Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. The plot and writing came across as being like one of those middle-of-the-road independent horror movies tied in with police procedurals. I personally don't enjoy those kinds of movies (or apparently books like that), but I know people who do and so have no doubt that this will find its audience. The reveals and discoveries were also too slow for me to stay actively interested. I skimmed from 60% onwards.

I appreciated the illustrations interspersed throughout the book and the writing style was easy and accessible - if this is your thing, you'll have a much different experience to mine.
