Sennen digs to find out about her grandmother's past and discovers that she was in love before meeting her grandfather.

As she digs through the past, she discovers more about her love that wasn't meant to be, a song, a beach and finds the answers to her own story along the way.

There are parallels between her and grandma's life, but it also opens up her life to the possibility of more.

I like the storyline but had a hard time getting into the story.

This was a wonderful book, set in Cornwall at exactly the same area that I love Padstow and Port Issac. This was such a lovely book that I wish I could give it more than five stars. I raced through this as I wanted to know how things turn out and it was just as I’d hoped. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

A story that easily flows, I quite liked Sennen and there were some funny parts in the book. Interesting female characters her Gran Morwenna, and Victoria as well. I enjoyed the poetic way it was written set against the lovely setting of the Cornish seascape.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book.

A lovely story set in Cornwall, it was so well described I could actually imagine the village, the big house and the beach etc
I hadn't realised there are other Cornish Escape books so will definitely go and find the others to read

This is my first time reading anything by this author and it definitely won't be me last. Such a wonderful story set in the most beautiful place described so well I could visualise myself there. Such a captivating story about finding the right person for you despite huge differences in class. Despite who or where you come from your upbringing doesn't define who you will love. I really didn't want this story to end

Any book set in Cornwall has my full attention from the outset and this was a lovely example of such a story. Not only could I imagine being there on that beautiful beach but I could happily have been friends with the lovely characters that inhabit the pages of this book. The sweet romance between the two lead characters included some mystery and a little magic which added to the enjoyment. Other characters like best friend, Jas, and others were all very likeable people. All in all this was a warm and tender romance perfect for reading on a summer beach or by a winter fireside. Just lovely. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC for which I am happy to give my honest review.

If you like romance novels with a bit of mystery thrown in you’ll enjoy this book, and it would be great for an easy holiday read. I loved the setting and descriptions of Cornwall, and although I was intrigued to find out what happened in the end I have to say that the two main characters grated on my nerves a bit! Tremaine cried too much for me, and I can’t cope with all the ‘my poor baby/darling’ speak. It makes me cringe! The ending was predictable, and as I’d hoped. So, just an OK read for me but a great read for those who like a bit of slush. Thanks to the Netgalley and the publishers for the advanced copy.

A poignant summer read set in sunny Cornwall. Sennen finds her grandmother's treasure box containing an 18th century glass and an intriguing note. Likeable characters and two love stories, in a typical Cornish town with an art gallery, bakery and fishermen plying their trade, make this escapism at its best.

The Forgotten Beach by Amanda James is the 3rd book in the Cornish Escape series. This story has a past story being told along with the modern day happenings. It's all intertwined. It was so much more than just a romance as it encapsulated love and loss and mystery and intrigue and how events of the past could shape the future. Highly recommend this series!

Loved the storyline about how Sennen finds her grans old memory box and tries to go back to where her gran and her young sweet heart lived to find out more.
It's a good story with great characters and a fascinating setting, the old house and beach sound lovely.
Really looking forward to reading more Amanda James books, as this was my first but I think she's one to watch out for!
Thank you netgalley

Sennen, an artist who runs a shop in a Cornish beach town, meets Tremaine, a lawyer overseeing the rehab of his family's home, when she's wandering along thinking about her grandmother's life. She'd had no idea that her grandmother had an epic love before her grandfather but now she's intrigued by the idea of a glass that will show your true love if you use it to toast on New Year's Eve. She's also a bit stung by Josh, her most recent love interest so she's happy to be friends with Tremaine, who has had his own troubles. Fans of of the genre can guess without spoilers from me what will happen but the story is nicely told AND it's set in Cornwall (I'm a sucker for novels set in Cornwall!). Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

A love story from long ago. A poem found on a forgotten beach. As Cornish artist Sennen delves into her grandmother’s past, she is about to discover what links them.

A sweet love story with a good cast of characters which was an easy and enjoyable read.

A beautiful love story that spans generations, a bit of a mystery to solve and an old house with a forgotten beach. I loved how the old house slowly got renovated and came back to life plus I could picture the steps down to the private beach with the cave. I enjoyed the family and friends who were woven into the story too.

It’s a book you can lose yourself in and a real page turner. For me it fully deserves five stars .

At first this seems like a typical romance novel, but the supernatural element elevates it. Loved the relationship between the main female character and her best friend. The parents and brother also turn this into more of a saga than a mills and boon. Very readable, but maybe a little long winded at the beginning.
