This was a wonderful book around Ginger, a child comedian, who’s career comes to an abrupt halt. We watch her character growth as she starts to struggle with life and what’s she’s supposed to do now, although with the challenges of being a well-known/semi-famous child star. What happens next is an incredible story about not giving up when times are hard, and you’re unsure of what to do next.
Kids young and old will love this book! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my e-copy.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange of my honest opinion.
'Ginger Mancino, Kid Comedian’ is a book that, I am sure, plenty of people will love. It is fun, it is very entertaining, it definitely has some elements that are bound to engage and attract readers.
When Ginger’s career, as a kid comedian, comes to a stop when she is just a kid, she starts struggling with life a little bit. She needs to fulfil that void, and so, together with her friend Daisy, they embark in a very interesting adventure to find a solution.
Although there is nothing wrong with the book, I could not get attached to Ginger or interested in the story. I thought it had an amazing lesson about friendship and not giving up, but somehow this book didn't do anything special for me.

Fantastic character development told through the awkward and hilarious exploits of Ginger Mancino as she settles into her new middle school after a career as a child performer. She'll have to dig deep to channel her hilarious takes into a new way of authentically making friends, appreciating her family and finding inner confidence. Inspiration comes via a delightful new friend and an unknown source as well--giving Ginger and readers a fun bonus mystery to solve. Unforgettable and perfect for kids in the arts or who see things a little differently.
