"Never underestimate your struggle, grit, or resilience. The very root of it all is your own superpower for success."

As a first generation immigrant, Daniela Pierre-Bravo is using her platform to encourage women of color to own our power. Daniela overcame many obstacles to get to where she is professionally - she went from having a dream to realizing it by becoming a TV producer, journalist and author.

I enjoyed reading about Daniela's professional journey and could relate to many of the challenges she had to navigate as a Latinx women dealing with self-doubt, workplace politics, and micro aggressions in her field. She writes about how, for many of us in the BIPOC community, we have been taught to remain humble and to simply be grateful for the opportunities we are presented with. She reminds us the these are opportunities we have earned.

She encourages us to shift our mindset to a more empowering one where we show up as an authority in our lives both personally and professionally. This book reads like a manifesto for women and I am so here for it!

Thank you to the author and publisher for the E-arc copy.
