I really, really enjoyed reading this book! It was thrilling and captivating, and it just kept me hooked the whole time!

I could not put this book down. I loved it! It is my first of this series but it will not be my last. I love the characters, the storyline, and the pace in which this story moved. I will be following this author and this series from now on.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Do No Harm is the third Lucas Page book, but the first one I have read. Doctors are dying at an alarming rate, but nobody seems to notice because some deaths are accidents, suicides, or other reasons. Lucas Page, bothered by the number of deaths, does the math and believes they are all murders. He has to prove it to the authorities, figure out the motives, and catch the killer(s). It is good. Scary, thrilling, unbelievably good! I highly recommend it!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of the ARC I received.

Review of Uncorrected Digital Galley

After suffering severe injuries in an explosion, Lucas Page stepped away from the FBI. But his unique skillset . . . spotting patterns no one else can see . . . keep him involved in FBI investigations.

The suicide of his wife Erin’s friend Jennifer draws Lucas into the case as a pattern reveals itself to him. Someone is killing doctors and, although many of the deaths seem to be suicides or accidents, Lucas soon realizes that they are murders . . . and Erin may be the next victim.

=========

Third in the author’s Lucas Page series, this compelling tale follows “Under Pressure” but works well as a standalone. The characters are diverse, believable, and interesting; many are familiar from the previous two books. The relationships between them continue to build in a plausible manner; Lucas and FBI Agent Whitaker have an amazing relationship!

While readers are kept guessing, unexpected events bring new revelations and unforeseen surprises to this police procedural. An undercurrent of tension keeps the suspense building but humorous moments help keep it from becoming overpowering. The clever plot, with its fast pace, pulls readers in from the outset and the compelling, intricate story keeps the pages turning.

Recommended.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review -
Someone is killing the doctors and it is being done as murders, suicides, and accidents.
Lucas, an ex FBI agent who has been severely wounded takes on the challenge. He is unique as he can recognize patterns others can't. When he sees the pattern that the next murder will be his wife the pressure is on to find the killer or killers and the reason why. What a book!

The third Lucas Page book moves the series along nicely, continuing to develop the characters and their relationships. A well paced plot, excellent characters, and unexpected twists kept me reading late into the night. Can't wait for the next installment. Highly Recommended

Lucas Page, the star of this compelling novel, DO NO HARM (Lucas Page #3 of #). He is quite the intriguing and genius man—an astrophysicist, former FBI agent, university professor, and famous author.

He was seriously injured in a previous accident that left him without an eye and with a prosthetic arm and leg. He has devoted himself to his wife, Erin, a pediatric surgeon, and their five adopted children.

A series of suicides and accidental deaths in the medical community are well-disguised murders, and only Lucas Page can see the pattern and discern the truth that no one else believes.

Not that he is looking to solve any crimes, but when at a foundation's annual charity dinner to raise money for NYC's poorest hospitals leads him to a shocking realization he is back on track in crime-solving mode.

A slideshow shows images of doctors who died in the previous year. 30 deaths. This triggers a red flag of foul play. He is intrigued and starts digging.

Thirty pages.
Thirty dates.
Thirty people.
Thirty doctors.
Thirty cases of death.
Thirty homicides.

Was it murder, suicide, natural causes, or accidental deaths?

Page is convinced they were MURDERS.

His wife, Erin, .encourages him to investigate when a close friend of hers who was a the dinner hangs himself.

Once again, he becomes part of a complex murder investigation involving FBI Agent Whitaker, with whom Page has worked in the past, and the NYPD. When Page's wife Erin appears to be a murder target, the action heats up and starts to sizzle.

I have not had the pleasure of reading the first two books in the series because I was drawn to this cover and the description. Now, I am looking forward to going back and reading about the most this fascinating and unique protagonist stepping into the crime novel.

I enjoy humor mixed with my dark thrillers, and the witty banter between Lucas and Special Agent Alice Whitaker was hilarious and razor-sharp!

I like the author's writing style with a mix of cop procedural, mystery, crime thriller, medical, and psychological suspense thriller mixed with humor, well-developed characters, and fast-paced action. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Lucas reminds me a bit of Michael Connley's Harry Bosch and a few of David Baldacci's leading men with his signature personality and unique skill set.

Dead doctors: 32
Totaled government issued cars driven by Agent Whitaker: 5

This is the 3rd book in the Dr. Lucas Page series and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the other two! I love all of the main characters & I love the relationship between Lucas and Whitaker.

This story was extremely face paced and I don’t think there was ever a dull moment. So many twists and turns, there’s no way I would’ve been able to guess that ending (even though it was so obvious after Lucas explained it🤪).

Lucas Page is an unusual hero in a thriller. He’s a professor, a polymath, and astrophysicist. He’s married to a surgeon, and they have five adopted kids.

When a close friend is found dead, Lucas quickly proves that it was a murder staged to look like suicide. And worse, many doctors had died recently, in “accidents” or “suicides.” The only way this made mathematical sense is if they were all staged murders.

Lucas, his wife Erin, and their tribe of kids make very appealing characters, and the suspense will keep readers hanging on every word. Recommended. #DoNoHarm #NetGalley #SaltMarshAuthors

This is the third in the series and continues the story of Dr. Lucas Page who is an interesting character in that he is not the typical leading man type in these type of novels. This one centers around a murder type club that focuses on doctors including Page’s wife. As with the other two books in the series it is engaging making it a fast read. I would recommend that anyone new take the time to go back to the first book in the series and read them in order as it will make more sense although there is enough here to make it a stand alone novel.

