Again, I’m appreciating the different take on these historical romance novels. Instead of the classic, we have 3 sisters who OWN THEIR OWN BUSINESS! So awesome! Diana and her sisters, following an intense scandal from their parents, decide to not be reliant on anyone but each other and thus start their own business as party planners. When the new Duke of Grenwood employs their services to bring his sister up to snuff for her debut, sparks fly between Diana and the Duke. As we follow these three strong women, we also learn more about Grenwood and his family and their secrets.

Jeffries is a master of historical romance with great attention to detail. While at times I did find the conversation a bit bland, overall this was a fun romp which highlighted strong women! Looking forward to the next in the series - no simpering misses here!

I really enjoyed this book.
Diana is a character that is Charming, Loving and refuses to back down from a challenge. When the Duke Geoffrey challenges her, she challenges right back.
The Duke is grumpy and unhappy to be a Duke, but is willing to do everything in his power to take care of his younger sister and mother. His true care and concern for his sister is touching.
He is stubborn but so is Diana and it makes for enjoyable chemistry and interesting scenes to read.
The tension is top notch with the perfect ending to match 😍
A good storyline that wraps up nicely and the perfect amount of internal conflict to make this a slower burn novel.
Who doesn't love a good make over series.
A truly enjoyable Historical Romance and I look forward to reading Diana's sisters' stories in the future 💜

This was my first Sabrina Jeffries novel and I absolutely adored it! 𝗔 𝗗𝗨𝗞𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗔 was a charming romance read from start to finish.

I found myself intrigued by Diana and her sisters Eliza and Verity, and by their independent and entrepreneurial nature. When a series of unfortunate events place them on the outskirts of polite society, they put their talent and skills to good use and Elegant Occasions is born. When Geoffrey requires their services to help his sister with her debut, he gets the surprise of his life, when his attraction to Diana takes over him.

From here on out, they dance around each other and their feelings and it made for wonderful reading. I found myself devouring the pages as I watched them come to terms with their attraction to one another and fall hopelessly in love.

I’m giving 𝗔 𝗗𝗨𝗞𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗔 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval and look forward to Eliza and Verity’s books. TBR and Enjoy!

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

For Lady Diana Harper, what should've been her perfect debut season, soon turned into horror when her mother created the scandal to end all scandals, and ruined the reputations of her daughters. Rather than becoming governesses or companions, the sisters decide to become the ton's go to party planners, helping debutantes and society matrons alike with all their needs to navigate London during the Season. Though Elegant Occasions has had a number of well connected clients in the past, they've never had a ducal family, which would really help their business. So when the newly minted Duke of Grenwood, self made man Geoffrey Brookhouse asks for help in polishing up his sister ready for her debut, and maybe help him along the way too, it's a dream come true. But from the get go, Diana and Geoffrey clash, and they seem to do everything to ruffle each other's feathers.

This was a book that as soon as I heard about it, I knew I needed to read it. I love Sabrina's books, and the synopsis of A Duke for Diana drew me in straight away. After the fall out of their mother's scandal, and the subsequent divorce, Diana and her sisters, Eliza and Verity, find themselves floundering, and needing to do something to survive. Elegant Occasions was their life line, and though it wasn't right for the daughters of an Earl to work, they have found a place in society which works for them. I loved Diana, and how she was sort of the glue to keep them all together. Geoffrey was definitely rough around the edges, but growing up in Newcastle, and becoming an engineer was all he expected in life, and being told he was the new Duke of Grenwood was definitely not in the cards for him. He dislikes the aristocracy for their treatment of his parents, but he knows that the best thing for his sister is for them to travel to London, find the perfect partner for her, in case a scandal which is plaguing him comes to light. Geoffrey and Diana were the right fit for each other, and though they rubbed each other up the wrong way, the banter and chemistry between them truly allowed them to know each other, and allow for their happy ending. Bring on book 2!

Disgraced by her mother and father Diana didn’t know what to do with her life. Verity her close friend tried helping her, Until him; Geoffrey was so romantic and caring over Diana. This was a wonderful romantic story that I cozied up to. I found the story whimsical and enchanting. I liked that the book was a fast page turner. The writer filled the story with clear and simple narrative and dialogue. I always believe that this makes the book move faster.

