This third book in the series was just as romantic as the first two. The Wild Winchester series is easily my favorite historical romance series. The characters are fun and quirky, and the romance the aspect of found family is extremely heartwarming.

I think that Graham and Kuni's blossoming relationship was so fun to read and because of the external conflict you could really see deeper into the side of Graham that throws caution to the wind.

This is the second book I've read about the Winchesters and the third in the series. While it is standalone, reading in order is probably best to understand the dynamics between the families.

The first thing that I absolutely adored about the book was Kuni. She was a strong, smart character, a warrior through and through who wanted to make sure she was recognized for her skill.

Graham Winchester was fun character too- a royal wannabe, he wanted to somehow get in good with the Royals. Both characters were Black so the book didn't shy away from some of the difficulties associated with that during that time period (and relevant to today as well).

While I enjoyed the humor, the banter and the overall fun nature of the book, the romance felt secondary. I thought there were a few soapbox scenes. There's also a bit of unbelievability; yes all these books require us to put aside our perception of reality but Kuni's brother, two celebrated and acclaimed warriors, couldn't figure out that she was staying and hiding out at quite a prestigious hotel? (This was before she ran into Graham). It just seemed a little far fetched.

Overall, a fun little adventure and I definitely like these character and will want to revisit them. Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the early read.

This was so different from any Regency Period books I have read. I loved the difference. I should have not been surprised because I generally like everything written by Erica Ridley. I loved the perspective differences as well.

Another Wild Winchester finds their HEA. Seems someone loves royalty but that causes doubt when a real princess shows. Lots of tension affecting the budding romance. So does the princess’s plan for her life. Great addition to series.

I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t like this book when the first few pages didn’t draw me in, but I’m happy to report my fears were unfounded. This was my first foray into the world of the Wild Wynchesters, and I found them all to be delightful. Our not quite a princess Kuni is plucky and earnest. Her would be rescuer Graham is fearless and charming. The missions these two embark on separately and together are fun, fast paced, and *very* thoroughly detailed. The hijinks overshadow the romance just a tiny bit, but overall it was still a very very enjoyable read.

Kuni comes to England to prove herself as a Royal Guardsmen in order to honor her family tradition. She thinks she’ll be going back to her found family in the other Guardsmen, but what happens when she meets Graham and the rest of the Wynchesters and she finds that she doesn’t need to prove herself to them?

I really have enjoyed the Wynchesters’ books so far!! This book was good and so sweet and I love how it showed us the past couples as well as revealed a little more about the other siblings! This book also does a great job (imo) addressing race as it applies to situations like this and the perceptions that people have/

The Wynchesters are at it again this time Graham meets his match. Kunigunde who Graham mistakens for a princess but who really wants to be the first female Royal Guard. Opposites attract.

This is a delightful, enjoyable read with very likable characters.

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

It was fun getting to revisit the Wynchesters. I have fallen in love with each one over the series, even though each book can be read as a standalone, I wouldn’t. The ending was fitting and left me with that happy satisfaction after a heartwarming romance. The beginning was definitely a little too long that it dragged on a little. I am glad I stuck with it, because it was rewarding. Book provided by NetGalley.

We always buy Erica Ridley for our library. Our patrons adore her. She writes the perfect blend of romance, wit, and plot.

This unfortunately was not one of Erica's stories that I liked. It was just ok for me. I usually enjoy this author's stories but this one just seemed slow to me. I am sad to say I would pass on this one.

When Graham Wynchester begins seeing coded messages regarding a missing royal princess in the London scandal sheets, he immediately jumps into action. There is nothing Graham loves more than gathering information and helping a person in-need, all the better if it fulfills a fantasy of his to meet true royalty. Kunigunde de Heusch (Kuni) is does not need rescuing, but she does end up taking advantage of Graham's hero complex to help her evade her overprotective brothers. Kuni is on a mission of her own to collect intelligence and become the first Royal Guardswoman in Balcovia. She is determined not to let historical convention, her brothers, or the increasingly alluring Graham Wynchester sway her from her path. There is no denying their mutual attraction though and the two agree on a brief flirtation during the length of Kuni's stay in London as she will reside with the Wynchester family offering her the perfect refuge for her fortnight stay. However, the more she gets to know the Wynchester family and is welcomed into their schemes, the more she begins to wonder if perhaps the sense of belonging and family she's always sought can truly be found

A sweet Regency romance with two extremely likeable characters. I appreciated the individuality of Kuni especially and learning more about her family background and history growing up introduced increasingly complex elements to the story. The Wynchester family is a delight and it was wonderful to learn more about Graham's background. This is the third book in The Wild Wynchesters series. It can be read as a standalone, but there is a little bit of background/relationship building you may miss with the proceeding siblings. Overall, while very enjoyable, this novel lacked a little tension for me between the two characters. Their biggest hurdle is their preconceived notion of what they should be doing with their lives and what it means to be a hero.

I love this series so much and am legitimately excited about every sibling's entry. Much like the first two books in the series, this was a fun, feel good romance that I really enjoyed reading! Kuni is a great character, and I'm excited to see her as a side character in future books.

This book was kind of a miss for me. The characters seemed like caricatures. I understand you can have a character who has a passion or hobby, but if they don’t have any other characteristics it seems fake. For example, Elizabeth pulls her sword on Kunigunde the first time they meet. Elizabeth can love swords but it makes no sense that she would pull a sword on a person the first time she meets someone. Every character was like this. The plot was equally as unbelievable as the characters, so it was a struggle to get through this for me. I feel like there was so much potential. The characters could have been likeable with a little more depth.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for review.

