DNF. I was open to trying this one, but I struggled with how imposing the hero is of his will, especially as a billionaire when the woman is lower in status than he is.

2.5 stars. Typical HP but the male lead did not have the "alphaness" and possessive characteristics I expect in an HP by Maya Blake. Ekow and Evangeline have a one night stand that results in a baby. Evangeline tries to let Ekow know but when her father tries to buy her off, she has the baby alone. 18 months later, they both can't get each other out of their minds and when Ekow has the chance to see Evangeline he discovers his son and coerces her into marriage. Ekow and Evangeline both struggle with issues relating to getting emotionally involved, which is one of my least favorite tropes. I enjoyed the story being set in Ghana and South Africa (I think!) and it was a quick read.

What can we expect when Harlequin is on the cover? When I think of romance/ women'sfiction, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day.

Ms. Blake takes us back to exotic Ghana and South Africa featuring a romance for the second Quayson brother. Ekow is treated as a spare by his family particularly after the beloved heir and his eldest brother dies in a car accident. His wealth and looks make him a target for women but he's used to navigating his way around until a one-night stand on a business trip leaves him with unfinished business.
Eva might have remained a beautiful memory but when the pursuit of a persistent hacker takes him back to Cape town and brings him face to face with Eva and a baby, he never knew he had, all bets are off. Soon, he has Eva married and settled in his home, her brilliant hacker brother in a school that challenges his intelligence. Their road is definitely not smooth since Ekow is not privy to all the truth, but love will win out and give Ekow and Eva the happy ending they both deserve.
A wonder sequel to the first book featuring Atu and Amelie.

A quick fast read about a Banker Ekow happening to be in one of his hotel restaurant when he comes upon Eva at the bar. Right away he was drawn by her and they have a night of passion. Fast forward over a year later and he wonders about her it seems once he awoke she was gone from his bed. This my first harlequin book where the hero and the hero are Africans and it was quite pleasant to read about a couple in the African Diaspora. He finds out she had his baby and makes a deal for her to marry him and move in with him. They both agree they will be married in name only but we know as with this plots and after all its a romance that is not the case.