I received a free ARC copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher with the understanding that I would post a review on Net Galley, Goodreads, Amazon and my nonfiction book review blog

I should have listened to my intuition and passed on Do No Harm: A Lucas Page Novel by Robert Pobi. I have read other books by Robert Pobi and liked them, but Do No Harm was a "should have passed" read for me. Lucas was an okay character, but the other characters had no redeeming qualities (i.e., a cop who drinks vodka and Gatorade while investigating crimes, the language between the characters). I lost interest in even caring what the outcome would be.

The story was okay. I would try other books by this author, but Do No Harm was not my favorite.

OMG! If I could give this book more then 5 stars I would. What a thrill ride. This series just gets better and better. I’m not a math whiz or an astrophysicist like the main character is, but don’t let all the scientific jargon throw you off. Lucas Page is an unusual character to say the least, his social skills take some getting use to, but put him on the hunt and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Don’t get me started on the ending. I about fell out of my chair when I got to that point. I’ll say no more about that. My lips are sealed. Although I did feel sorry for all the government vehicles damaged in the writing of this book.

August, 2022. Not long to wait at all!

Even though I haven't yet read any other books in the series, this book was easy to follow and didn't rely on too much history from previous books. I was fascinated by the Lucas Page character. He is a techno geek after my own heart. I enjoyed trying to figure out the clues along with Lucas and came to the absolute wrong conclusion. This book can easily be read as a stand along novel without having any foreknowledge of the character or series.

Lucas Page is back — and as good (and curmudgeonly!) as ever! This is the third book in the series, and it surely does not disappoint.

Page is an astrophysicist, former FBI agent, college professor, and famous author, who was injured in a previous accident that left him without an eye and with a prosthetic arm and leg. After a doctor friend of his wife’s supposedly commits suicide, Page discovers that there seems to be a pattern in the deaths of numerous doctors in NYC during the past year. Once again, he becomes part of an intricate murder investigation that involves FBI Agent Whitaker, with whom Page has worked in the past, as well as the NYPD. When Page’s wife Erin, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, appears to be a murder target, the action really heats up.

This is a real page turner, with plenty of James Bond type action and numerous twists and turns. As usual, Page’s supernormal analytical skills are the focal point of the action that ensues, skills that eventually solve the complex murder problem at hand. The ending is fitting and exciting, one that I doubt anyone could see coming.

All in all, this is another superb read in the Lucas Page saga, and I am already looking forward to the next one!

This is a mystery deluxe! Many unexpected deaths of New York City doctors in several specialties yet no commonalities. Dr. Page and his friends, associates, FBI, and police followed clues to no avail. Even with so many of Dr. Page’s team suffering loss of body parts, not one gave up looking for the killer. The author did an outstanding job of building characters, and all were so different. This book kept me guessing until the end, it was not at all predictable. Great book! I appreciate receiving a copy of this book from Netgalley in place of an honest review.

This is such a fabulous series! Each book ramps up the drama, anxiety and stakes in the perfect way that just skirts the boundaries of incredulity to produce a pulse-pounding tale of some new horrible situation only Lucas Page can resolve. Meanwhile, the slow build of the familial and professional relationships continues to develop into a fully rounded cast of characters that I am fully engaged with and committed to seeing through their adventures. The writing, pacing and plotting are spot-on here as always. I already can't wait for the next installment!

Lucas Page returns to more mystery and mayhem in this third title by Robert Pobi. Although missing an eye, a leg and an arm, Lucas leads a full life as a family man, astrophysicist, professor and crime solver. He has the extraordinary gift of analysis that enables him to focus on data where he sees patterns not evident to mere folks.

Bored at a medical fund-raiser, Page’s antennae go up during a presentation. This leads to the exploration of a series of murders, possible suspects, wild car chases, endangerment and puzzling theory pieces. New York City is the background and Pobi takes the reader and Page from hotdog places to high rent apartments. Page must solve the crime or others will be at risk and deaths will continue.

I must have been channeling Page because I quickly figured out the “how.” But the thrill of the chase, the “who,” the “why” as well as some unexpected turns by Pobi kept me reading all night. Recommended. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this title.

I have just read Do No Harm by Robert Pobi. This is the 3rd book in the Lucas Page Series.

In this book Lucas has discovered that there is a pattern with some recent deaths in the city. Many of the deaths appear to be doctors and members of the medical community.

A talented Doctor friend of Lucas’s wife Erin has committed suicide, and Lucas is discovering that many of these deaths are also friends of Erin.

I have read all three of the books in the series and did enjoy this one equally to the first two.

Thank you to NetGalley, Author Robert Pobi, and St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for my advanced copy to read and review.

“If Dr. Lucas Page didn’t exist, someone would have to invent him,” said someone in the book. And I’m so glad the author did. With artificial limbs and one glass eye, he more than makes up for it with a brain that rivals most supercomputers. Tracking dozens of murder cases all involving doctors, finding a link is maddening for Page, his partner, NYPD, and the FBI. Comparisons to Sherlock Holmes are easy as hints, threads, and other various types of evidence are pulled together in a thoroughly enjoyable novel. Great follow up, and I’m already looking forward to a third installment..

Do No Harm (August 2020) is the third book in Pobi’s Lucas Page thriller featuring an astrophysicist by profession, missing a natural arm, eye, and leg, but possessing an analytical brain that Mr. Spock would drool over. Page sees things in patterns faster than a speeding bullet. Here, he connects a pattern of deaths that no one else has put together. Although unevenly paced, this thriller does pick up after the first scene at a boring fundraiser.
