My first Wild Wynchester experience was the fantastic The Perks of Loving a Wallflower. It was one of my favorite titles of last year. Then I read the first book, The Duke Heist, and loved that one almost as much. So my expectations of this third book were pretty high. But I have to admit that this one was a bit disappointing for me.

Graham is a royalty-obsessed man always on the lookout for a princess to rescue. Kuni is a woman from a foreign land who is definitely NOT a princess and does not need anyone to rescue her, thankyouverymuch. But when they meet, Graham does rescue Kuni, and their adventures begin when he brings her home to meet the rest of the Wynchester clan. But I was left confused after Kuni evades her brothers and then...that's it? The brothers' dogged pursuit of her seems like it would not have just ended after that attempt. I also yearned for more...well...yearning. This was an extremely low-angst story right up until the last day. I like a good, slow burn, but only if the author can build the attraction the whole way. I just wasn't feeling that magnetic pull between them until the end.

What did I like? A lot. I'm always excited to get to see these wonderful characters and catch up with them and their lives and their exploits. I loved the glimpse into Graham's past that we got, along with an understanding of his trauma. I liked the mission that the family embarked upon and the people they were able to help. However, I feel like too much of this book was focused on the mission, and there was not enough time spent on Graham and Kuni as a couple. In the previous books the couple took center stage and the missions were the background story, but in this book it was reversed. And that I think is at the heart of my disappointment.

But on the whole this was a cute read and I am always down for another Wynchester story, so keep them coming!

I loved(!!!) the dynamics between Graham and Kuni ESPECIALLY.. how sensitive and positive Graham is about Kuni wanting to become the first Royal Guardswoman in her country. He’s the first person to show any interest in her desire to accomplish it. AND he thinks of Kuni AS AN EQUAL to himself. I also adored how all eight Winchesters included her into their found family just as she was a member too, and in their latest escapade helping the less fortunate. I fell right into the first 25% of this book. I was so excited for Graham and Kuni's story. But then he left. I really struggled with their separation. I enjoyed her friendship with the other characters. I liked getting to know them better. I just really wanted more from the couple and their romance.

Graham is my favorite Wynchester and I was so excited about his book. Unfortunately, I did not feel his story. The win for this story as with many of Erica’s books is the sense of family and close relationships. I love the family dynamic. The not so much win was the pace of the book – it was too slow for me. That being said, I still love the Wynchesters and their compassion for humankind. I am sure lots of people liked this book but having read many of Erica’s books, this was not bad it just was okay.

What truly defines a person’s worth? Is it, as is so often the case, what’s between their legs or, as it rightfully should be, what’s between their ears? This book, subtly and not so subtly, asks the question: does a person’s outside appearance determine their value? It takes the humane stance that the outward packaging has little bearing on ability while also accurately portraying the reality that humans make judgements based on what they see. Both Kuni and Graham want the world to acknowledge them for themselves and to be deemed “enough”. Through the course of this book, we fall in love with their hearts all while they’re falling for one another’s. They kept me laughing and they made me ugly-cry. It’s safe to say that this Wild Wynchester tale has some of everything in it. I also recommend keeping the tissues handy because you’re most likely going to need them. And even though I’ve only just finished reading this, I already can’t wait to read the next Wynchester.

All were adopted by Baron Vanderbean, Marjorie, Elizabeth, Jacob, Chloe, Tommy and Graham. He gave them all a home and helped them to believe in themselves and what they could do together for good.

Graham is the master of intelligence with a massive collection on everything that goes on in London.
His many notebooks help the family with what every they need for whatever mission comes up. While searching for anything new he come across coded messages that someone, a princess needs recusing.

Kunigunde de Heusch, Kumi has always dreamed of following her family in becoming the first Royal Guards woman. She has secretly come to London to prove she can gather information better than her two brothers who are already Guardsman. Till she meets Graham and spends time with each of his brothers and sisters. She has never had a family, in Balcovia her and her brother were raised away from their parents. She has looked for someone to believe she was good enough and treat her like a member of the family.
So, what can happen when you put two very dedicated people who have devoted their lives to different plans ? From the first time they meet and speak the attraction was instantaneous. Both felt it and knew they couldn't act on it. His life is in London with his family's mission and her is across the sea in a different county. This is a story of learning, growing , trusting and finding what one can live with and without. Many have said this is not a romance, WHAT !! This is the most romantic story I've read in a long time. The under current between Graham and Kumi feeling as they do but both understanding she is leaving it heart wrenching... one needs to read between the lines to really understand this
great story. There is intrigue, danger, learning and secrets told.
This whole series is not to be missed and should be read in order. I can't wait for the next book

I love this series, but this one just wasn't for me. I loved Graham and Kuni, but they are rarely alone together on page and the focus of this story is the mystery/social justice plot. Which would be fine if it didn't slow all the way down in the middle. The books in this series have to balance the romance/action/adventure/mystery in a way that is hard in a romance where I just want to see the couple having cute moments. Which these two have a few of, but not enough for me to believe the romance.

