a cute fluffy heartfelt book. didn't really feel that much for the characters but they were still adorable!

I am such a sucker for food themed romance books now. This book lived up to my food themed romance. I enjoyed the chracters' little love story.

I haven’t read the first book in this series but I’d be lying if I said the enemies to lovers aspect of this book wasn’t what drew my attention! This was a fun to read, closed door romance (so be warned if that’s not your thing). Add in a road trip and only one bed and the rivals romance aspect was fab! The main downside for me when it comes to this read is the large use of the miscommunication trope as the main plot driver between the MCs and their romance.

Stirring Up Love hooked me in with palpable chemistry and a beautifully written and immersive writing style that I was pleasantly surprised to find in a contemporary romance. Stirring Up Love followed a unique premise with a classic trope: enemies to lovers, done as well as Finn and Simone's barbecue. with witty banter and aforementioned tension, their dynamic was sizzling and addicting to read, and the dual POV their story was told in allowed for mutual pining AND thirsting-- always a plus.
I hadn't read the first book prior to diving into this one, and I didn't find I was unable to follow or understand the plot whatsoever. Stirring Up Love and it's predecessor tell their own distinctly unique stories, and SUL provided adequate context to allow me to understand what was necessary without giving too much away. I'm certainly interested in looking into it to get a better sense of Chandra Blumberg's writing, which I greatly enjoyed.
I did find Simone's jump to dislike and sabotage in the pairs first meetings to be childish and unrealistic, but I can't entirely complain for the comedic effect and tension it brought to the story. I can definitely see myself picking this book up again, and I'd absolutely recommend the series to others.

Although I hadn't read the first book in this series, I still enjoyed the sequel! With great characters and a fun plot, this book definitely entertained and kept me reading.

Such an adorable book with a great premise and robust characters who aren't perfect! I loved it!

I love good enemies to lovers’ romance and jumped at the chance to read this book!
The story was cute and fun in some parts. I also absolutely loved the banter in this book, but the only point that really fell flat for me was the miscommunication throughout.

I did not realize that this book was a sequel book to Digging Up Love and I will definitely be picking it up. I liked the writers style and enjoyed the story overall.

The second installment in the series, Stirring Up Love is a cute romance novel about Simone, a driven, dream catching woman who wants to make her hometown a destination and and a haven for locals. She has inherited her Grandpa's BBQ restaurant and has big goals for it.

Enter Finn, an "out of towner" who has BBQ dreams himself.

Of course, as I'm sure you can imagine" there is some competition there that develops into a pretty cute relationship.

As far as my review.....Finn is a wonderful character. His past made me just adore him and want the best for him. I was rooting for him the whole time I was reading.

Simone was not my favorite. Even though there were reasons for her personality and attitude being what it was....it felt forced to me and she was not relatable. I found her to be a hypocrite and a snot most of the time. Her ambition made her rude.

Other than Simone, the characters and plot were enjoyable and I think the book was a fun romance read.

This was my first read by this author and it was An enemies to lovers, forced proximity, set in a small town.

I loved Simone and Finn's chemistry in this book. Their banter was great, my only sticking point with this story was it centered on a miscommunication throughout the whole book. But it was still an enjoyable story

Unfortunately, I didn't gel very well with this book, despite expecting wonderful things. Half of the book felt unnecessary, the lead character was a pain in the butt, Unfortunately not even the 'love-to-hate kind'. Glad it's finished in all honesty.

I haven’t read the first book in this series but I will definitely be picking it up as soon as I can. This book was delightful! If you like romance tropes aplenty then this is the book for you! It was so fun to see how many tropes popped up. This book should have come with a trope bingo card.

Simone and Finn end up butting heads over barbecue. Simone has a legacy business to live up to while is trying to make his own name in sauce. I thought this was going to be kind of a rival chef sort of story but it was so much more than that. They end up on a Shark Tank kind of show to invest in their businesses but the investors want them to work together. Simone and Finn then end up on a road trip back home where Finn tries to convince Simone they should partner together and all the tropes ensue. Side note: I never knew I needed a Shark Tank kind of romance book but I will happily take another one especially is this author wants to write it.

