I really thought I would enjoy this book but it fell flat. SO yes, I am not a wife but am surrounded by men in the office constantly talking about their weekend golfing trips that it sometimes feels like it’s all we talk about. I was looking forward to having a laugh with this book but I felt like this book was written in a rush and lost its way slightly which is really sad as it had so much promise.

This book is perfect for any wife of a golfer. It is good to know as a "golf window" that I am not the only one. reading the stories from other people was wonderful as well.

The Golfer's Wife is a book that may appeal to a golfer, who is also an upper middle class country club member.
The story is well written but not compelling, the main characters are successful people who can afford lavish weddings, a second home Florida, and dual memberships in country clubs. A golfer may enjoy the myriad details of the endless rounds of golf described, however the story is not necessarily memorable.

The author included several asides about professional golfers, providing biographical information, and details about the golfer's family contributions to various charities. If you follow professional golf, you will recognize the names and playing records of the golfers; their charitable efforts are admirable and easily the best parts of the book.

I thought I would enjoy this more than I did. I don’t think it was something I would read again. It does show behind the success there is always a team to support you.

I think this book is a great summer read: something fluffy and easy to read that would be perfect on the beach or on a vacation. If you want something funny, romantic, and full of sarcasm, I would choose this.

I was interested to read this book because I am a golfer's wife...In my family I have 3 club professionals, one of which competes weekly in sectional tournaments. I thought the book was entertaining and will appeal to those familiar or interested in the sport.

I enjoyed the tour pro wives' stories. The insight into the support a wife or family gives a avid golfer was interesting.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book.

This is the first book I’ve ever requested from NetGalley, it is an autoapproved one.

I just started to enjoy reading autobiography recently (a sign of maturity?), hence I chose this book. I think if one is at all interested in golf, you will find this to be an easy read. I felt as if I was reading a diary. I do like that Janet Thompson added a separate story to her story to champion charitable causes every 2 chapters or so.

Unfortunately I have very little interest in golf, so I skimmed read the last 25% of the book rather than reading it word for word. It is also because of formatting of the digital copy that I couldn’t carry on (the font is very small).

I rate this 3.25-3.5 (interest adjusted).

Many thanks Amplify for the auto-approval of this book via NetGalley and NetGalley for facilitating when there was a formatting error with the digital copy.

Wasn't really a fan. Thought it was going to be a bit different.

Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.
While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

I have always had an interest in golf despite being a terrible player. This is an enjoyable read, without being particularly groundbreaking. But it needed to be written; Behind every successful sportsperson, is a group of family and friends working their socks off to make everything possible.
Very easy to read, it would be perfect to have a copy lying on a table in the 19th hole at your local club.
Thanks to NetGalley and Amplify Publishing for providing me with an Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