I honestly liked seeing all the Wynchesters the best as the romance was just okay to me. I'm hoping that the rest of the books in the series isolate the couple a bit more because even though I love the Wynchester siblings dearly I am reading the books to be with the main couple.

There were some excellent lines and I did love the beginning of this book so much (how they meet was so fun), but the book sort of fizzled out for me as we went along.

Nobody’s Princess is an enticing, adventurous tale that sweeps you away to London in 1818 and into the life of Kunigunde de Heusch, a fierce, independent young woman who embarks on a mission to do whatever it takes to prove on her own that she deserves to be the first Royal Guardswoman in her home country of Balcovia, even if it means turning down the help of the resourceful, handsome Graham Wynchester who is definitely one of the most knowledgeable men in England.

The prose is warm and tender. The characters are charismatic, endearing, and supportive. And the plot is an amusing blend of family, friendship, mystique, attraction, action, adventure, hilarious hijinks, awkward situations, and unconditional love.

Nobody’s Princess is the third title in one of my all-time favourite historical romance series, The Wild Wynchesters. It’s a humorous, charming, entertaining read by Ridley with characters I couldn’t help but root for and a swoon-worthy ending that left me once again smitten, satisfied, and ecstatic that there’s more still to come!

I had some fears when at the beginning of the book, I perceived Graham as a strutting peacock and his siblings summarized by a simple adjective, bloodthirsty Elizabeth or Softhearted Jacob, it was also the way they were reductively introduced and portrayed along the pages.
But I wanted to like this story, the two previous books were fun so why not this one.

Was I not in the right mood?
I never really felt a connection between Graham and Kuni, they have their own agenda and those barely meet in the middle, both determined to follow their path.
I commiserated with Graham as I at some level understand his need to be recognized and to stay with the family fate and chance granted him, Kuni is more difficult to understand, it is great to want to break a wall and be the first but her dream is more the challenge than the real job behind her goal. Yet she is willing to live a lonesome life even when love is wishing her reach.

The one thing that saved the romance is she chose Graham before knowing if she would have succeeded, I would have hated for him to be her second choice.

Sure the dynamic between the siblings is what is entertaining and what I liked much, they are all outrageous and amusing, a kind version of the Umbrella academy siblings without the rivalries and dislikes.
Still this book was a miss for me.

Nobody's Princess is another installment in the Wild Wynchesters series by Erica Ridley. I read the previous book - The Perks of Being a Wallflower and enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to this one.

For a romance, we don't really get the couple together on page very much and Kuni spends most of the book (like almost all of it) not wanting to be in a relationship and going on about wanting to be a guard to the princess. Graham is all about meeting royalty and is also all about this mission to rescue a royal.

I didn't think there was a lot between Kuni and Graham and almost no buildup. It mainly was action/mission stuff, which I enjoy in romance, but romance has to be primary to everything else for it to work for me. It was hard to read about Kuni resisting Graham for so long when he was really supportive of her. That's too much of a slow burn for me.

I do look forward to reading more from the author though because I did enjoy the previous book in this series. Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for an eARC copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

This series continues to be a true adventure. Graham and Kuni may be the perfect match. Both live to protect and defend others. Both feel extreme loyalty to their families. Both love to be physically active. The one problem? They live in completely different countries. Kuni is in England for 30 days on a reconnaissance
mission in order to prove herself worth of become a Royal Guard to her beloved Princess that she has been a companion to all her life. Being a Royal Guard is part of the family legacy and Kuni wants to prove herself capable to not just her brothers but to all girls out there dreaming for more. What she didn't anticipate is Graham and the reset of the Winchester family.

It was instant love for Graham. He believes Kuni not only beautiful but able to achieve anything she puts her mind to...including becoming a Royal Guard in her home of Balcovia. He just wishes that she didn't have to go. This is not just a love story but that of found family. The Wynchesters are as lovable as ever and include Kuni into their circle in a way that she never realized she was missing in her life. This book has adventure, hope and champions the notion of helping others. It is whimsical and fun and a great escape. I have enjoyed spending time with this family and look forward to more in the future.

Loved reading the amazing and captivating romance story. When Kunigunde de Heusch, Kuni, is trying to escape her two brother, Graham Wynchester comes to her rescue. Even though Kuni's one goal in life is to become a Royal Guard to the Princess, she finds it difficult to stop her feelings for Graham. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and riveting must read love story by the extraordinary author, Erica Ridley.

This story took awhile for me to settle into. At times I felt that Kuni and Graham were more immature than the age they were supposed to be. Both seemed to have fairytale dreams of who and what they wanted to be that were not really reality based. Graham wanted to save a princess and to be important or acknowledged by royalty while Kuni wanted to become the first female guardsman in a country where women would never be allowed to do so. I did keep reading and did enjoy the story but didn’t relate quite as easily to this couple as I have to some previous ones in books I have read and loved by this author.

