This book was the embodiment of “you were good, I was waiting for you to be great”. The magic system was very well explained- light vs dark was well executed. The main character Lucia was annoying at times but it did aid in the growth of her character slightly. The singing was random

Thank you to Books Fluent, Mark A. Alvarez, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really really wanted to love this book as I thoroughly enjoy high fantasy, and I do think that reading this book physically is likely a much better choice, but I could not get myself into the plot. The characters muddled together and the plot was not particularly engaging

Thank you Netgalley for the audiobook for a honest review. I tried listening to this book and I just could not connect with it, I found it confusing and needs revision. I am going to DNF this one unfortunately. I found the first half to be boring and I felt meh.

The story is very interesting and well told, but my only complaint is that the dialogue changes narrator depending on the character speaking rather than the typical slight change in voice. Having the two narrators was distracting. But overall a good book.

This story read like a fairytale which I absolutely liked. Although I would absolutely not give this book to a child. I got a little distracted at some times during the story.

Well, that wasn't what i've expected of it.
I didn't like the mission and the end of it was didn't make sense.
The charactets were good but not enough that i care about their faith.
I don't think that i want to read more of it later. So... What is left to say? Oh right, what is it that all of them were L names? Lucia and leo and lusana? Honestly, you have 26 word to explore.

Thank you NetGalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review. This was not good, maybe because I listened to it instead of reading a physical copy. I found the main characters to be confusing, all of their names were really similar. And the story itself was pretty confusing as well. And I found the religious elements to be annoying and heavy handed.

I love fantasy and I really wanted to like this book, the world, the characters and the descriptions are on point, however there is something missing, I really cant put my finger on it but it just feels meh.
I had such a hard time with the first half of the book to just be engaged, I don't know if its the writing or the narrator or both but I kept drifting away.
The story is good, perhaps it was a bit too much of unnecessary descriptions making it way too long, this audiobook was more than 11hrs long, I feel it could have been at least half.
They change chapters but it feels like we are still in the same scene, then why change chapters?
The narrator has a very nice voice, tone and speed, I usually listen at 130 or 150 and voices sometimes get lost or a bit annoying, not hers.
