I did not know how much I needed this steamy, swoony romance until I binged it in my pajamas on a snowy night. This story of Alec and Gigi was fast paced, steamy and full of so much feeling that I couldn't stop reading even if I wanted to. I read through dinner and pretended like I didn't even have kids. When childhood friends, Alec and Gigi meet in an airport through a delay, their one night stand turns into much more. Scandal, a breaking and very twisty story for reporter, Gigi, and his surprise fame add tension to an already steamy love story. I read this and immediately texted some of my book besties to get it on their radar.

For fans of Tessa Bailey, Christina Lauren, and maybe Lauren Layne's older, steamier books - Scandalized is a must read.

Wow! First, look at the absolutely gorgeous cover. I need a copy of this for my shelves. The cover is part of what caught my attention straight away.

Alec and Gigi get stranded in Seattle when the plane they are both booked on for a layover from London to Los Angeles is cancelled. And then Gigi recognizes Alec as the brother of her best friend from middle school, the first boy she ever had a crush on. Seeing each other again fourteen years later, their chemistry is so hot.

This romance has everything:
- truly wonderful main characters
- celebrity crush vibes
- fabulous best friend
- so much steam (off the charts open door)

The author includes a content warning at the start. Gigi is writing a story about sexual assault cases, and some aspects of those cases are described. Gigi's work as a journalist is so impressive, and it adds a really powerful and emotional tone to the whole book.

I always want to like the characters in a romance, and I especially loved both Alec and Gigi. This book tore me to pieces and then put me back together. I flew through it and already want to read it again.

Thank you so much to Ivy Owens, Gallery Books, and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy. These opinions are my own.

Not sure how I can top Ali Hazelwood’s amazing review of Scandalized but here we go….

I casually started this book mid-afternoon on Valentine’s Day – suffice to say, my plans consisted of just Scandalized that day. Ivy Owens, I COULD NOT PUT THIS DOWN. A million hearts and fire emojis for this book, GIGI AND ALEC, EDEN, SUNNY, YAEL, AND THE STEAMY SEXY SCENES.

Scandalized starts out with a chaotic situation – Georgia “Gigi” is stranded at the airport overnight in a storm with no hotel rooms available nearby. Lo and behold, Gigi runs into Alec, her childhood best friend’s older brother. Seeing as he is gorgeous, put together, and wonderful, he offers his hotel room for the night. YOU CAN ONLY GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

What could have been a raunchy story turned out to be a very sweet one. A one-night stand that turns into a two-week whirlwind romance full of lots of obstacles and cute moments…get ready to feel all the feels. This book had a good mix of drama (not even in the romance department but with every day normal things like Gigi's and Alec's work), friendship (EDEN + GIGI forever), and the romance.

Big thank you to Ivy Owens for this advanced reader copy! She warned me beforehand that this book is steamy and honestly, I hope for more Gigi and Alec stories but I'm excited for whatever comes next! What a quick and wonderful read, this is a new favorite book of mine that I can’t wait to talk more about when it releases in August 2022!

Fast and steamy read. I really liked Gigi but I couldn’t help but find Alec too perfect and aloof so that’s why I could not really connect with him.

Some dialogues left me confused and I had to reread once or twice to get the gist of them.

All in all really entertaining, especially if you have any interest in anything Korea related (there are many references).

Scandalized is crackling with tension and desire from the first page and it doesn’t wane until the very last. Georgia and Alec are electric and it is a pleasure to root for them throughout. This book is fire!
