I did not read the previous books but will do so now after reading this one! Full of twists and turns. This is a great read! If you love a good mystery, you will devour this book!

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review…this is a mystery with much intrigue…it could be a movie or a television series…it reads like true crime…the author is talented in keeping the reader intrigued…the characters are not likable, but this is not a cozy mystery…they are real and flawed and sometimes just not so nice…the story moves s,only, at times, but comes to a satisfying ending…intrigue at its best…

This was in intriguing story full of twists and turns that is the 3rd novel in a series that follows Detective Sam Carver as he tracks a serial killer. There were quite a few surprising twists that kept me on my toes!. I will definitely be on the lookout for further books from Jeffrey Fleshman! Thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for providing me an ARC in exchange or my honest review.

To be very honest, this book is messed up and messes you up too.

Sam Carver is a Detective with LAPD. He’s a great cop but he almost crosses the line when it comes to Dylan Cross. A mentally unstable girl who’s also a killer. This story had continued from the 1st and 2nd books, I finally reached its conclusion.

The book is full of twists and turns of some that were predictable and some not.

It left a disquiet feeling after I finished reading.

Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a thriller that looked at every detail that was connected to the crimes of the serial killer and other criminals. I absolutely loved Bryant’s character. Having a strong, smart, intelligent female partner to back you up was perfect for this storyline and for Carver. I thought that the book had a nice flow to it where it allowed the story to have that build up to the explosive ending. How the story is written it tells me that the writer really wanted to focus on Carver and him dealing with his emotions and who he is as a cop. The story definitely has that feeling of reality to it. I definitely loved the book. I look forward to reading more from this writer.

I didn't know this was the 3rd book with Sam Carver and maybe I would have liked it more if I had read the first ones and gotten to know the back story. Overall it was good, it seemed less about Dylan Cross and more about the current murder. That is great but I thought it would be more about Dylan Cross. It had many current racial issues and political themes which for me was just too much. I think I will go back and read the first books with Carver and maybe then I will reread this and like it more

Many thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for providing a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Solid follow up Last Dance and Sam Carver is still being haunted by Dylan Cross. The three intertwining story lines moved along quickly and definitely kept me engaged.

The background Dylan Cross is explained well enough to make this a standalone but I got a lot more out of it having read the first two. The murder case that Carver investigates has a lot of current day political and racial themes that might be unpleasant for some people...but I thought they were thought out and explained well so I enjoyed them even if I didnt agree with them.

I hope to see more of Sam Carver in the future!
