This book wasn't what I was expecting. It's very action-based and was certainly a wild ride. It's a very quick read but a little rushed in parts. A lot happens. I liked the protag's quick whit, awareness and combat skills. I'd love to know more about her background. I am left wondering about more than a few things..

This was a fast read but so unrealistic and I found it a little ridiculous! Especially the ending! I didn’t really enjoy this book.

Firstly I'd like to say I was sent a free copy of this book on behalf of NetGallery and the publishers for a honest review.

That review is, I'm confused.
The book starts with Jess going for a extremely odd interview, whether her hair was natural blonde and her boobs real were part of the interview. Only for her to be whisked away to a private island to (at first) serve in a bar.

Very quickly we realised there was more to this island, including David a guy who ran a facility on the island, honestly still not sure what it is they were doing there.

The first part of the book jumped really quickly, it was too fast paced, a lot of context was missing which left me feeling confused.

There is a lot of deaths. Lots of random characters who appear for the briefest of moments.
Who was Katerina, what was she to David or Jess? I honestly have no idea.

I have no doubt that the author knows exactly what this book is about, I just wish they had written it down clearer. Too jumpy from one scene to the next, barely any context. Came away not know what it is I was supposed to have been reading.

I did read it in one sitting though, so if you're looking for a high action with a confusing plot that can be read in a few hours, this is for you but otherwise I would not recommend.

A dream job on a tropical island. For the world's foremost entrepreneur. But employer and employee have secrets. Whose secrets are the darkest? This was a really well written, good story which kept me interested from the beginning. Great characters which are also believable.

I wasn't a fan of this book due to the plot holes and lack of details. It started out great, but I found that there was minimal explanation of actions and overall just a confusing book to read.

You might love this if you love action movies without serious story line and full of weird bloody action.
It started quite interesting but soon enough the weirdness of paranoid David spoilt it for me. This enemy isn't just an evil genius. He's totally cracked up.
I admit that I read the whole thing looking for answers or at least for a satisfying end. Neither was given.

This book was an overall enjoyable read with good characters, a good storyline and a good setting, however I found the writing style to be one that just wasnt for me, it was slow and fell flat in places. However the story was still enjoyable to read in itself so I would try more from this author.

"I don't want to kill you, David - I want to unmake you."

The whole Novel is as absurd as this statement. Throughout the book, a lot of effort has been put into creating suspense but the effort failed to win my heart. Here, we are going through a weird array of things that make very little sense.
->I get the point that you have to hide protagonist's identity until the end(to make readers curious) but Instead of making me curious about "Jess", I lost interest in her.
->I wanted to be fed something throughout the story to feel something but no I had no idea what's happening and to which direction the story was moving.
-> Initially ,I had an interest in What David's(the "employer") intentions were but I did not get an actual answer for that. All of his actions are weird and I'm still confused about what his actual goal was.
->The points corresponding to sexual arousal were really unnecessary. I mean look a man is dying, but he is more interested in getting aroused by his killer? Isn't he supposed to kill them?
-> A lot of things are left unexplained and these plot holes are really really annoying. It started on a good note, a girl arriving at a mysterious island with lots of secrets and was meant to be a good plot but it stopped making sense because of the rush and the pacing. A lot of details are missing , actions are unexplained and protagonist is really weird.
Overall it really wasn't a great experience as the plot was meant to be good and storytelling was fine but the pacing is actually a big no-no for me. I'd recommend this only for people who aren't really interested in details or plotholes.
