper age group.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book.
