This graphic novel is so cute! I adored the cast of eclectic and charming characters and the nature of this little tale. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful with a sweet pastel palette.

A beautifully illustrated story that is very reminiscent of the film Spirited Away with an art style that echoes that of Tove Jansson.

Loved it to pieces and it’s filled with bits of humour and unforgettable characters. This is sure to be a hit with children and adults alike. Could easily see this being adapted as an animated film or series.

An odd, dreamy little book with a somewhat meandering story; I couldn't really get into it, but I could see fans of Alice in Wonderland and/or Over the Garden Wall finding it charming. The art style is unique and the colors are beautiful, but again, not for me, I don't think.

This was so, so, so incredibly sweet, and weird, and dreamy.
It makes me think of Over the Garden Wall, but summertime, and with an art style similar to old French comics from the 60’s.

This is a fun middle grade graphic novel about a little girl named Jo who is having some trouble with her parents getting a divorce, and the fact that she has a new stepmother. While she is camping with them, she decides to run away, and when she does she embarks on a fun, whimsical adventure where she learns she really does want to be home after all.

I loved the art, and the story was fun too! I liked how her troubles with accepting her parents divorce were worked into her “adventure” too.

I was given an advanced reader's copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own

This was a fun, whimsical book. This is the story of a young girl not yet ready to face her parents' divorce and her father's remarriage, which brought along two step-sisters. While on a camping trip, she wanders off into the forest where she comes upon a whole new world filled with amphomorphic animals and animal/human-like creatures. They are in the middle of a battle with a tyrant. There is action, adventure, light violence, and some light cursing with adult topics mentioned. I think the topics are more suitable for 10 and above. I really enjoyed both the story and the art.