Nobody’s Princess is a story that revolves around Graham and Kunigunde’s individual dreams and how those dreams intersect and connect them, while at the same time, threaten any future together.

Graham has spent his life at perfecting reconnaissance and security. He does so with the hope that he will be acknowledged by a royal. Graham is obsessed with royalty. If his dreams came to fruition, Graham wonders if people would stop rebuffing him publicly because of his darker skin? Graham’s other obsession is finding out more about Balcovia, his father’s native country.

When Graham meets Kunigunde two of his dreams come true-he rescues a princess and she is Balcovian! But Kunigunde is not a princess and she is in no need of rescuing. Kunigunde is there on her own mission, and has her own dreams to become a Royal Guard for the king of Balcovia. She is hoping to prove herself through her reconnaissance mission in London.

The plot brings Kunigunde and the Wynchester’s together to vindicate men, women, and children who are exploited in the cotton factories. A large portion of the book is dedicated to the plot and family dynamics.
I found there to be a lack of development in the romance between Graham and Kuni. On the other hand, the wooing of Kunigunde by the menagerie that is the Wynchester’s, stands out as the leading love story.

If you are already a fan of the Wynchester’s, I believe you will enjoy this installment in the series. The series has not grabbed me at this point, but perhaps Elizabeth’s book will as I do have an affinity with her feisty spirit and her rapier wielding canes.

I am reading an advanced copy of this book at the time of review, so the details of my commentary may not be completely relevant to the final, published copy.

Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley and Erica Ridley for an advanced copy of this eARC. All opinions are my own.

A story about found family, love, and heritage. The Winchester’s were very funny. The love was okay, I didn’t feel it and there were just so many antics that it kind of felt secondary to the plot. If you like theatrics with your historical romance I think you’ll enjoy this. For me the writing just didn’t hook me.

Very little Steam but a lot pining.

This was yet another wonderful Wynchesters novel! I had a more difficult time getting into this one at first, I think because Graham was a character we didn’t get to know well in the previous books and Kuni was brand new. But before long, I was sucked into the story. I’m so glad we got to know Graham, who was an outstanding hero; I wanted to knock Kuni over the head a few times for taking so long to realize what she had with Graham, but I loved her as well. And this one was one of my favorite Wynchester adventures!

I am a huge fan of Erica Ridley's writing but Nobody's Princess was a big disappointment for me. I was so bored while reading the book that I put it down several times and then came back to it. The story begins very promising with the hero Graham Wynchester rescuing the "princess" Kunigunde de Heusch which isn't an actual rescue since she is being followed by her brothers. Then we learn that she is on a mission to gather intelligence but really all she does is walk about and look around. I enjoyed the romance and the story of the Wynchesters but the main characters just fell flat. I was very disappointed with this book.

The Wild Wynchesters are back. This time Graham finds his HEA.

What I liked most about this book was how Kuni got a chance to spend time with each of the Wynchester siblings and they all had a chance to fall in love with her and she with them. We get a deeper look into the Wynchester family, and I can't wait to read the other siblings' stories, but we also read about the lives of people of colour in Regency England. It's not as glum as my last sentence might sound, Erica Ridley knows how to spin a good yarn and tackle difficult topics without bogging down the story. After all, it's a sweet romance between two ambitious people.

Yet another splendidly awesome book. I absolutely adore any and all of this series!

Now that I've finished the full book, I can say that it was everything I was hoping and more. I absolutely loved every second I spent with the Wynchesters, of course, and Kunigunde makes an excellent addition. I wish I could *be* a Wynchester, but reading about them is a close second. They are my favorite fictional family -- the Bridgertons don't even come close.

This book is fiercely feminist, with Kunigunde determined to be the first female Royal Guard of Balcovia, and equally determined to accept no help from anyone to get there. Over her time with the Wynchesters she learns the value of family, friendship, and that having people on your side to help isn't a weakness at all.

I really like how Erica Ridley took two characters with ambitions and goals that are diametrically opposed and brings them around to the same side eventually with the realization that it's ok to let go of long-held dreams in order to reach for something *better.* I also really appreciate that both parties here opted for new dreams over old ones. It felt very balanced.

I also really appreciate the many issues that are touched on here. They carry weight with the story and feel organic and not forced at all. Slavery, racial equality, feminism, the plight of factory workers, cruel factory owners, lazy aristocracy, the frustrating slowness of Parliament and legislative change, chronic illness, child labor, mistreated animals... I'm sure I missed some. The Wynchesters tackle all of these.

One of my favorite things about this book is how Kunigunde spends time with each of the Wynchester siblings and comes to appreciate them and care for them all. It's not just a romance between her and Graham, it involves the whole family. She has secret painting projects with Marjorie and they teach one another sign language and Balcovian. She terrorizes the university bullies with Elizabeth. She trains with Graham. She steals an antbear with Jacob, she watches Parliament with Chloe, she attends the reading circle with Philippa, she talks costumes with Tommy... and she opts to put off her own reconnaissance mission to help the Wynchesters on their mission to save a town of impoverished factory workers from their cruel factory owner.

The involvement of the Wynchester siblings doesn't diminish the romance between Kunigunde and Graham, which is terribly swoony. Even though they are both rather pig-headed about the whole thing, they do eventually end up on the same page and it was delightful going on that journey with them.

Elizabeth once again stole my heart in this book as my favorite secondary character, and I cannot wait to read her story because it is bound to be epic. And feature a LOT of swords.