The road trip was fun, the characters were interesting and complex. There’s a trope for everyone (except one at the end which I really personally don’t like so it lowered my rating a fraction). I’d recommend this read to romance fans. There’s not much in the way of steamy scenes but I liked the story so much I didn’t mind it. I’ll be picking up the first book and keeping an eye out for this author’s next story!

This is a first time read for me by this author. I really enjoy romantic comedies and am always looking for new authors and decided to give this a try and I was not disappointed. An enemies to lovers story involving a road trip and only one bed, what's not to love? Simone and Finn go to war with their respective homemade barbecue sauces, each trying to put themselves on the map. When both end up on a reality show, ready to show off their barbecue sauce, things get quite out of control. But it's not until they are travelling back home, until things really start heating up between them.
The story caught my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through. This was a fun and easy read,. The book definitely left me with a smile on my face and a happy feeling afterwards. The characters were interesting and well-developed with realistic qualities that gave them an authentic personality and were easily relatable. And the chemistry between Simone and Finn simply sizzled!
A fun, flirty, romantic comedy that I am happy to have had the opportunity to read!

This is my first book from this author but sadly it was not for me. I hated, nay detested, the main characters and wished them harm for much of the book. They’re just so mean to each other and you never really understand why you’re meant to like them or why they like each other. It’s also got so much plot and so many dramas that you never get a chance to really get to know them. But as they’re awful maybe that’s for the best. Hey ho

I had such a great time going on this roller-coaster of emotions. I usually don't read enemies to lovers because the tension of enemies doesn't give me the swoons like it gives other readers, so I know any enemies-to-lovers fan will adore this. The misunderstandings, the argument (ON LIVE TV), the bickering on the road trip, they'll hit just right because they hit for me. I fell so hard and I got so hungry reading about these two cooking. I loved the bonding moments with their families in the last parts of the book. Precious characters who'll live in my head.

The miscommunication trope is RIFE in this book, and it was really poorly done here. I'm not a fan anyway, but this one really didn't work for me as these were, in so many other aspects of their lives, fully grown adults.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes but nothing about the characters here sparkled for me enough to care about them.

This was an enjoyable book. I love the enemies to lovers trope and this one was no disappointment.
The plot really sucked me in and the banter kepting me laughing everytime i picked the book up. Absolutely loved the chemistry between the characters as well.

This was an enjoyable enemies to lovers story with great banter, sizzling chemistry and plenty of laugh out loud moments. Though this was the second book of the series, it can be read as a stand alone as I haven't read book one, though I might have to now!

A great read, and I liked how it was told from both points of view. Looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Stirring Up Love was a decent romance, but overall fairly forgettable for me. I enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers plotline (always my favorite trope), but there was nothing remarkable or fresh in my opinion. Maybe this one just wasn't for me. I do hope it finds its readers though!

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet.

I didn’t like this book and that’s because almost all the conflict is based on miscommunication and I absolutely can’t stand that. Especially when the characters are supposed to be adults. If you’re grown enough to run a business, to work in corporate America, if you’re old enough to have the ability to open a culinary school, then you’re old enough to have a conversation.

It’s one thing that I didn’t really bond to the characters which I’m disappointed by. It’s not like the writing is bad.

The characters just didn’t do it for me. And with a road trip, BBQ, enemies to lovers, this should have been everything but I just didn’t like it. And that’s probably stems from the fact that I couldn’t stand the fact they couldn’t act like adults and just communicate.

It’s a two (2) stars from me, and I don’t think I’ll recommend it. I’m really tired of romance’s biggest flaw being miscommunication. I want the character’s actions to be the cause of conflict. Not them not actually talking to the person they’re having sex with.