Plot: The premise of a trio of sisters who, after a scandal, have become event planners for the ton, was one that immediately got my attention. Add in a Duke, who doesn't want to be one, and who has a secret, hiring them to plan his sister's debut? I just knew I would enjoy this book, and I was right!

Characters: Diana and Geoffrey's chemistry was great, and I loved their bantering. Their families from her sisters, Eliza and Verity, to his sister Rosy and their mother were all delightful! I'm quite looking forward to the next book, Eliza's story, and after the little hints in this novel, I'm intrigued by what Verity's story will be!

The Cover: I like it, it's pretty!

Overall: This was a wonderful adult historical romance! I really enjoyed it, and I'm quite looking forward to the next books in the series. Overall, this is one I would definitely recommend!

I received an e-ARC from the publisher.

I really, really enjoyed this book! I could barely put it down and read it in almost one sitting, I so enjoyed it. I loved the story, the plucky heroine Diana and her sisters, and the sweet, grumpy duke. Diana's parents marriage scandalously implodes, affecting her and her sisters. They decide to get out from under their father's controlling thumb and start helping friendly members of the ton to entertain and launch into society. Doing that, Diana meets Alex, a civil engineer who has unexpectedly inherited a dukedom. He is instantly drawn to her, and she gets won over and their story is pretty delightful!
The dialogue between all the characters is great, especially when Diana talks with her sisters. It is humorous and well-written. I liked the detail of the settings and the back stories of characters is done well. I learned a few things about Regency Britain that I haven't read in other books (I've read about chalking but never heard of it being called chalking, for example), and the way the things are detailed and explained fit in well with the story.
I received this book as an ARC. There was one part that kind of conflicted with the rest of the story, about 2/3 in when Diana talks about her mother a little differently than she does in the rest of the story. It was a little inconsistent but that probably will be smoothed out before the book is released and in no way affects the book. If anything, I wish we had gotten more of Diana's tumultuous parents!
I have read other Sabrina Jeffries books and this one is my favorite so far. I will definitely be doing a re-read, and I can't wait until the second of the series is released! I highly recommend picking this delightful, entertaining book up!

Well of course this was awesome!!! Seriously, if you are remotely familiar with this author then you don’t even need to read a review, you know this book is going to be amazing! If by chance you just happened to stumble across this fantastic author, well you are in for a treat. First of all this is the first book in this series, which is usually not a requirement for reading the books out of order, it just connects you early. And I was captured immediately, these sisters grabbed my attention and I held tight. I loved how well the story evolved and the perfect amount of everything that made this a page turner for me. I can’t wait to read the next sisters story.

My first thought when I started reading this book was that our heroine was going to be a real joy. I loved she knew who she was and wnt she wanted. I also enjoyed that the author wrote her as a woman I could relate to in both how she viewed the world and in her body image. All the women in this story were real women, not some size 0 who were lawless. I loved that our characters were slightly flawed.

That leads me to our hero. he to was not the typical hero. He was born into a working-class family that prided itself on knowledge, not the title. I also felt the author did a great job touching on depression and the results of it if left untreated.

This book from beginning o end was so good. I related to each character and loved seeing the passion build between the two characters.

I felt our heroine knew what she wanted and knew where she saw herself. The two lead characters were a beautiful pairing and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of their journey to finding love and happily ever after.

I can't wait to read another book from Sabrina I had forgotten how much I enjoyed her writing.

I thought this was a unique plot in historical fiction. Three sisters have been left to face society after the scandal surrounding their parents unfolds. With little options for their future, they decide to open an events planning business. Geoffrey, I newly titled Duke, hires them for his sisters coming out season. Soon sparks fly between Geoffrey and one of the sisters, Diana.
Sweet, fun, quick story. I enjoyed it and look forward to the stories of the other sisters.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I haven't read many book by Sabrina Jeffries. But this title caught my eye, and reading the description of the story made me want to read it. I would like to say it was a slam dunk read, but I can't. The lead characters, Diana and Geoffrey, have good chemistry between them. The way they banter at times is like watching a tennis match...you can't wait to see who comes out with the point. Geoffrey's younger sister Rosy blossoming from ugly ducking to elegant swan was a pleasure to see unfold. But the mystery surrounding their father's death was a bit of a let down. And the patronizing way Geoffrey hid things from them was ridiculous! He makes the mistake that most of the men in historical romances make: he assumes the women know nothing when in reality they know more than the men do! It annoyed me he was willing to jeopardize his happiness and future with Diana over someone that's dead, even if that someone is his father. Of course everything turns out well in the end...but it still felt lackluster for me. Despite this I do intend to continue the series to see how Diana's sisters find their own HEA.

voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book obtained from Netgalley. . All thoughts and opinions are my own

I didn’t really like the writing style. It felt very jumpy. I didn’t feel any real chemistry between H and h. There conversations had witty remarks but the spark was missing. There was no real story going on, the story felt dragged. However, both of the characters individually were very interesting and likeable.
The good part of the book was the side characters. I really enjoyed the sisters characters and their bonding. Even though this book really didn’t work for me , I do want to read the next book of the series.

In this, Jeffries’ 5th outing with Kensington, you will find a charming, quick read. In spite of the difficult circumstances faced by the secretive hero, our bold heroine remains invested and intriguing. Their attraction fairly sizzles as they try to come together. The rest of the cast is wonderful, as well, and waiting for the next two sisters’ stories will be a pleasure.

Three sisters, shunned by society by their parents actions, go into business helping people to learn how to entertain in society. When Diana and Geoffrey meet, sparks fly. Diana is responsible for helping Geoffrey’s sister to come out and having parties to encourage suitors. When the sisters are successful, Diana and Geoffrey must deal with their own desires. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Kensington Books for my honest review.

A Duke for Diana was quite an enjoyable read. So much so that I read it twice. The characters are well developed and worked well to create an engaging and entertaining story.

Geoffrey Brookhouse, the newly minted Duke of Greenwood is no ordinary Duke and not at all what you’d expect a Duke to be. He’s handsome, arrogant, and more than a little “boorish”, but he has a good heart. Sure, he’s a tad bit overbearing…and yea, he’s just a bit stubborn and demanding, but Geoffrey loves his family and will do whatever it takes to protect them from a secret and scandal that could destroy their lives. With the clock ticking, Geoffrey’s main objective is to safely see his sister wed. And the only way to do that is to launch her into society at the beginning of the season. As to his own love life, love and marriage are the furthest things from his mind and not at all on the table for his foreseeable future…that is until he meets Lady Diana Harper from Elegant Occasions.

Doubt not that Diana Harper is a lady. She has the grace, good fashion sense and manners to prove it. She’s smart, beautiful and gasp…dare I say it…an entrepreneur. When a family scandal makes her and her sisters social pariahs amongst London’s elite, the three sisters form Elegant Occasions, a company that caters to the very people who shun them in public.

Hired by the Duke to introduce his sister to society, Diana realizes that he too could use a make over and decides to transform the unconventional Duke as well. Despite their contentious beginning, the chemistry between the two is undeniable and the two soon discover that they have quite a bit in common and are perfect for each other. Unfortunately, Geoffrey’s secret threatens to derail any chance of happiness forming between them. He must decide if his future happiness is worth the price he’ll pay should his secret be revealed. Is he willing to risk it all for the woman he loves?

Thank You to NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book. I thought it was a unique premise, with the Duke being only a recently titled member of society, and the women having been business owners. That made it feel modern, in a way. My favorite character was Geoffrey. I enjoyed all of the parts with banter between Dianna and Geoffrey. All in all, a familiar trope but with unique sub plots that make it stand out.

WARNING SPOILERS
Sabrina Jeffries has done it again! This first book in a new series is full of characters that you’re rooting for, with problems that are relevant today. Diana and her sisters have had to deal with their parents very public divorce in the world of the ton, the end of an engagement, and the death of a husband. They manage to build a successful business in a world where women aren’t supposed to do more than keep house, and in a society where being in business is frowned upon.

Enter a man who is thrust into a title, and is responsible for taking care of his mother abs sister after the death of his father under “shameful” circumstances. Geoffrey hires the sisters to help his sister navigate her first season, but even more importantly help her realize her own confidence.

The passion between Diana and Geoffrey is swoon worthy, but their mutual respect is what makes reading about the growth of their relationship so satisfying. It makes a single girl have hope that her own Geoffrey is out there.