What I liked:
* Peeking in on the the Wynchesters and finding out how they are doing…those that have coupled off and those that have not yet done so
* Graham: current head of the family, adopted from a circus, has a difficult backstory, a romantic, taken by the idea of royalty, wants to be important, desires to be noticed and acknowledged, family oriented, has strong immediate feelings for Kuni
* Kuni: bright, strong, resilient, had a difficult though pampered childhood, has goals and dreams that don’t allow much flexibility, from a foreign-not English country, seeks to be the guardsman of her country’s princess, puts her goals before personal desires, learns and grows through the story
* That the Wynchesters are so close, do so much good for others, and are there for one another
* The case the family took on this time
* That each Wynchester family member is so different…though at times the quirkiness might have been a bit over the top
* That this story ended well with a lead into the book that will come next

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Not connecting to Graham and Kuni as quickly as I would have liked to
* Having to wait for the next book in the series

Would I read more in this series? Yes

With every new book in this series, I fall more and more in love with the Wynchester family. They have truly stolen my heart.

I was absolutely delighted that Kuni was not an actual princess, her desire and determination to be a guardswoman was something I easily cheered for. I love historical romance that buck the traditional gender roles.

I would recommend this book and series to any historical romance reader that loves adventure. This one especially had a Robin Hood like feel to it.

The romance aspect felt a little slow, and their connection didn’t click for me until the very end of the book.

This book felt very much about found family, and the Wynchester family as a whole. Kuni looking for family rather than love. I think I would have connected with this book more if I had gone in with the expectation this was a fiction read rather than a romance. While there is a romance subplot it is not the brunt of the story and this more focuses on Kuni's journey to find her place and her own journey.

I love the Wynchester siblings and love how they always band together.

Oh boy, do I love this wild bunch of Wynchester siblings! I can’t wait to read more about this unique, quirky family!

I especially liked the heroine in this story; Kuni is courageous and out to forge her own path. She wants to do things on her own and is no damsel in distress. I like how the relationship with Graham helps her see that she can rely on someone she loves and not lose part of herself in the process.

Like the previous books this one is full of funny exchanges and witty dialogue. The family reminds me of an even quirkier version of the Bridgerton siblings.

What I loved about Nobody’s Princess is the strong bond the Wynchester siblings have for one another. These are individuals rescued and made into a family—this family work to help those who cannot help themselves. The family dynamic is beautiful. I felt the plot lagged, and the pace was slow through the book's first half. However, the book's last third picked up the speed and caught my attention.

Both Graham and Kuni are exceptional characters. Graham was rescued from deplorable conditions as a child and now works to help others. I thought him noble, more so than those princesses he dreams of saving. Initially, Graham seemed superficial; however, as the story develops, Graham’s strength and goodness shine through. Kuni is determined to become the first female guardsman in her country. Kuni wants to prove herself. I loved how Kuni recognizes eventually that letting others help you isn’t a weakness but a strength. There was a connection from the first page between Graham and Kuni. The love story moved slowly yet built into a passionate culmination.

Nobody’s Princess is the third book in The Wild Wynchesters series. I enjoyed the characters, the family dynamic, and the basis of the plot. The story's pace could be sped up, and the plot could have delved more deeply in the beginning. That being said, everything picked up in the second half of the novel. I feel Nobody’s Princess is a solid romance; the upcoming books in this series could be excellent. I enjoyed the Wynchesters and will read more of the sibling’s stories.

The was maybe the first historical romance I’ve ever read that featured BIPOC, so that was refreshing. Our Hero is Graham, information collector and parkour-enthusiast of the Wynchesters. And our Heroine is Kuni, a lady-in-waiting to the Balcovian Princess, working to prove herself worthy of becoming a King’s guard. They stumble upon each other, and Graham helps her escape from her overprotective (but unsupportive) brothers so she then spends the rest of her month at the Wynchesters’ home, getting to know all the siblings.

So many things happened in Nobody’s Princess, but I felt like I missed a bit of the romance. Graham and Kuni are separate for a big chunk of the time, and it was as if this story was about Kuni’s character growth. And hey, I did love that part. Graham’s obsession with royalty did give me pause, as I started to wonder if this romance was real or an impulse. As much as I enjoyed the book, I am not quite believing of their HEA.

But there was so much else great about Nobody’s Princess. The side characters, the discussion on labor laws, how slavery and colonization affected so many countries. It was also very well-written and the storyline was well-paced.

Completely taken with this series and can’t wait for more.

The story sounded promising but ultimately was a bit of a let down.
I have really enjoyed The Wild Wynchesters series so far, so I was excited to jump into the next installment. Especially when it's supposed to be about spies and a woman whose been trained how to fight.
For me, there was just something lacking this time around. I think the romance fell a bit flat. There was hardly any chemistry or interactions between them that I didn't particularly care if they ended up together or not.
I'm a little confused about what the plot was too.
I did enjoy the characters on their own. I loved how badass the heroine was and supportive hero. I just think they weren't matched well.

A lovely addition to the series, from the gorgeous cover through the final page. Very slow-burn, though worth the wait, as Kuni and Graham grow and change for the better through their love for one another. I also loved getting to see Kuni form close relationships with Graham's siblings—it worked very well without bogging down the plot or the romance.

Overall I love this series and wholeheartedly recommend it! Based on the ending, my guess is that Marjorie's book is next as she tracks down (and perhaaaaps falls in love with?) the counterfeiter mentioned in the epilogue. I can't wait!
